Hon Co Mountain is named after the storks that used to inhabit it, hence the locals call it Hon Co, and Nam Mui Mountain is named for its location to the south of the village. As for the term 'Binh Ba,' according to local folklore passed down through generations, 'Binh' could mean 'peaceful' or Binh Dinh because they believe their ancestors migrated from the Binh Dinh region to settle here, starting to establish themselves from the late 17th to early 18th century. After settling down and forming the village, the population gradually increased, making a living through fishing and seafood catching. Around the early 18th century, the villagers erected the Nam Hai Mausoleum using bamboo frames, mud walls to worship 'Mr. Nam Hai,' and over time, the mausoleum has been renovated.
