2. Challenge Me - Lê Hoàng Nam
Challenge Me is a YouTube series where the host delves into the mysteries of life that have no clear answers, sparking curiosity, and even fear. Through these explorations, the channel also showcases the natural beauty, people, history, geography, and customs of Vietnam.
Born in 1984, Lê Hoàng Nam describes himself as an older man, though he humorously admits that he remains easily intrigued by tales of treasures and ancient royal relics. He once ventured to Thái Nguyên, climbing a mountain in search of a cave that supposedly housed a Chinese official's tomb from the Northern Domination period, rumored to contain a hidden fortune. The cave, shaped like a human mouth, required him to rappel down a steep slope as if entering a throat. Despite being previously excavated, Nam was still thrilled to find ancient inscriptions and a coffin still hanging on the wall. He even tried lying in the coffin while locals closed the lid on him.
Hoàng Nam has also caused quite a stir with his numerous “ghost hunting” videos, from Thuận Kiều Plaza (Saigon) to the haunted house at 300 Kim Mã (Hanoi). He doesn’t believe in spirits, and during his investigations of these infamous haunted houses, he never encountered anything unusual. “Some people told me I needed to call spirits; I just followed their instructions. Others claimed ghosts avoid people with tattoos, so that’s why I didn’t find anything,” Nam jokingly explains why he never encountered anything supernatural. For him, the real explanation behind these abandoned houses and the stories surrounding them is simply people’s imagination. He always leaves the locations as he found them, a principle he never changes.
Hoàng Nam chooses destinations based on a few key factors: personal challenges, a bit of adventure, and places that are either pristine or hold some mystery. When visiting new locations, he often targets mountain peaks or tall structures to challenge himself. On one occasion, he climbed the Thuận Phước Bridge in Da Nang, standing 80 meters tall. Halfway up, he felt a surge of fear, but his only way to cope was to calm himself with the mantra, “Just keep going and you’ll get there.”
When sharing his adventures, many people have labeled him reckless. “Everyone thinks I’m daring, but the truth is, I always plan and prepare carefully to ensure my safety.” The former radio host from Xonefm is content with his life, dedicating one week each month to planned trips for work, while the rest of the time is spent exploring on his own or traveling with his 5-year-old daughter. “But if the right opportunity comes along and both sides are willing, I’ll go for it. Whatever happens, happens.”

So, he decided to become a videographer, traveling across all 63 provinces of Vietnam to promote the country's tourism. Today, his parents are extremely proud of him and are loyal followers of Nếm TV.
Over the course of nearly four years, Tùng has produced numerous stunning videos highlighting the beauty of Vietnam and its people. 8. Khoa Pug
Khoa Pug has been a YouTuber for about two years. Initially, he created content sharing tips on raising pug dogs, but soon shifted to reviewing luxury hotels and restaurants. His channel then expanded to travel experiences both within Vietnam and internationally.
Khoa Pug isn't afraid to spend big money traveling to luxurious destinations, staying only in five-star hotels or higher. However, he travels with just one cameraman—who also happens to be his girlfriend (although it's unclear whether she's his partner or just a close friend). His videos are shot in a natural, unedited style, often with minimal cuts or edits. Khoa engages with his viewers directly during filming, adding subtitles but no voiceovers. He prefers long, continuous shots with little scene switching, maintaining a raw and authentic feel. Khoa admits he's not great at capturing beautiful landscapes and some of the places he films may not look as stunning as expected.
Khoa Pug showcases his ‘adventurous spirit’ by traveling to destinations suggested by his viewers. In the comment section of his videos, fans recommend places they'd like him to visit, and Khoa selects the most popular suggestions to explore. To date, he’s produced series from Egypt, Dubai, and four East Asian countries: China, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. He plans to continue his travels based on audience requests. While not a professional filmmaker, Khoa focuses on cultural and human experiences, always striving to engage with local cultures despite his limited English skills and lack of knowledge of local languages. In many of his videos, Khoa confidently interacts with locals, even if his foreign language skills are basic. He has also met fellow Vietnamese living abroad and shared memorable experiences with them.
If you're looking for an up-close, realistic view of local food, culture, and people, follow Khoa Pug. Each channel has its unique charm, but Khoa's brings a specific value to viewers. While his channel has faced some controversies, there’s no denying the positive impact this blogger has made. With over 3.06 million subscribers, Khoa has garnered a lot of support even in the midst of the storms. We hope that after these setbacks, Khoa Pug will continue to deliver even better videos.
