1. Po Nagar Cham Towers
Po Ina Nagar is the goddess created from the sky's clouds and sea foam, who shaped the earth, produced valuable woods, trees, and rice. She had 97 husbands, with Po Yan Amo being the most powerful and revered. Po Ina Nagar also had 38 daughters, three of whom were chosen as protectors of the land and are still worshipped by the Cham people to this day.
Po Nagar Towers is a Cham Hindu temple complex located atop a small hill about 10 to 12 meters above sea level, just 2 km north of the city center. While the term Po Nagar refers to the entire temple site, it specifically refers to the largest tower on the premises. This temple was constructed during the height of Hinduism, and the goddess is depicted as Uma, the wife of Shiva.


2. Ba Ho Waterfall
Ba Ho Waterfall is located in Ninh Hoa district, Khanh Hoa, about 30km from Nha Trang. This stunning waterfall is renowned for its untouched natural beauty, offering an immersive experience of mountain streams and lush landscapes. The Stone Church, also known as the Cathedral of Christ the King, is a popular attraction for both local and international visitors. Yang Bay Waterfall is located about 45 km from Nha Trang, standing 100 meters above sea level. Originating from the peak of Gia Kang, the waterfall is famous for its unique feature: two separate streams, one hot and one cold. 9. Hon Chong - Hon Vo

10. Nha Phu Lagoon
In the past, Nha Phu Lagoon was known as Nhá Phú, named by the ancient Cham people, the first inhabitants of this land. The name means a bountiful area for fish and shrimp. Later, as the Kinh people settled and developed the area, they began referring to it as Nha Phu.
Nha Phu Lagoon is located 12 km north of Nha Trang. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a memorable experience in this coastal paradise. Famous nearby tourist islands include Hon Lao (Monkey Island), Hon Thi Island, and the Hoa Lan Waterfall Tourism Complex.
At Nha Phu Lagoon, you’ll spot rows of stakes along the water’s surface, or floating plastic containers connected together. These are lobster traps, set up to catch young lobsters. Lobsters, mainly sourced from the wild, are known for their high nutritional value, and this is one of the reasons why lobster prices are so high. Fishing for lobster larvae is a common and important activity for the locals in this area.


11. Suoi Tien
Suoi Tien is a beautiful stream surrounded by enchanting landscapes and intriguing legends. A natural dam formed by large and small rocks blocking the stream has over the years created a tranquil pool called the Tien Pond. According to legend, this is where celestial maidens would often come to rest and bathe. The water in the pond is so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom, where pristine white sand stretches across the floor. Surrounding the pond are scattered rocks in a variety of shapes and colors. As you follow the stream upstream, you’ll feel as though you’re entering a mythical realm, with the crystal-clear water sparkling in the sunlight.
This place also holds the footprint of a giant, as legend tells that he once slipped while admiring the maidens bathing. In his fall, his foot pressed deep into the rock, leaving behind an imprint, and his hand struck the stone with such force that it shattered into pieces, some of which were scattered all the way to the sea, giving rise to the famous Chon Island and Vow Island in Nha Trang. On a large, flat stone, you can still see the marks of the characters 'Dien' and 'Khau', and even some ancient board games etched into the rock. The further you go upstream, the more you’ll discover the wild beauty of Suoi Tien, with small waterfalls dropping just 1-2 meters every 20 meters, each one forming a small pond of around 30-40 square meters. Surrounding the area are several caves, known as the Tien Caves, where visitors can relax among ancient trees, breathe in the scent of wildflowers, and truly connect with nature’s serene offerings.


12. Nha Trang Oceanography Institute
The Nha Trang Oceanography Institute is one of Vietnam's earliest scientific research institutions, known as the largest marine research and specimen preservation facility in Southeast Asia. Visitors can explore over 20,000 samples of more than 4,000 different species of marine and freshwater organisms, collected over many years. Recently, the institute was recognized as one of the top 10 most visited tourist destinations in 2005. The institute is also planning to launch a high-tech marine species breeding center to support Vietnam's maritime economy development.
The Marine Life Museum and Oceanography Museum offer fascinating experiences and surprises. The Marine Life Museum displays thousands of specimens, with over 20,000 samples representing 4,000 species of sea creatures. It also features a collection of freshwater species gathered from the Gulf of Thailand, the East Sea, and Cambodia. The Oceanography Museum is particularly famous for its massive exhibits, including the skeleton of a giant whale, measuring 26 meters in length and 3 meters in height, along with many other large specimens. While you might have seen these creatures on TV or online, nothing compares to seeing them up close in person.


13. Dai Lanh Beach
Located 80 km from Nha Trang city, Dai Lanh Beach offers a vast, turquoise expanse, shimmering under the sunlight. This beach is formed by fine, pure white sand and a gentle slope, with crystal-clear water that reveals the seabed beneath. Lining the beach are dense rows of casuarina trees, creating a natural, serene landscape. Since ancient times, Dai Lanh has been recognized as one of Vietnam's beautiful landmarks. Impressed by its enchanting beauty, the Nguyen Dynasty king had the name Dai Lanh engraved on one of the nine bronze pillars displayed at the Thế Miếu altar.
Dai Lanh has always been considered an ideal tourist spot, thanks to its location right next to National Highway 1A, with a nearby railway station along the North-South line. However, today the area is less developed, featuring only a few thatched huts and small eateries, with a partially built, abandoned structure. The natural beauty of Dai Lanh Beach remains its greatest asset, with a long stretch of white sand, a gently sloping shore perfect for swimming, and clear, azure waters. An ever-flowing freshwater stream merges into the sea, ensuring a constant water supply throughout the year.
Dai Lanh Beach is a pristine destination, boasting fine white sand, crystal-clear waters, and a gentle slope that allows visitors to swim far out into the sea. The beach is complemented by a freshwater stream that runs into the ocean, never drying up. From Dai Lanh, visitors can take a boat trip to visit the fishing village in Khai Luong, explore the Dam Mon peninsula—Vietnam's easternmost point—or visit Vung Ro Port, a famous site that once served as a secret harbor for the “unmarked ships” transporting weapons and supplies from the North to the South during the Vietnam War.


14. Hon Mun Island
Hon Mun Island is a must-visit destination when traveling to Nha Trang. Located about 10 km southeast of Nha Trang Bay, this stunning island got its name from the sharp, towering black rocks that resemble ebony, and the caves formed by these rocky outcrops.
Visitors to Hon Mun Island will be amazed by the black rocks and the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island. The vibrant natural beauty makes it an ideal place for a leisurely walk, offering plenty of opportunities for photographs to capture memories of your Nha Trang island adventure. Hon Mun is Vietnam's first marine reserve, dedicated to preserving rare marine species, including various types of fish and coral. Hon Mun covers an area of 160 km2, with 122 km2 of sea and 38 km2 of land. The island’s black stone caves are home to swiftlets, which nest there every year. The island boasts a rich marine ecosystem and spectacular coral reefs.
