1. Love in Hưng Yên
Welcome back to HƯNG YÊN
To be mesmerized by orchards full of fruit
The HƯNG HẢI River carries abundant shrimp and fish
Fields covered with thousands of green rice plants
The sour soil now nurtures many crops
The people here are honest and diligent
Gentle nature, unaware of anger or resentment
In hardship, the mouth still smiles brightly
Building a life with remarkable intelligence
For the motherland to become richer and more beautiful
Laden with lychees, branches proud and high
With friends always side by side, moving forward
Come once to never forget
The old village has undergone many changes
Many long, wide sugar mills are open
Always welcoming friends for a livelihood
Come here to talk about love and fate
So that winter evenings don't chill the village girls
For HƯNG YÊN, sweet with its own love story
Please come back to the lychee land HƯNG YÊN.
Poetry: Lê Nhường

2. Back to my hometown
Have you visited the land of lychee with me?
Bán Nguyệt Lake reflects the shadow of the couple
Immerse the soul in the sound of distant temple bells
Watch the storks gracefully dance in the hometown street.
Under the moonlight, stroll along the riverbank
The river sparkles, flowing back to the past
In the illusion, as if from the legend of Fairy Dung - Dong Tu
Stepping out from the ancient fairy tale.
Together with me, feel the breeze carrying fragrances
The lotus field exudes the scent of young girls
Pinkish hues clinging to the footsteps of many visitors
Captivating souls in the inner charming fields of love.
Dispel the darkness with the shimmering electric lights
The young city adorns itself with new clothes
Every aspiration is reaching out day by day
Hưng Yên, oh! Fulfill the long-awaited expectations.
A moment of reunion, two people counting each second
Savor the thick, sweet aroma of luscious lychees
Each gentle touch, my lips close to yours
The path of love paints our steps in purple hues.
Poem: Lê Duyên

3. Inviting you to visit my hometown
Hưng Yên, my small hometown
With Three Genies Pagoda, fertile alluvial soil
My commune along the Red River's tributary
By the Cai River, known as Tan Chau
My district named Khoai Chau
With Tien Dung returning from Phong Chau
Meeting Chu Dong Tu, lost in fascination
No harshness along the riverbank of the Red River
We have Dạ Trạch vast and extensive
Mudflat, reed field devoted to the King
We have Trieu Quang Phuc passionately
Building a stronghold to resist and defeat the enemy
Under French colonial rule, Đởm post, Phuong Tru
Guerillas bravely fought, forcing the French to retreat
Female guerrilla Hoang Ngan
Bearing blows to defeat the enemy, multiple times the French withdrew
Famous for lychees, joyfully cheering
Gifted by the King, sweet and succulent for years
Pho Hien, with a history of about a thousand years
Now, large streets and roads, a hundred thousand times more
Bac Hung Hai aids farmers
Irrigating fields, contributing to abundant harvests
The whole nation grateful to the General Secretary
For innovating tax policies in a timely manner.

4. Proud Women of Hưng Yên
The land of fertile alluvial soil, Hưng Yên
Women of Hưng Yên, excellent and loyal
Three Obediences, Four Virtues, admirable qualities
Courageous beyond measure since ancient times.
Ỷ Lan, beautiful and wise
Skilled in diplomacy, a political genius
Empress Regnant for the second time
Contributed to the prosperity of the Ly Dynasty.
Đào Thị Huệ, using both talent and beauty
Sang a song of peach blossoms to kill Ming invaders
Devised a plan, offering wine to intoxicate the enemy
Boldly sacrificed herself to let the enemy drift away in the river.
Two wars seemingly paused before their eyes
Women always resilient and steadfast
Hoàng Ngân, a shining example forever
A woman of strength worthy of the name.
Bùi Thị Cúc, the name of a female hero
Full-moon age, blossoming and beautiful
Youth sacrificed for life
A beauty vanquishing enemies, revealing a glorious battlefield.
These shining, unwavering examples
The Lạc Hồng blood, people of Hưng Yên
For many years, resisting the Americans with enduring determination
My brave mother, selflessly forgetting herself.
Each child sacrificed in battle
Husbands not returning, mothers resenting the cruel enemy
Shouldering the burden, raising soldiers
Resolute, kind, and dutiful to the utmost.
The day of liberation, the sun rises brightly
Spring has come, women are even more radiant
Bright smiles on their lips
Strengthening production, building a prosperous life.
Now, continuing the golden tradition
Still resolute, brave, and loyal
Household chores and national duties carried with strength
Energetic, creative, and intelligent.
Living with humanity, loyalty, and virtue
Confidently weaving love and affection
Building families, developing the homeland
Wealthy people, a strong nation, all joining hands.
Pho Hien, the old town, bustling today
Women, together in integration, rise
Neighborly love from bottom to top
Teaching children to be good, mothers kind and successful.
Always worthy of the Dragon and Phoenix lineage
Women of Hưng Yên, the descendants of heroes
Today we are determined and united
Building and developing the country, rich with youth.

