9. Maka & Soul
Maka and Soul from Soul Eater make an intriguing duo. At first glance, they seem incompatible, let alone understanding each other. Maka lacks any special powers, whereas Soul can transform into an incredibly powerful scythe.

Maka often doubts her abilities and is a perfectionist, so she can't perform well under too much pressure. However, Soul is more carefree and faces everything as it comes. They complement each other well. Maka becomes a pillar of support for Soul, while Soul helps Maka overcome her fears. They are both dedicated to the goal of turning Soul into a death scythe.
8. Yuno & Asta
Yuno and Asta in Black Clover are an outstanding pair. Both are orphaned children hoping to become magic knights. While Yuno luckily receives the four-leaf grimoire, Asta receives the five-leaf clover.

Objectively speaking, Yuno is much stronger than Asta. However, Asta can still perform anti-magic swordsmanship, meaning he is an excellent swordsman. Together, they've formed a harmonious team. Asta's swordsmanship combined with Yuno's seamlessly honed magical knight abilities allows them to defeat countless foes.
7. Saitama & Genos
Saitama and Genos from One Punch Man form a captivating duo. Saitama possesses unmatched strength, yet he doesn't feel fulfilled because of it. Among colleagues, Saitama appears friendly and enjoys being around them. Of course, among them, only Genos is close to Saitama in the role of a disciple. Genos is a demon cyborg with strength comparable to Saitama's.

The pair works with mutual respect. Genos respects Saitama as a master. Meanwhile, Saitama values Genos's presence, as it prevents him from defeating villains with just one punch.
6. Killua & Gon

Gon and Killua from Hunter X Hunter are one of anime's classic duos. They meet during the early stages of the hunter exam and immediately hit it off. They've been friends ever since. Killua has had a difficult childhood, lonely as he was raised to be an assassin. His life only begins to change upon meeting Gon - an energetic and outgoing child. Though Gon and Killua have certainly had arguments, disagreements throughout the story, they undeniably complement each other well.
