8. Olive Oil
Prepare: olive oil, water
Clean the bitten area with water and apply a small amount of olive oil to it. Repeat several times a day for quick effectiveness. Olive oil is used to reduce irritation and skin inflammation due to its richness in vitamin E and antioxidant properties that help alleviate insect bite itchiness.
Alternatively, you can use a mixture with equal parts of olive oil and honey. Apply this mixture to the bitten areas a few times a day until the bite heals completely. Or, you can also combine a few drops of tea tree oil with a tablespoon of olive oil, then apply it to the bitten areas. Repeat 2 - 3 times a day.
9. Tea Bags
Prepare: some tea bags, hot water
Soak the tea bags in hot water, then filter out excess moisture from the tea bags. Let it cool slightly, then apply warm tea bags to the bitten areas. Keep the tea bag on the bite until it cools. Repeat this process several times a day for the best results.
Tea in small bags helps reduce the symptoms of insect bites and itching. Clearly, using warm bags may initially cause a warm sensation, but it will gradually cool down and heal your wound.

Infused with cooling menthol, it alleviates the discomfort on the skin, even reducing the risk of developing unsightly bumps.
11. Crystal Salt
Ingredients: crystal salt, water
Take 1 tablespoon of salt and add a bit of water, then apply to the bitten area to reduce swelling and itching. Repeat this process twice a day for immediate relief. Saltwater helps reduce inflammation and itchiness. This solution can also be used to cleanse insect bite wounds.
12. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera possesses excellent anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain. Its rich vitamin E content helps keep the skin moisturized, thereby reducing itching. Apply aloe vera gel to the bitten areas. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Use this remedy 2 or 3 times a day. Another option is to mix a few drops of peppermint oil and olive oil into ½ cup of fresh aloe vera gel. Apply this mixture to the bitten area. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Repeat 2 or 3 times a day.
13. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar possesses antiseptic and anti-itch properties, helping to alleviate itching as well as inflammation and swelling.
- Add 2 cups of raw apple cider vinegar to warm bathwater. Soak in this water for 15 minutes. After gently patting your skin dry, apply a light moisturizing cream to prevent dryness. Do this once or twice a day.
- For localized itching, apply the ingredient, apple cider vinegar, directly to the affected areas with a cotton ball. Wait for 30 minutes, then rinse with cool water. Use this remedy once or twice a day for a few days.
14. Indian Frankincense
