Dốc Lết is a destination that requires some effort to reach, as visitors must cross sandy dunes, making the journey a bit more tiring and time-consuming. However, once you’ve passed these sand dunes, you’ll arrive at a paradise-like spot with fine white sand and crystal-clear waters. After a day of splashing in the sea or sandboarding, visitors can enjoy fresh seafood right on the spot, such as shrimp, crab, clams, and sea snails, at much lower prices than in the city center. Dốc Lết Beach is located about 50km north of Nha Trang in Ninh Hòa. The entrance fee is 20,000 VND per person.
2. YangBay Waterfall
YangBay Waterfall is another must-visit spot in the area. Located in Khánh Phú, Khánh Vĩnh District, about 50km from Nha Trang, this waterfall drops from 100 meters above sea level and is surrounded by pristine jungle with stunning scenery, including rocks, water, and a vibrant display of blooming flowers throughout the year. The entrance fee is 100,000 VND for adults and 50,000 VND for children.
3. Trí Nguyên Aquarium
Located on Bồng Nguyên Island (also known as Hòn Miễu), just 5km south of Nha Trang, Trí Nguyên Aquarium offers visitors the chance to stroll around the lake or sit at the pavilion and enjoy the stunning marine life in crystal-clear waters. The aquarium is essentially a sea-based lagoon enclosed by a sturdy coral stone wall, with water levels matching the sea level. It consists of four sections covering an area of 150-200m², with the largest section covering 3 hectares and housing the most species of fish. Along the walkways, various trees like frangipani, casuarina, and yellow-leafed plants are planted. Near the aquarium is Sỏi Beach, which still retains its pristine charm, with the sea in front and dense forest behind. The entrance fee to the aquarium is 50,000 VND per person.
4. Hòn Chồng
Located about 3km northeast of Nha Trang city, Hòn Chồng is a cluster of large boulders with unique shapes, stacked on top of each other and extending from the cliffside down to the sea. A smaller group of rocks, called Hòn Vợ, can be found at the foot of the hill to the east. Hòn Chồng offers a tranquil atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