5. Lanterns in My Hometown
Who visits the land of Hưng Yên,
Admires the charming, enchanting daughter,
She's radiantly smiling,
Welcoming the season of bountiful fruits from heaven.
As the sweet and fragrant season arrives,
The local longan trees bear fruits big and succulent.
Nowhere else can compare to this place,
Where trees bear sweet fruits filled with delightful aroma.
This longan belongs to the homeland,
She presents it as a gift to a beloved with heartfelt affection.
She stands there alone,
Perhaps awaiting a distant lover.
She sends this longan as a gift,
To a young man, a symbol of the homeland.
So our love will forever linger,
And you will remember the homeland of longan.
In the future, as husband and wife,
Your heart will forever remember the fields of her homeland.
Longan, sweet fruit of Hưng Yên,
Forever renowned in every corner of the homeland.

6. My Hometown Hưng Yên
My hometown shines in history,
Formerly the first and second capital, Hưng Yên,
Many brave hearts devoted themselves,
Sacrificing for the country and the cause of freedom.
Countless individuals overcoming challenges and growing,
Lifetime dedication to the well-being of our people,
In my homeland, there's Nguyễn Văn Ninh,
General Phạm Ngũ Lão, a legendary and resolute figure.
An immortal love story through the ages,
Bắc Sơn, Bãi Sậy, once echoing with heroic songs,
The fragrance of longan blossoms fills the air,
Straight fields as vivid as Đông Hồ paintings.
People and landscapes become poetry,
Bán Nguyệt Lake, where the lady awaits to wash her feet,
Oh, don't hesitate or have second thoughts,
Come visit the longan land, bond with dear friends.

7. Return to Hưng Yên
Come with me back to Hưng Yên,
Whispers of someone singing, sweet and enchanting.
Stroll through Phố Hiến for a while,
This is the trading port in my heart, my dear!
Time passes, but never forgets,
The tranquil village market with its rhythmic nights and days.
I enter Hiến Pagoda, where the bell tolls,
A soul serene, like paradise for so long.
Visit Đồng Tử Temple, with profound grace,
Tall buildings, love overflowing, released and flowing.
Đa Hòa, Dạ Trạch... holding grudges,
A thousand years, Bãi Sậy... still etched in memory.
Celebrate Hàm Tử, the day of departure,
Visit the Mẫu Temple... adorned, elegant, abundant.
An eight-hundred-year-old tree, how astonishing!
Bending Bán Nguyệt Lake, who built it, extending an invitation?
Gently swaying in an elegant posture,
Hằng Nga combs her hair, which mirror did she drop?
Làng Nôm, fields of rice to the horizon,
The banyan tree, the water's edge... who sits there, fishing?
Roofs disappearing in the distance, melancholy ripples,
Release the soul with the wind, quickly sinking into the sad direction.
Local specialties of the homeland,
Longan in Phố Hiến, sheltering softly on tender lips.
Flavorful soy sauce, calling its name,
Frogs embracing, quivering, scripting a date.
Who granted the chicken liver pâté?
Returning, murmuring, worried, thin and gaunt.
Where are you hiding, my dear?
Evening shadows eagerly clutch the souls of trees.
Hưng Yên ripens in the red dreams,
The sound of hearts rushing to the shore of love.

8. Hưng Yên in the Season of Ripe Longans
I returned to visit your hometown
Ripe longans in Hưng Yên, the eighth month
As the autumn breeze just arrived at the lake
My heart stirred in the warm early-season sun.
Fragrance wafting through the old garden
Round, ripe fruits bursting with vitality
Thick pulp, white skin, golden-brown, water-rich
Sweetness distinct, the scent of your homeland.
I came to Hưng Yên, my affection grew stronger
The landscapes, the famous temples and shrines
The rosy-cheeked, friendly local girls
Under the tilting autumn sun, heading home.
In August, along the embankment, your homeland's longans ripen
A boat carries autumn, overflowing with longing
On my first day, I felt a bit bewildered
Calling the ferry as the longans turned ripe.
I returned to your beloved homeland, oh my dear
Love for the land of Hưng Yên, love immeasurably
It earnestly lulls my soul like that
When returning from the longan season in your homeland.

9. Fragrance of Longans in Hưng Yên
Has anyone come to Hưng Yên?
Visit my longan garden
Plump, sweet, and refreshing longans
The King's advancing longan variety
Exceptional specialty
Afternoon rain, morning sunshine
The fragrance of longans permeates every lung and heart chamber
Beneath the azure sky
The longan orchard stands charmingly
Displaying bunches of delicious, fragrant fruits brimming with sweetness
I love my hometown
So, I love every inch of this land...

10. Longing for Hưng Yên Homeland
So, the longan season returns
Far from home, haven't been to Hưng Yên for so long
Due to constant work engagements
Haven't revisited my Hưng Yên homeland.
Homeland carries so much meaning, so much emotion
There, the shadow of the past lingers
Life's fate is bitter, full of sourness
Since then, we've drifted apart... lost each other now.
