1. Poem: WITHERED BUTTERFLY WINGS - Trương Túy Anh
WITHERED BUTTERFLY WINGS
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
He was tall and lanky
Sitting at the far end of the table
Often acting mischievously
Drawing silly sketches to tease
One day, he came out to play
Whispered to me softly
Agreed to meet at the alley entrance
To visit his hometown together
The moonlit night was bright
Sitting by the rice fields
My heart danced
Feeling somewhat uneasy
Suddenly, he whispered
We'll be apart tomorrow
Will THEY miss us?
Is the night full of stars?
Just talking dreamily
Hesitatingly holding hands
Hearing mom's scolding
Come home, my child...
Graduation day
The red phoenix in the garden
Sad cicadas chirping
Hearing someone sobbing
Choking on farewell words
He handed me a card
Accompanied by a pressed butterfly
Its wings still dry
I returned to the capital
No longer seeing him around
The butterfly's wings under the sun
Still in my heart

2. Poem: MY HOMELAND - Trương Túy Anh
MY HOMELAND
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
The vast expanse of my homeland's fields
Where storks soar freely in all directions upon returning
My younger self runs along the riverbank
Flying kites, drunk with the wind's embrace
Below the river lie the boats
Loaded with rice, echoing joyous chants
The golden rice stands straight and vast
Coconut palms cast shadows over the village roads I tread
Childhood memories etched in my mind
Climbing trees, catching fish in the neighborhood ponds
Our home garden bearing ripe red fruits
Rambutans, jackfruits, kissed by the wind
The evening sun sets, painting the horizon red
A village girl waits by the coconut grove
The rustling wind sways back and forth
Secretly making promises, always intoxicated
Everyone's heart holds a piece of their homeland
Buried deep, longing to return and reminisce
An aging mother, her hair touched by dew
The sour soup still lingers, forever lingering in my mind...

3. Poem: WHISPERS OF SPRING - Trương Túy Anh
WHISPERS OF SPRING
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
Spring whispers softly at the doorstep
Can you feel the arrival of the new year?
A hundred flowers blooming in competition
Excitement fills the heart
Spring whispers gently in the ear
Look there...the sky is so clear
Sparrows chirping, joyful tunes
The golden sunbeam is so beautiful
Spring hums a melodious tune
After many days of winter anticipation
Now the pale buds and new shoots emerge
Eyes gaze at the soaring birds
Spring blushes, shy and timid
HAVE THEY returned yet, my love?
The gentle, comforting shoulder
Awaits the yearning heart
Life's scenes are so real
Making our hearts ache
Rice is not enough, warmth lacking
Wandering through life's realm
Welcome the new Spring, so wonderful
Leave behind the old year's troubles
The worries and sorrows
Bring happiness to everyone

4. Poem: OH, MY LOVE, WINTER ARRIVES - Trương Túy Anh
OH, MY LOVE, WINTER ARRIVES
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
Do you hear, my love, winter arrives
Upon every street corner
The leaves fall with the wind
Leaving the trees bare
Do you hear the call
The northern wind brushes winter
Numbing the depths of the heart
Vaguely, I await you
Winter arrives, oh my love
Mist blankets every path
Quietly in the darkness
A kiss exchanged, intoxicated
I yearn for your shoulder
Nestled in the warmth
My heart entrusted
To beat in unison with yours
Oh my love, as winter arrives
Seeds are nurtured
To blossom in spring
Happiness returns to us
11/2/2018.

5. Poem: LETTER FROM A SOLDIER - Trương Túy Anh
LETTER FROM A SOLDIER
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
At night, the Central Highlands sing
The rustle of falling forest leaves
I hastily write a poem
To send to you while on duty
Remembering the hometown during harvest
The golden rice heavy with grains
We sit by the riverbank
Secretly amidst the scent of rice
Then I depart for my duty
To fulfill my civic responsibilities
One day, we will reunite
Happiness will overflow
Some nights I stay awake
Gazing at the sparkling stars
Hearing the rooster crow at dawn
Suddenly feeling stirred
Longing for your mysterious black eyes
Tears welling up in the corner of my eyes
The moment of farewell, full of reluctance
Hastily embracing in my arms
But oh my dear, why be sad
I'm with my fellow soldiers
Like brothers and sisters
In a bond of love
Oh my dear, do not underestimate
The cold wind nipping at your shoulders
Remember to wear warmer clothes
And wait for my return
P/s Dedicated to the youth serving in the People's Volunteer Militia

