3. The Chicken Church
Designed in Romanesque architectural style, both the layout and elevation are symmetrically crafted in a classic European manner. At the top of the cross, a rooster statue is positioned 27 meters above the ground, mounted on a bearing axis to indicate wind direction. The cathedral’s upper part is adorned with 70 stained glass windows, a striking feature of medieval European architecture.
The interior of the church is divided into three sections: a large central aisle with two smaller side aisles. The building’s cross-section features an arch design with a series of vaulted arches. The columns inside the church are topped with classical column capitals, blending classical and spontaneous styles. The church is open 24/7 with no entry fee. Additionally, you can find woolen items like socks, gloves, boots, and hats, as well as a variety of flowers, ranging from everyday blooms to premium flowers, all available for purchase in pots like cacti, water lilies, orchids, gladioluses, and dahlias.
When visiting Da Lat Market, tourists can choose from a wide array of unique souvenirs to bring back for friends and family. Some of the most popular items include fresh, juicy strawberries, sweet crispy persimmons, nutrient-rich avocados, dried persimmons, strawberry concentrate, strawberry jam, chewy sweet potatoes, wine, and traditional wine pots.
During the day, Da Lat Market operates until about 6:00–7:00 PM. After that, the stalls gradually close, and vendors head home to rest. At this time, the night market stalls begin to open and continue operating until late at night, often staying open until the last customers leave. Da Lat Night Market, also known as Âm Phủ Market, is located behind the main Da Lat Market in the city center. This bustling night market is a must-visit for tourists in Da Lat. It begins around 7:00 or 8:00 PM and operates until 3:00 or 4:00 AM. It's a place where people from all walks of life gather, from late-night motorbike taxi drivers to cleaners, singers, musicians, and students seeking romance, as well as tourists who want to experience Da Lat's night flavors.
The market is known for its hot, freshly prepared street food. When you approach, the cold air turns warm with the aroma of grilled food, and the warmth from the charcoal fires is inviting. Some popular dishes include boiled corn, roasted sweet potatoes, grilled squid, chicken wings, grilled chicken legs, crispy rice paper with quail eggs, hot soy milk, fresh crab soup, and Da Lat fish noodle soup.
Besides the food, Da Lat Night Market offers a variety of affordable and stylish clothing options, making it a great place to shop. You can find woolen sweaters, leather jackets, woolen hats, gloves, sleepwear, scarves, and more, all at reasonable prices. There are also local specialties such as jams, syrups, wine, and strawberry honey that make excellent souvenirs.


7. Sunflower Fields
There is no time of year when Da Lat, the city of a thousand flowers, lacks the vibrant colors of blooming flowers. This city has become a favorite destination for those who appreciate the beauty of nature. In the cooler months, especially towards the end of the year, you can witness the breathtaking sight of sunflower fields stretching across the hills, their golden hues radiating with the energy of the sun.
To visit the sunflower fields, head from Da Lat's city center towards Vạn Thành Flower Village, descending the Tà Nung Pass. Along the way, you'll see many small sunflower gardens. Continue for another 5 kilometers until you reach the Mê Linh coffee shop, located across from the largest sunflower field. If you continue about 100 meters, you will find a second sunflower field on your left. The best time to capture beautiful moments with the sunflowers is in the morning, from 7 to 8 AM, or in the late afternoon, from 3 to 5 PM.
The most beautiful time to visit the sunflower fields is during the last three months of the year, from October to December. Some sources suggest that you might also see sunflowers in April and May, but they are not as full or vibrant as during the end-of-year bloom, so be sure to plan your visit accordingly for the best experience.


8. Hydrangea Flower Fields
Hydrangeas are one of the most famous flowers of Da Lat, grown extensively throughout the city and its outskirts. Initially, these fields were simply places where locals cultivated the flowers, but over time, they have become popular tourist destinations. The delicate petals of the hydrangea cluster tightly together in spherical shapes, symbolizing sincerity, gratitude, and heartfelt emotions.
The Hydrangea fields in Lạc Dương district have become a major attraction in Da Lat, drawing crowds of visitors. Located along the provincial road connecting Da Lat to Nha Trang, the fields span over 2 hectares, nestled beneath a canopy of lush pine trees. To reach the fields, head straight along National Route 20 (Trần Hưng Đạo Street), turn onto Trần Quý Cáp Street, then right onto Phan Chu Trinh Street, and continue towards Than Thở Lake.
