2. Red Sand Dunes
Red Sand Dunes - Mui Ne is located on the way to Hon Rom Island. The charming name “Red Sand Dunes” comes from the unique reddish hue of the sand, unlike the usual white or yellow sands that most people expect. Though the dunes are vast, they aren’t very tall, and one dune smoothly transitions into another, creating a rolling landscape. 3. Ong Hoang Tower
Ong Hoang Tower is a historic site located on one of the five scenic hills in Phu Hai Ward, Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan. Originally a villa built by Ferdinand d'Orléans, Duke of Montpensier, the grandson of King Louis-Philippe I of France. He spent 82,000 Indochinese piastres on its construction. Over time, the villa has been destroyed multiple times and is now a mere ruin. It was owned by various French proprietors until it was later purchased by King Bao Dai. After the French occupation, it was abandoned and left to decay. The site is also associated with the famous poet Han Mac Tu, who is said to have written some of his most beloved poems here, often in the company of his muse, Mong Cam.

Suoi Tien Mui Ne offers a surreal beauty, resembling a fairyland, which is why it has become a highlight on many Mui Ne tour itineraries. Though it's called a stream, Suoi Tien is actually a small watercourse near Hon Rom in Phu Hai Ward, Phan Thiet. To fully experience this stunning spot, visitors can walk about 2 kilometers from Vo Nguyen Giap Street (the stream's start) to Huynh Thuc Khang Street (its end).

The beauty of nature is breathtaking, and no trip to Binh Thuan is complete without visiting this beach.
Bai Rang is located about 15 kilometers northeast of Phan Thiet City. The locals often refer to it simply as Rang or Bai Rang, while tourists typically call it Rang Beach. The beach is known for its coral reefs, some of which are fossilized, and submerged rocks. However, what makes Bai Rang unique is that, amidst these natural formations, there are stunning stretches of golden sandy beaches. This is why so many visitors come here to swim and relax in the tranquil surroundings.
Many tourists enjoy strolling along the beach, away from the resorts, to take in the scenery. At dawn, small fishing boats, often round bamboo baskets, come ashore, bringing in fresh catches of fish, squid, and crabs. The fishermen work together, rotating the baskets and dragging them onto the sand. Some visitors even pitch in to help, making for a fun and engaging experience.

6. Bau Trang
Located about 65 km northeast of Phan Thiet, Bau Trang is situated in Hong Lam village, Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district. Visitors can reach Bau Trang by two routes. From Hon Rom, one can take a Jeep ride along the road to Mui Ne, passing through Mui Ne market and Red Hill, then follow the beach road for about an hour to reach Bau Trang. Alternatively, you can take National Route 1A from Phan Thiet to Luong Son, then turn right at the junction and travel for 18 km through barren hills and coconut forests to arrive at the destination.
When you arrive, you'll be mesmerized by a landscape that feels like a painting. Amidst the blazing sun, the sand dunes emerge in an ethereal, dream-like manner. The vast, sweeping dunes stretch endlessly in all directions. The sand here was once golden but has gradually turned into a pure white color. You will be amazed when you come across a sparkling freshwater lake under the sun's rays. The stunning lotus lake, surrounded by endless sand dunes, is a sight to behold. From the hilltop, the serene lake, adorned with vibrant pink lotus flowers, presents a picturesque and lively scene.
The cool, fresh water and the soothing green hue of the lake offer a refreshing respite from the scorching heat of this desert-like land. The gentle breeze through the rows of casuarina trees, combined with the sound of rippling water, creates a magical, harmonious melody. The sand dunes have been part of Bau Trang for thousands of years. The dunes provide an endless supply of sand, while Bau Trang offers a source of fresh, cool water. The island exudes a rugged, pristine charm and has become an appealing spot for those seeking natural, unspoiled beaches. Recently, many young travelers are looking for undiscovered beaches across Vietnam, and Phu Quy fits that description perfectly. There’s nothing quite like the sunset here. As the day fades, the beach turns a fiery red, transitioning into deep crimson hues as the sun sinks below the horizon. The scene is so vivid and lifelike that it feels almost surreal. Phu Quy is a peaceful retreat with few visitors, which makes it perfect for a swim or dive without the worry of crowded beaches.
Although Phu Quy has only become more widely known in the past few years, its remote location means it still receives relatively few tourists. The island remains a favorite among backpackers, and it’s a place where you can experience true tranquility. 9. Ke Ga Cape
Ke Ga Cape is located in Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province. If you’re an adventure lover, the motorbike ride to this destination is truly exhilarating. The journey is filled with sunshine and sea breeze, with the ocean on one side and mountains, forests of cashews, and longan trees on the other. From Ho Chi Minh City, you can take two routes to reach Ke Ga Cape: one is via National Route 1A, then turn onto Provincial Road 712 (Sông Phan toll station) and head towards Ba Ria City, then take National Route 55 and turn onto Provincial Road 719. Along the way, you can stop by several interesting places, such as Thay Thim Temple, Binh Chau Hot Springs, and Ta Cu Mountain Tourist Area. Along the route, you’ll also be treated to beautiful landscapes, including vast sand dunes and long stretches of dragon fruit orchards under the scorching sun.
Arriving at Ke Ga Cape, you’ll be mesmerized by the grandeur of nature. The landscape here constantly changes, from lush forests to rows of green, orderly dragon fruit fields along the hillside, then to mountains covered in white sand. Ke Ga’s beach is peaceful, with a cool breeze and the salty scent of the sea. The wild green pineapple fields, the deep blue sea, and the sky blend harmoniously. Scattered across this natural palette are fluffy white clouds, fine white sand, and sparkling granite rocks, all adding to the beauty of this coastal area.

