1. Blueberries
According to Eastern medicine, blueberries are warm fruits with the ability to relieve cough, treat digestive and respiratory diseases... Brown sugar, known for its sweet taste, is considered a neutral food and is used in cases of headaches, dizziness, dry cough with little phlegm, sore throat, and body cooling.
You can use 5-7 fresh blueberries, soaked in saltwater and then rinsed. Cut in half, remove the seeds, mix with 3-4 tablespoons of brown sugar, and steam for 30 minutes. Use 3-4 teaspoons each time, 3 times a day, and it's best to use the blueberry peel for optimal effectiveness.


2. Ginkgo Fruit
Ginkgo fruit has a spicy, bitter, sour taste and warm property used to treat indigestion, bloating, stomach pain, liver pain, sore throat, chest tightness, and especially persistent cough very effectively. Ginkgo fruit contains a lot of vitamin C, sugar, organic acids, lemon oil, with the effect of pain relief, harmonizing qi, relieving phlegm, strengthening the spleen, reducing cough, making the chest comfortable, treating nausea, and relieving hangover...
Clean the ginkgo fruit, soak it in salt water, then slice it thinly (without discarding anything) and mix it with licorice, brown sugar. The ratio of ginkgo fruit: licorice: brown sugar is 1:1:1. Steam for 30-50 minutes then let it cool, squeeze out the juice (you can keep the pulp for adults to use for better results), store it in the refrigerator and use it gradually. Take about 10 ml each time, 3-4 times a day or use it when coughing a lot.

Lime peel contains many essential oils that are effective in treating coughs, sore throats, colds, and reducing fever... while lime pulp contains a significant amount of citric acid, so it is very effective in preventing and treating coughs, hoarseness. When soaked with honey and brown sugar, the effect of lime increases significantly.
You use 1 kg of apricot limes soaked in light salt water for 30 minutes then wash and slice (do not remove the seeds), use about 600g of brown sugar (it is better to buy ground sugar for faster dissolution). Place the lime slices in a glass jar, for each layer of lime, sprinkle a layer of sugar until finished, then pour honey to cover all the lime and sugar (use about 1 liter of honey), note not to let the lime float above the honey because the lime will spoil. Lime can be used after 1 month, the longer the lime is stored, the better the effectiveness.
For children from 1.5 years old, use 1 teaspoon in the early morning when waking up, while adults use 1 slice of lime mixed with the soaking solution, chew and hold for 15-20 minutes before swallowing. Use 3-4 times a day.

Mix 2 teaspoons with warm water each time to treat cough with phlegm, dry throat, and hoarseness. 1 pear and 1/2 an almond are finely sliced to extract juice to protect the voice, especially for those who speak a lot like teachers, singers.
1kg pears (seedless), 1kg white turnips, 250g fresh ginger, 250g condensed milk, 250g honey. Juice the pears, turnips, and ginger separately, boil the turnip juice vigorously then simmer until thick like glue, add ginger juice, condensed milk, honey, stir well, simmer gently until boiling then remove from heat, let cool, and store in a glass jar. Helps treat evening fever, prolonged cough, and reduced phlegm.


7. Fructus Momordicae
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine: Fructus Momordicae, also known as bitter melon, is one of the medicinal fruits with a sweet, cool taste that helps treat cough, lung inflammation, and clears stubborn phlegm, significantly enhancing the body's immune function.
Take 15-30g of dried bitter melon and brew with boiling water for daily consumption to prevent coughs and boost the body's immune system.
Wash thoroughly 1 dried bitter melon, chop finely, then mix with 25g of dried hawthorn, brew to drink instead of water to effectively treat coughs. Use 20g of bitter melon fruit and 12g of dried belamcanda chinensis to brew medicine for treating dry coughs and coughs with phlegm.


8. Turmeric
According to the American Chemical Society's Chemistry Journal, turmeric contains numerous compounds such as antioxidants, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-cancer, anti-mutagenic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Thinly slice fresh turmeric (about 6-7 slices), fresh lime thinly sliced, finely chopped ginger mixed together in a ratio of 2:2:1, add honey or brown sugar (about 2 teaspoons) and a little boiling water. Steam for about 7-10 minutes to effectively treat cough and respiratory inflammation.
If you don't have time, you can mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with hot milk for morning and evening use to help reduce cough and sore throat.

Sliced sour khế fruit mixed with salt or honey, soaked for a while before eating, has surprising effects. It helps relieve cough and effectively reduces hoarseness.
Khế flowers marinated in ginger water or ginger wine, then sun-dried. Consume 4-12g licorice root, 12g Southern Tsao-ko fruit, 8-10g Perilla leaves, and 8-10g perilla leaf stem. Boil with 750ml water, strain to obtain 300ml, divide into 2 portions to drink before meals to treat cough with phlegm.
500g of green or slightly yellow sour khế fruit, washed and squeezed for juice, 200g of basil (the kind with flowers is better) finely ground with 30ml boiling water, strained, 200g brown sugar mixed evenly, steamed in a double boiler for 1 hour, then cooled and stored in the refrigerator for gradual consumption. For infants aged 6-8 months, administer 1.5 teaspoons of this mixture per serving, from 9 months to 1 year: 2 teaspoons per serving, over 1 year: 3 teaspoons per serving, twice a day.


10. Chives
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, chives have a slightly sour and spicy taste, warm nature, and are effective in supporting the kidneys, nourishing yang energy, regulating the middle burner, promoting qi circulation, dispelling blood stasis, detoxifying, stopping bleeding, and relieving cough.
Finely chop chive leaves and mix them with honey (or brown sugar) then steam until the chives are soft. Consuming this mixture hot 2-3 times a day can quickly treat cough. This is also a remedy for bronchitis with clear effects.
Prepare 10g of chopped chive leaves, 20g of roasted turmeric root, peeled and mashed, and 1 fresh lemon, washed and sliced. Put all three ingredients in a bowl, add brown sugar and mix well. Eat before bedtime to reduce dry cough and cough with phlegm.
Take 15g of chive leaves, 15g of male papaya flowers, and 20g of lime seeds, wash them all and crush them. Add brown sugar and a little boiling water, let it cool then steam until cooked. Drink this solution 3 times a day for 3-4 days to relieve cough.
