Quay House – the smallest house in the UK – is a popular tourist attraction in Conwy, North Wales. Its incredibly small size earned it a place in the Guinness World Records as the 'smallest house in the UK'. Nowadays, Quay House attracts visitors with its unbelievable design. However, in June 2006, the number of tourists visiting dropped by 50% due to nearby road construction. Quay House consists of two small rooms, and only four people can visit at a time. Tourists from all over the world come here daily, not only to see the house but also to try on traditional Welsh costumes. Inside, you’ll find basic necessities such as a bed, cupboard, stove, kettle, artwork, and coat hooks, despite the cramped space. However, personal hygiene and bathing take place outside the house. Initially, there were plans to demolish Quay House because it was considered too small for living, but local opposition saved it, and it remains a fascinating landmark that attracts thousands of tourists each year.