10. Mui Ne Fishing Village
Tucked peacefully along Huynh Thuc Khang Street, surrounded by towering coconut trees typical of Phan Thiet’s coastal charm, the Mui Ne fishing village holds an irresistible allure from dawn until the sun sets. The Mui Ne Fishing Village stretches along a coastal road in Mui Ne ward, with over a kilometer of shoreline. The beach here enjoys calm, gentle waves year-round, making it an ideal shelter for boats. If you visit early in the morning, you’ll witness the bustling scene of local fishermen returning from their late-night voyages.
At Mui Ne Fishing Village, you can experience the life and trade of the fishermen. You can also choose from a variety of fresh seafood, such as squid, fish, shrimp, crab, and snails, which you can either take home to cook or have prepared right there for you at incredibly affordable prices. The seafood is exceptionally fresh. If you have time to wander deeper into the village, you can learn about the meticulous process of drying fish, squid, and crafting fish sauce. Additionally, the friendly villagers will greet you with fresh, sweet coconuts, just as warm as their welcoming smiles and hospitality.

11. Yen Cape
Yen Cape is a rugged, isolated rock promontory standing about 30 meters above sea level. You can set up camp right on the rocks to fully immerse yourself in nature. Surrounded by vast skies and with the ocean crashing against the large rocks below, the view here is breathtaking, truly awe-inspiring. Camping overnight at Yen Cape gives you the perfect opportunity to connect with nature in its purest form. The beach is serene and almost empty, offering you the freedom to dip into the crystal-clear waters, but note that there are no fresh-water showers available here.
On a clear, moonlit night with the sea calm, there’s nothing better than casting a line from the rocky shore, fishing, and grilling your catch right there. If you're lucky, you might catch a leatherjacket fish, which only inhabits coral reefs. Once the outer layer is charred, the tender, sweet meat is absolutely delicious. The next morning, nothing compares to waking up in your tent, opening the flap to witness the first golden rays of sunlight. In the distance, the sun rises from the ocean, casting a golden glow over Yen Cape, making it look even more magical.

