The Time of Youth Café is a socially conscious enterprise designed to offer young people who are deaf and mute opportunities to experience work, develop professional skills, and save for future independence. The project was founded by Võ Thành Luân, originally from Bảo Lộc, Lam Dong. Driven by the desire to create happiness both for himself and others, Luân left his studies abroad in the Philippines and returned to Da Lat to launch this initiative with other like-minded youth.
At The Time of Youth Café, there is no distinction between owners and workers; whether serving customers or baking, everyone is treated equally. The staff follows a set schedule, and they refer to one another as the “hearing” and “deaf.” In addition to tea and snacks, the café offers handmade products such as essential oils made from Da Lat plants, soaps, handcrafted jewelry, fabric bags, and succulents—all created by the deaf community. The café’s pleasant aroma, created by these handmade goods, fills the air as you enter.
