1. Reunification Palace
Reunification Palace was officially recognized as a national cultural heritage site by the Minister of Culture in Decision No. 77A/VHQĐ on June 25, 1976.
On August 12, 2009, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed Decision No. 1272/QĐ-TTg to classify the Reunification Palace as one of the first 10 special national historical sites of the country.
This is the place where the Vietnamese flag was hoisted on the roof of the palace, marking the end of 30 years of war and the heroic struggle of the Vietnamese people. Located on Nam Kì Khởi Nghĩa Street in District 1, the Reunification Palace is now a popular tourist attraction drawing both local and international visitors. It also serves as a venue for meetings and receptions for central and local leaders.
The Reunification Palace houses numerous rooms used for meetings, receptions, rest areas, entertainment, and even a cinema for high-ranking officials from Vietnam and abroad. The palace also displays historic vehicles like jeeps, tanks, and aircraft linked to the liberation of South Vietnam in 1975. There are also exhibitions related to the Paris Peace Accords, the Hồ Chí Minh Campaign, and the Hồ Chí Minh Trail, along with photo displays and other historical materials.

2. Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica
Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica (officially known as the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary) is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City. It is one of the most iconic architectural landmarks in Saigon, drawing tourists from both within Vietnam and abroad, making it a quintessential part of Vietnamese tourism.
Built by the French 135 years ago, the cathedral was originally intended as a place of worship for the Catholic soldiers of the colonial army. The impressive exterior of the church features two towering bell towers, each crowned with a cross. In front of the church lies a park with a statue of the Virgin Mary at its center.
Today, the cathedral is not only a place of prayer but also a popular tourist attraction, admired for its grandeur, artistic design, and significant historical value. It is especially vibrant during Christmas, when numerous visitors come to admire its festive decorations.