6. Poem: REMEMBERING SOUTHERN SCHOOL DAYS - Trương Túy Anh
REMEMBERING SOUTHERN SCHOOL DAYS
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
I gaze at the old phoenix tree by the gate
Remembering Hai Phong, the red city I adore
The phoenix branches sway gracefully under the afternoon sun
Imprinted with memories of childhood days
With beloved teachers and friends by my side
When the country was divided into two
We eagerly awaited joyful reunions
The land of Hai Phong nurtured us well
Children growing up as time passes
The Southern School, where I once studied
Witnessing countless kindness, hardships, and struggles
Of teachers, the Party, and the people's hearts
Cold winter nights, icy winds chilling our feet
Sobs and tears wetting our pillows
The gentle caregiver in the dark night
Tucks me in, lulls me to sleep, calling dreams...
Through autumn, winter, spring, the phoenix blooms, heralding summer
With us are dedicated teachers
Teaching us with heartfelt love
Sowing the seeds of revolution for the South
Fifty-four years have passed, I yearn
The old school no longer stands in Hai Phong
In my heart, I always remember with longing
To return and revisit the place of the past
P/s: HSMN School is where the children of officials gather or stay to fight. The policy of the Nationalist Party and Uncle Ho is to train and select personnel to take over the South after liberation

7. Poem: WARM NOVEMBER - Trương Túy Anh
WARM NOVEMBER
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
November, white myna daisies bloom
Fall holds back, reluctant to depart
Gazing at golden cabbages along the dyke
Fall wants to hold back time, slow its retreat
North winds sweep, red leaves fall
Rustling dry leaves, bare trees stand
You shiver, alone, fighting loneliness
Eyes weary, longing for you amidst the mist
To escape the cold, you take me to the peninsula
November arrives, cold winds linger
Your hair softly drapes over bamboo groves
You tell me tales of our childhood
White along the riverbank, morning glory blooms
You row the boat to harvest early dreams
Following the river, catching perch, carp
Fatty, sweet meat for sour soup with morning glory
A pot of freshly cooked rice bubbles on the stove
Hearing the hoe call 'hoe hoe' outside the porch
Our shadows imprinted on the slanted wall
Truly warm when Winter arrives, don't you think?
We whisper sweet nothings, just us two
This November is beautiful, my love
Admiring the myna daisies, perfect
Our hearts beat in sync, harmonizing breaths
This Winter is so magically enchanting
Chilling winds, faint sunlight all around
Driving away the biting cold, your heart lonely
You and I, complete in our love.

8. Poem: FIRST LOVE - Trương Túy Anh
FIRST LOVE
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
The city gleams with lights shining bright
No sight of the beloved by the shore
Your fragrant hair, lingering scent of grapefruit
In the breeze, our love's whispered promises
My heart tightens with longing on our date
Hands entwined, exchanging first love completely
You blush, eyes of a dove blinking
Our love, beautiful yet woven with longing
Summer has passed, autumn arrives like a debt
Leaves fall, flowers don't bloom, wither away
You and I, that love has dissolved
But the yearning still spreads in my heart
This evening, seeing you seems strange
In my heart, as if I've met my first love
My dear, wherever you are
You'll always be my first love, I remember...

9. Poem: BE STILL, MY LOVE - Trương Túy Anh
BE STILL, MY LOVE .
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
This evening, the northern wind blows
Misty fog blankets, weighing heavily on my heart
Looking towards the North, I await
At the border, where love awaits
You walk on every path
Border patrols, thick with salty mist
The forest leaves rustle underfoot
Stepping on rocks covered in moss
I remember, you're selflessly devoted
Being a soldier's wife, sacrifice is inevitable
Many nights I stay awake alone
Longing to follow the beautiful moonlight to visit you
This month, the rice fields turn golden
After harvesting, I'll lead the piglets out
Without you, I'm tired from longing
I always try to ease the burden for our parents
Replacing you to care for our aging parents
Fulfilling our filial duty, keeping our home warm and cozy
Midnight, the moon falls on the doorstep
Finishing knitting the shirt, I send it to you
My love, a blazing fire
Warming you through the passing years.

