1. The 804-Year-Old Sanh Tree
The 804-year-old Sanh Tree in the village of Suối Cốc, Hợp Hòa commune, Lương Sơn district, Hoa Binh province, features over 50 roots spread across hundreds of square meters, with the largest trunk circumference in Vietnam. It is one of the oldest and most significant ancient trees in Vietnam today.

2. The 736-Year-Old Gạo Tree
The 736-year-old Gạo Tree was planted by Princess Quỳnh Trân at the Mõ Temple in Nghi Dương village, Ngũ Phúc commune, Kiến Thụy district, Hai Phong city. The main trunk stands about 30 meters tall with a circumference exceeding 2 meters. A secondary trunk grows out of the main base with a diameter of 0.49 meters. The tree was officially recognized as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree by VACNE during the Mõ Temple Festival on March 16, 2011.

3. The 304-Year-Old Banyan Tree with 13 Roots
The Banyan Tree with 13 Roots in Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong, is considered the largest banyan tree in Vietnam, featuring the most roots. According to local legend, the tree has a temple dedicated to the deity Thổ Vượng, who helped the villagers clear land and establish their settlement. The 13-root banyan tree has become a popular spiritual tourism site, attracting visitors from all over the country.

4. The 304-Year-Old Sấu Tree
The 304-year-old Sấu Tree is located near the Sóc Giang border gate in Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province, less than 7 meters from the Vietnam-China border marker 651. Standing at 38 meters tall with a trunk diameter of 3.13 meters, this tree was officially recognized as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree on September 3, 2012. It continues to be protected and cared for by the local community and authorities.

5. The 300-Year-Old Tân Trào Banyan Tree
The Tân Trào Banyan Tree is a prominent attraction in the Tân Trào Historical Site in Sơn Dương district, Tuyên Quang province. Originally consisting of two trees, known as the "Old Banyan" and the "Female Banyan," they stood about 10 meters apart. Unfortunately, the "Old Banyan" was toppled by a storm, leaving only a small branch. The "Female Banyan" has nearly withered due to its old age and harsh weather conditions, leaving only one living branch. However, the Tân Trào Banyan Tree is now being carefully revived with scientific care.

6. The 300+ Year-Old White Mai Tree
The White Mai Tree located at Phú Tự communal house yard, Phú Hưng commune, Bến Tre city, Bến Tre province, is over 300 years old. This tree is also known as "Mai God" or "The Famous White Mai Tree." According to local legend, during the reign of King Minh Mạng, when the people of Phú Hưng chose the land to build the Phú Tự communal house, the White Mai tree was already thriving.
Currently, the original trunk has decayed, but many smaller branches have emerged, spreading across an area of over 200 square meters. The tree reaches a height of 14 meters, with a dense cluster of about 50 trunks ranging from 5-6 meters tall, and 16 larger trunks with diameters of 20-30 cm.

7. Yang Lành Bodhi Tree, Approximately 132 Years Old
The Bodhi Tree (Ficus Religiosa L) in Yang Lành village, Đắk Lắk, is around 132 years old. The tree has 9 trunks, standing nearly 29 meters tall, with a diameter of 2.7 meters and a canopy that spans nearly 30 square meters. According to some elders from Yang Lành, the tree was planted by a monk from Pắc Xế, Laos.
In March 2014, the Asian Record Organization and the Vietnam Record Holders Association officially recognized this Bodhi Tree as the oldest planted tree in the Central Highlands.

8. The 2104-Year-Old Tau Tree
The Tau Tree, 2104 years old located at the Thiên Cổ Temple (in Hương Lan village, Trưng Vương commune, Việt Trì city, Phú Thọ province), was recognized as a Vietnamese heritage tree by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) on May 28, 2012. It is the oldest living tree in Vietnam. Since its recognition as a heritage tree, local and central environmental protection organizations have collaborated with the community to ensure proper care through scientific methods.
Thanks to timely interventions, such as removing soil and rocks around its trunk, expanding its living space, fertilizing, eliminating mold and parasites, and trimming diseased branches, the Tau Tree has thrived with numerous new shoots sprouting this spring.

9. The Dã Hương Tree, Nearly 1000 Years Old
The Dã Hương Tree, located in Giữa village, Tiên Lục, Lạng Giang, Bắc Giang, was recognized as a Vietnamese heritage tree on November 26, 2013. The tree has a diameter of 2.59 meters, stands nearly 30 meters tall, and is approximately 1000 years old.
This species is incredibly rare, with its essential oils found in all parts of the tree. The roots contain safrole, a valuable compound used in food and cosmetic production. The wood of the Dã Hương tree is also prized for producing high-quality, fragrant incense.

10. The Duối Grove of 18 Trees, Around 1000 Years Old
The Duối Grove consisting of 18 trees, aged around 1000 years, is located in Cam Lâm village (Đường Lâm, Sơn Tây, Hanoi). This area was historically used by King Ngô Quyền to tether war elephants and horses after military drills, in preparation for his decisive victory at the Bạch Đằng River, ending a thousand years of Chinese rule. The grove of 18 trees was recognized as a heritage site on April 22, 2011.
