1. Thái Togo
If you're a fan of Thai food like me, you'd be surprised to find a place offering authentic Thai dishes at incredibly affordable prices. Thái Togo has two or three floors, with the ground floor serving bubble tea and the upper levels dedicated to Thai cuisine. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and cool, with a nice view of the street. On a rainy day, I braved the wet weather just to get a taste of their food, and it was totally worth it. The Tom Yum hotpot was larger than expected, with a seafood platter that nearly covered the entire table. The seafood was fresh, and the broth was flavorful with a delightful blend of lemongrass, garlic, and a sweet, mild sourness from tamarind. It was perfect for a rainy day, especially while sitting in an air-conditioned room while others around you sipped bubble tea.
Thái Togo also serves Pad Tom, a Thai-style stir-fried pho. It’s a unique and delicious dish with soft, flavorful pho noodles that aren’t overly chewy. The addition of lime and chili powder gives it a perfect balance of sour and spice. I also tried the fried catfish with mango salad and fried rice with shrimp paste. While the fried rice wasn’t quite to my taste due to its strong shrimp paste aroma, the fried catfish with the mango salad was fantastic—crispy catfish paired with tangy, sweet mango salad that really gets your taste buds going.

2. Thái Ship Quán
Thái Ship is a unique Thai restaurant in District 10, where all dishes are expertly prepared by a Thai chef. Despite the small, cozy space, the restaurant offers top-notch food and service that rivals larger establishments. Even though it just opened recently, its reputation for delicious, authentic Thai cuisine has quickly earned it a loyal following among Saigon’s food lovers.
What makes Thái Ship stand out is its extensive menu featuring a variety of traditional Thai salads. Must-try dishes include the classic three-flavor papaya salad, shrimp and pork vermicelli salad, instant noodle salad with Mama noodles, and dried shrimp papaya salad. Their Pad Thai is exceptional, with perfectly chewy noodles stir-fried with fresh squid—truly flavorful. The grilled pork with sticky rice is another favorite, with tender, aromatic grilled meat paired with a tangy dipping sauce, and the rice is cooked with coconut milk, making it sweet and sticky. I’m also a big fan of their Tom Yum soup—perfectly balanced for those who love a tangy and spicy kick. If you’re sensitive to sourness or heat, you may want to adjust accordingly, but it’s undeniably addictive. The staff is courteous and polite, greeting you with a bow from entrance to exit.

The restaurant offers authentic Thai flavors with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The spacious two-story venue is simply decorated, giving it a true Thai feel. The bustling ambiance and the friendly, efficient staff create a pleasant dining experience.
One of the highlights of Chada Thai is its diverse menu, all prepared by skilled Thai chefs. Among the most popular dishes here are the Pad Thai and the mango sticky rice, both perfectly balanced in flavor. The green curry, rich with fragrant herbs, is another dish worth trying. Dishes are served quickly, often just a few minutes after ordering. The mango sticky rice is particularly delightful, with soft rice and sweet, ripe mango. Overall, the pricing is reasonable, and the quality of food makes it a great spot for a Thai culinary experience.

4. Bún Thái Tomyum Hong Kong Style
If you need a takeaway box, just ask, and they will provide one for free. The restaurant also offers condiments like chili paste, pickled garlic, shallots, and spicy chili sauce. In addition to Tomyum noodles, they also serve other noodle dishes like Bun Mam, Bun Bo, and Bun Moc, allowing you to vary your order. Although the place isn’t very large, it’s kept very clean, from the food counter to the kitchen and seating area. Each table has its own trash bin, so you don’t have to worry about where to dispose of waste. The broth is prepared in a traditional Thai style, so be prepared for a spicy kick, along with aromatic lemongrass and herbs that will instantly transport you to Thailand. The flavors—sour, spicy, salty, and sweet—are perfectly balanced, making it hard to resist finishing the entire bowl.

The noodles come with fish balls, squid, shrimp, and clams, and you can even add extra herbs and broth. As a bonus, customers are treated to free iced tea. The friendly and welcoming owner adds to the overall positive experience. The restaurant also offers refreshing drinks like herbal tea, soy milk, soursop juice, and peach tea to complement your meal.

What sets this place apart is the variety in each bowl: shrimp, squid, beef, fish cakes, fried fish cakes, and water spinach—definitely a satisfying meal. Paired with a delicious broth, the Thai seafood noodles here are irresistible, with the addition of plump, bright red shrimp, tender squid slices, sweet and dense mantis shrimp, crispy fried tofu, fresh vegetables, and a sprinkle of herbs and pepper. 7. Bún Thái Delicious
At Bún Thái Delicious, the signature noodle soup comes with a tamarind-based broth that's subtly sour, and you can customize it with additions like satay, lime, fish sauce, or sugar to suit your taste. A typical bowl includes shrimp, squid, fish cake, stuffed chili peppers, and fresh herbs like water spinach and mint. For just 40,000 VND, you'll get a satisfying and flavorful meal. Each bowl is packed with tasty ingredients and served with a light, fragrant broth. Adding a bit of satay, ground chili, and pickled onions brings the perfect balance to the dish. Besides the signature seafood noodles, they also offer delicious wonton noodles and stir-fried noodles, all reasonably priced. On hot days, you can even place your order through a delivery app for quick and easy service.

