If you drive along the road from D’ran pass or Lien Khuong to Da Lat at the end of October, you will be enchanted by the beauty of the flowers blooming in winter with their splendid yellow and orange colors. That is the wild daisy, or also known as the giant sunflower, one of the most beautiful winter flowers in Da Lat.

The tiny, delicate, yet resilient blossoms, living in the midst of these mountains and forests, suddenly become a new splash of color for Ha Giang's beauty, a charm not found in every mountainous region.
The buckwheat flower festival is held during the flowering season, from early October to late December, in the four highland districts of the province (Dong Van, Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Meo Vac) and the city of Ha Giang.
