3. Moles on your right arm
You might be surprised to know that you can detect signs of developing skin cancer within your body just by observing moles. Research from the UK has determined that counting moles can actually predict the likelihood of skin cancer.
British researchers counted the number of moles on around 4,000 pairs of white-skinned twins. They observed that those with more than 11 moles on their right arm happened to have around 100 moles on their entire body. This figure means that such individuals are at a higher risk of developing skin cancer, although immediate medical attention may not be necessary. Additionally, if you notice any changes in color or shape of any mole on your body, it's best to visit a doctor for a check-up as soon as possible.

4. Rotate your mattress frequently
If you're not accustomed to paying attention to the cleanliness of your mattress, it's definitely time to start. While you sleep, your body undergoes various processes. This includes shedding dead skin cells, sweating, and much more, especially if you share your bed with your partner. You should wash your mattress cover every 1-2 weeks, depending on their condition. You should also keep track of what you place on your bed as items like laptops, mobile phones, and books are often placed anywhere you go.

5. Hugs
'A hug a day keeps the doctor away.' It not only helps keep your mind healthy but also makes you happier. Sheldon Cohen, a psychology professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania, says, 'Hugging protects stressed people from getting sick.'
Hugs also help us alleviate stress and release a hormone called oxytocin, which is responsible for bonding us with others.

6. This 30-Second Exercise Can Work Wonders for Your Body
There are some regular exercises that can extend your lifespan by years. How to do it: Stand straight and raise your heels about 4-5 cm. Hold for 30 seconds then lower your heels back to the starting position and repeat 8-10 times daily.
Benefits of this exercise: When you raise your heels, the major vessels will fill with blood due to muscle contraction. And as your heels are lowered back down, the blood will immediately start moving back towards the heart. This movement helps reduce stress on the heart. The exercise can be easily done anywhere and takes hardly any time.

7. Avoid Wearing Contact Lenses While Sleeping
Sometimes you feel so tired that all you can do is sit down or lay in bed to rest your eyes for a bit. This is perfectly fine and is even highly encouraged in some cultures. However, this is not healthy for those who wear contact lenses.
Sleeping in contact lenses can trigger corneal neovascularization, and it can even lead to your eyes becoming completely irritated by the lenses. Additionally, it can lead to issues like red eyes, corneal ulcers, and other conditions like giant papillary conjunctivitis. So, take the time to remove these lenses before sleeping.

8. Read as Much as You Can
Reading books has countless benefits. It reduces various types of stress, uplifts mood, and also helps you eliminate cortisol, also known as the stress hormone. Many researchers have proven that people who regularly read books or listen to music have lower stress levels. Daily reading can increase lifespan, reduce memory loss symptoms, and, of course, bring much joy to your daily habits.

9. Avoid Prolonged Sitting or Standing
Standing or sitting for too long can cause fatigue. And not only that, it's also not good for your health. According to the Annals of Internal Medicine, 'People who sit for long periods have a higher risk of death, even if they exercise regularly.'
And if someone tells you that standing for a long time burns more calories, tell them that it also has negative effects on health. According to The Conversation, prolonged standing can lead to blood pooling in the legs, increased pressure in the veins, and increased oxidative stress, all of which can have negative effects on the body. Therefore, experts advise taking breaks after every hour of work.

10. Control Your Cravings Test in 15 Minutes
The test consists of two groups. Each group will be given a tempting cake. Then, they are asked to wait for 15 minutes before deciding whether to eat the cake. Afterwards, they are asked again if they want to eat the cake. Observations show that neither group feels as hungry as they did initially.
This proves that portion size doesn't matter. It's only the pleasure of eating that's important, and 15 minutes can easily overcome that craving. So, wait for 15 minutes before giving in to temptation in a few seconds and help yourself towards a healthier body.
