2. The Cyclist King

On January 24th, Celltrion Entertainment released new images for the upcoming movie The Cyclist King, starring Rain, Kang So Ra, Lee Beom Soo, and Kim Hee Won. The film is an independent project based on the true story of Uhm Bok Dong (1892-1951), a legendary cyclist whose life inspired and motivated many young Koreans during the early 20th century. In the film, Rain portrays Uhm Bok Dong, a cyclist during the time when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule. During this period, Japan organized bicycle races between Korean and Japanese athletes, and Uhm Bok Dong thwarted Japan’s plans by defeating their racers.
This project will be directed and written by Kim Yoo Sung, known for the 2006 film *Hot for Teacher*. It also marks Rain's return to the big screen after a five-year hiatus since his last film, *The Prince* (2014).

The plot of Polaroid begins when Brad, a lonely high school student, stumbles upon a Polaroid camera at a thrift store. After using the camera, strange and disturbing events start to occur. As the dark history of the camera is uncovered, those who are photographed begin to meet gruesome and painful deaths. The film features a talented young cast, including Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), Tyler Young (Eyewitness), and Keenan Tracey (Bates Motel).

Quyên suggests Hiền randomly call a phone number and vent her feelings to a stranger. As the days pass, Hiền grows fond of these daily conversations and doesn’t want them to end. She shares with him not only her heartbreak but also the difficulties she faces at work with her tough and demanding boss, Lộc (Huy Khánh).