12. Cu Lao Cau
Cu Lao Cau is located in Phuoc The Commune, Tuy Phong District, and resembles a giant battleship surrounded by thousands of uniquely shaped and colored rocks. This uninhabited island is approximately 10 kilometers from the nearest land, with a boat ride taking around 1.5 hours. The island features thousands of rocks with strange shapes and vibrant colors, interspersed with lush green grass. It's a designated marine life conservation area and a fantastic eco-tourism destination.
Viewed from the mainland, Cu Lao Cau appears like a ship anchored in the sea, its bow facing east. The island is about 7 nautical miles from the mainland. On calm days, the boat ride takes around 40 minutes, but during rough seas, it can take up to 75 minutes. The best time to visit is from April to August, when the weather is calm, and the southeast winds make the sea tranquil. From the middle of the lunar eighth month to the end of the lunar year, the island experiences rough seas, with strong waves and gusty winds, making travel challenging. However, no matter the season, the island is always sun-drenched and windy. As the saying goes, 'Winds like Phan, sun like Rang.'
The island's winds are cooler than expected, and the sea is a deep, enticing blue. There is little vegetation on the island due to the low rainfall, but a few pine trees and wild grasses are scattered around. Despite over six months without rain, the vegetation thrives and blooms. The island is home to two species of reptiles, sand lizards and snakes, including some venomous ones. Although the number of snakes has decreased, it's wise to wear shoes and long pants when exploring the island, especially at night. Snakes are generally non-aggressive unless accidentally stepped on or provoked.

13. Po Sah Inư Tower
Po Sah Inư Tower is a complex of ancient Cham temple ruins from the former Champa Kingdom. Located on Ba Nai Hill in Phu Hai Ward, Phan Thiet City, this site is regarded as one of the oldest Cham architectural structures. The towers here showcase the ancient Hoa Lai architectural style, which is a pure Cham design. Though small in size, these towers hold great historical and cultural significance.
Originally dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, the towers later became a site to honor Princess Po Sah Inư, a woman of great virtue and skill from the Champa dynasty. Over time, the towers fell into disrepair, and many relics were discovered. In 1991, it was recognized as a national cultural heritage site. Visiting the Po Sah Inư Towers allows visitors to admire the intricate and unique architecture of the towers, which are adorned with Cham-style carvings. The place exudes a sense of mystery and grandeur. Situated on Ba Nai Hill, the highest point is the Ông Hoàng Tower, famously referenced in the poetry of Hàn Mặc Tử.

14. Ta Cu Mountain
Ta Cu Mountain stands tall at 649 meters, located along National Highway 1A, in Thuan Nam Town, Ham Thuan Nam District. It is a popular natural attraction and a hiking spot for many visitors to Binh Thuan Province. The mountain offers a tranquil escape from the hustle of everyday life, providing a peaceful retreat for travelers. Nestled deep within the forest is a serene pagoda, accompanied by a crystal-clear stream flowing beside it.
The scenery here is like a poetic landscape, with the pagoda housing a statue of the Buddha entering Nirvana, a true marvel of architectural artistry. To reach the summit of the mountain, you’ll need to navigate a steep 45-degree incline, which takes about two hours of hiking. Alternatively, you can take the cable car to enjoy the scenic views from above. At 563 meters, just below the peak, you’ll find two pagodas: the Upper Pagoda (Linh Son Truong Tho) and the Lower Pagoda (Long Doan), both accessible via a stone staircase and surrounded by towering spires.

15. Co Thach Pagoda
Co Thach Pagoda (also known as the Stone Pagoda or Cave Pagoda) is located in Binh Thạnh Commune, Tuy Phong District (Binh Thuan), nestled near Co Thach Beach. The pagoda is over 100 years old and was recognized as a national scenic site in 1993. Initially a small shrine, it has been expanded and renovated over the years, becoming a popular pilgrimage destination. The name 'Cave Pagoda' comes from its location, tucked between large rock formations, with caves on either side. Co Thach Pagoda stands as a symbol of the religious devotion, cultural beliefs, and the ancient, mysterious architecture of the people of Binh Thuan.
The pagoda complex consists of several interconnected shrines, halls, and caves, spanning over 4 hectares of natural rocky hillside. The main hall sits on a flat, spacious area, backed by large stone slabs. Many shrines and temples are built within or around massive rocks, or inside natural caves. Each cave is dedicated to a Buddha, Bodhisattva, or a deceased monk. The walls surrounding the shrines feature murals depicting the life of the Buddha and various Bodhisattvas. On a small rocky outcrop near the shore stands a statue of Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin). There is also a peak called Linh Thu Mountain, named after a sacred peak from Buddhist tradition.
