It's like a predetermined truth that supernatural beings cannot coexist on the same land as humans. However, it still exists, there are still many individuals out there living in hiding for fear of the 'exterminators' like Yi Yeon or Yi Rang. Similar to the mutant ensemble of the X-Men, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho brings a truth that being different still makes many people hesitant and self-conscious, and elements like 'diversity', 'difference', or 'living authentically' are still not entirely welcomed openly.

6. Mirror of the Witch - 2016
While most Korean television dramas contain emotionally rich, everyday stories even within dramatic genres, Mirror of the Witch envelops a darker atmosphere, closer to a horror film than a fairy tale. The series heavily features supernatural elements such as mystical spells, ghosts, and demons, often surprising viewers with frightening scenes unexpected in a television drama.
The witch Hong Joo is the standout antagonist of Mirror of the Witch. She is ruthlessly malicious, willing to kill anyone, including her own mentor, to achieve her goals. 7. Night Watchman - 2014
The series revolves around the 'night watchmen,' who protect against evil during the Joseon era (1392 - 1897). From a young age, Crown Prince Lee Rin (Jung Il Woo) witnesses horrific battles within the royal palace. After surviving an assassination attempt, he discovers his ability to see ghosts, which he keeps hidden. To disguise the threats from dark forces, Lee Rin maintains a cheerful and humorous demeanor.