8. Spicy Thai Noodles Thành Thái
The broth at Spicy Thai Noodles Thành Thái is a little lighter on flavor compared to some, as some patrons feel it could use a bit more salt, sweetness, and spice typical of Thai hot pot broth. However, for just 35,000 VND, you get a bowl full of fresh ingredients and a traditional clear broth that is both clean and satisfying. If you're craving something richer, they also offer Tom Yum soup with coconut milk, which balances the sour and spicy flavors perfectly and pairs excellently with the noodles. Aside from the Thai noodles, they also serve stir-fried beef noodles that are incredibly tasty, with tender noodles and a savory beef sauce, all for just 30,000 VND. They even have a burger on the menu for something different.

9. Thai Tuk Tuk
Thai Tuk Tuk is a well-loved Thai restaurant that has become a favorite destination for many food enthusiasts. The place offers a wide variety of Thai dishes, all seasoned to perfection and reasonably priced. The restaurant is spacious and well-ventilated, making it a pleasant dining experience. While they serve a number of Thai dishes, I particularly enjoy their Thai salads, especially the Baby Octopus Salad and the Fresh Shrimp Salad, both priced at 60k per plate. The dressing is perfectly balanced with a mix of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors, the papaya is crunchy, and the shrimp and squid are fresh. It's definitely worth ordering a plate for yourself.
The Thai noodles at Thai Tuk Tuk are praised for their fresh ingredients. The dish is not only visually appealing but also packed with great flavor. While the salads are delicious, the drinks aren't as impressive, so I would recommend sticking with soft drinks. Other dishes like Thai Noodles, Curry, Pad Thai, and Grilled Meat with Cheese served alongside bamboo rice are also worth trying. You should definitely give them a try!

10. Mango Story Saigon
Mango Story Saigon is a charming place with beautiful decor, offering delicious and affordable food. I ordered the fried rice with pineapple and mango dessert, and the portions were huge—so much so, I couldn't finish! The staff is friendly and provides excellent service, and the owner is just as warm and welcoming. The restaurant is currently running a promotion where you can scan a QR code to get a free serving of shrimp and green papaya, which was quite tasty! It's definitely worth visiting regularly to take advantage of the deals. This is a fantastic spot for both casual meals and larger gatherings with family and friends. Most of the menu features Thai dishes, and it's a great option for Thai food lovers.
If you're eating alone and worried about not finishing a hot pot, you could try the Tom Yum noodles instead—it's similar to the hot pot, just with less meat, no mushrooms, no big shrimp, and no egg. But the broth is just as flavorful. For dessert, I highly recommend the TOAST here. The honey-buttered toast is absolutely delicious, with multiple flavors to choose from, though my personal favorite is the mango variety, which comes with sticky rice, mango ice cream, and fresh mango chunks. It's great value at just 69k. Additionally, the Mango Story dish features sticky rice, mango pudding, mango ice cream, and fresh mango, combining flavors from Thai-style sticky rice with the added elements of pudding and ice cream for a rich experience. The drinks menu at Mango Story Saigon is extensive, but I must say the Coconut Coffee is exceptional—far better than what you'll find at Café Cộng.

11. Thai Express Ho Chi Minh City
If you're a fan of Thai food, you cannot miss this restaurant. Thai Express is currently one of the largest Thai restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City. One thing that impressed me as soon as I entered was that all the staff greet you in Thai, which really sets the mood. The first thing you'll notice is the cleanliness and the beautiful decor. The second thing is the prompt and friendly service; I even asked for a lid to keep my dish warm, and the staff happily provided it.
The green mango salad at Thai Express was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the crunchy texture made it enjoyable—definitely better than the seafood vermicelli salad. The shrimp floss fried rice was fragrant and perfectly seasoned, while the stuffed tofu should be eaten immediately after it's served, as it can get soggy if left for too long. I also tried the stir-fried crab noodles with black pepper sauce, which included a generous amount of mushrooms and ginger. While I’m sure it’s a delicious dish for many, I found the sweetness of the sauce a bit hard to get used to. To wrap up the meal, the hot pot was an excellent choice—it had plenty of seafood, vegetables, and mushrooms, making it a balanced and satisfying option.