10. Poem: MY SEPTEMBER - Trương Túy Anh
MY SEPTEMBER .
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
My mother gave birth to me in mid-September, autumn's embrace
Bombs, fires, and smoke obscured the homeland
My father wielded his pen in all directions
Leaving behind his young wife and children
Thirty years of waiting and longing
For joyful reunions and dreams of victory
My mother, upon hearing the news, silently passed away
My father never returned, leaving silently...
My mother and I waited still in our hometown
She strived to reunite with my father across the seas
Tears flowed as the ocean waves
Singing lullabies to my father in eternal autumn
Today, the country stands free from the shadows of enemies
Amidst the autumn sun, a new school year begins
Grandma walks alongside me, joyously inviting
A vibrant welcome to the dreamed-of new September
This September, seventy-three years old, yet unsuspecting
Living happily with the spirit of eternal youth
Gratefully following in my father's footsteps
Forty years old, the Party forever proud

11. Poem: TO MY FRONTIER SOLDIER - Trương Túy Anh
TO MY FRONTIER SOLDIER
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
Midnight, the northern wind whispers
Through the window's crevice
Startled by the thunderous waterfall
Longing for half of my love
Patrolling the border at dawn
Tracing misty forest trails
Crossing streams
Uniform drenched in night rain
How many hearts do you love
Boiling with red blood
Overcoming all hardships
Guarding the peaceful land and sky
You are like birds
Spreading wings across the frontier
Silently enduring, resting
So the village may bloom
You are the small flame
Warming my hands
You are the gentle breeze
Caressing my green hair
Rest assured, soldier
You have half of my love
Never faltering
Always standing by your side.

12. Poem: NIGHT ORCHID - Trương Túy Anh
NIGHT ORCHID
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
Midnight, Quỳnh sways gently
Silk wings releasing fragrance
Mingling with the breeze
Condensing into dewdrops
Flowers send back affection
To the one of a hundred years
Elegance, fervor
A fragile love
The night grows cold
Warmth for you
Offering fragrance to life
Complete devotion, loyal flower

13. Poem: CELEBRATING A NEW SCHOOL YEAR - Trương Túy Anh
CELEBRATING A NEW SCHOOL YEAR
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
Drums... Drums.. resounding
In the new school year, joy abounds
The schoolyard with towering phoenix trees
Dons a new attire, signaling the arrival of autumn
The cricket's song breaks the silence
Laughter echoes after a joyful summer
Teachers bow in greeting
Wishing health and countless affections
Congratulations to my dear friends
May the new school year be confident and strong
Let's be ready, my friend
Study diligently, becoming better each day
In the fragrant breeze
Golden daisies bloom, butterflies flutter around
Together, let's reach for the sky
Sailing into the vast sea of dreams...

14. Poem: AUTUMN TEASE - Trương Túy Anh
AUTUMN TEASE
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
The courtyard blooms with golden chrysanthemums
Glistening dew, gently welcoming autumn
Behind the chicken coop, the rooster crows
The Sun peeks out, casting gold on the river's surface
Looking out over the fields
The green rice sways gracefully, blossoming in clusters
The intense sun gradually fades
Autumn's beginning brings a misty atmosphere
The scent of ripe persimmons fills the air
Dry leaves sway with longing, bidding farewell to branches
The sky, deep and clear
Birds hastily circle, seeking their prey
Reluctant to leave, yet filled with endless regret
Wishing to go but longing for the early autumn
The sky will soon turn gray
Feet tiptoe beside falling leaves
On the old path, we stand and wait
Longing fills the air, my dear...!

15. Poem: WHEN YOU VISIT ME - Trương Túy Anh
WHEN YOU VISIT ME
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
July arrives, you come to visit me
The martyrs' cemetery, our meeting place
Tears have flowed countless times, choking our throats
Counting the long rows of graves
Do you remember the love poems from that year
Hastily stuffing my hand, wheelchair rolling
I waved goodbye, eyes red
Promising to return, wait for me
One day in the bitter cold of winter
Dark clouds angrily call for rain
Your tears flowed incessantly
Holding the letter of painful news!
July arrives, the martyrs' cemetery
The scent of incense blends with flowers
Visitors choked with emotion, deeply moved
Remembering those far away...
Their names like an eternal song
Resonating forever, an immortal song
You place flowers on his grave
Asking for his hand once more...

16. Poem: MY DESIRES - Trương Túy Anh
MY DESIRES
Poem by Trương Túy Anh
I want to have a shoulder
To lean on when I reminisce
I want to have an arm
To embrace myself tenderly
I want early flowers
With butterflies swirling around
I want to admire the blue sky
Weaving into many white clouds
I want to be a ray of sunlight
To warm your heart
I want to be a shining moon
To illuminate your soul...
I want gentle waves
Not to disturb the white sandy shore
So that crickets can caress soft feet
Together, joyfully walking side by side with you
