1. Poem: Lingering
LINGERING
Poet: Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
Still lingering with autumn
Golden leaves fall, the gentle breeze whispers every evening
Bare branches, leaves scattered and swaying
November comes with so much nostalgia and love
Still naive, still carrying a lot
Through autumn, through winter, wandering in memories
The seasonal wind carries passion
Mixing poetry with the soul of the land and human emotions
The wind echoes the enchanting sound
Thoroughly permeating verses with the love for the land
Your slender figure, charming and gentle
My heart is heavy with countless memories and affections
November, with its lingering silk threads
Still painful and nostalgic for the homeland of the past
2. Poem: November
NOVEMBER
November has returned, hasn't it, my dear?
Reminding me of cherished memories and love
When we shared the same schoolyard but different classes
Secretly longing and remembering
The shyness of our first encounter
Your cheeks blushing, you nervously looked at me
Love sparkling like dewdrops, bright and clear
Though filled with love, my heart still hesitates
Then time brought us closer
We connected our fates, becoming husband and wife
Though life is not as smooth as we imagined
We've overcome half of the challenging journey
Believe, from now on, in our life
With me, we'll bear the burden together
Feel my love through each breath
Always intense, conveying an eager longing
As winter arrives, remember my advice:
When you go out, dress warmly, my love
So you won't feel the chill when you return
You'll sense the cold touching your being
For a lifetime, I hope to have you by my side
So I secretly dream of always being together
Even if the world outside changes
My wish is to have only you for a lifetime...
3. Poem: November, Remembering the Teacher
NOVEMBER, REMEMBERING THE TEACHER
Many Novembers have passed, dear teacher
Yet, within me, the memories linger and flow
Your words, an everlasting reminder
The baggage for my journey into life
Now, as we, your students, venture far and wide
We can't forget the lessons, the guidance you provided
Even though life is a ship without a fixed harbor
The grace of our teachers guides from years gone by
Sweet as the melodies of ferry songs
That my mother sang to soothe me since childhood
Teachers, like silent boatmen, gently
Steer the boat through bends and across rivers
Ensuring we remain joyous in our youth
Time's current tinges your hair with silver and white
Like parents enduring rain and basking in sunlight
For us, to have achievements today
November returns, reminding me each day
Of that kindness...
Forever etched in my heart.
4. Poem: Autumn's Longing!
AUTUMN'S LONGING!
At autumn's end, a sudden loneliness prevails
In our homeland, do you feel the chill, my dear?
Do you remember the endless nightly longing...
For the nation, you and I remain separated
Beloved, does your homeland feel your absence?
I intensely miss you during summer nights
We walked hand in hand beneath the bamboo shades
Hearing earnestly the cicadas seeking companionship
Words of love, never seem to diminish
Exchanging kisses in passionate sweetness
Endowing affection in burning fervor...
Yet now, we find ourselves distantly apart
I'm an islander, you're building a prosperous nation
Two different fronts, yet with a shared ideology
In our homeland, hearts brim with love
As eternal as love, throughout countless ages
Autumn is fading, winter is on its way
Is our homeland waiting for me, my love?
Yet here, my heart is ablaze with longing
A heap of reminiscences piled upon yearning...
Autumn concludes, carrying numerous reminders
To etch the memories of you in my heart...
Yearning for a respite, day and night I hope
To fulfill the pact of our days of separation...
5. Poem: Your Love
HIS LOVE
Her hidden love is always sweet and tender
Making his heart intoxicated, unforgettable
He wishes for continuous happiness and serenity
To blend together in a thousand nights of love
Hand in hand, overcoming every obstacle
He builds sweet happiness beside her
Both intoxicated in the myriad of stars
So the universe revolves in jealousy
Love is not about calculations or measurements
No need to count, weigh, or compare
Hand in hand, soothing all pain
Despite life's storms and hurricanes
For love is always warm and sweet
To be together, burning with passionate desire
His love will overflow forevermore
For a thousand lifetimes...
Only for
...Loving Her.
6. Poem: Rendezvous in Sơn La
RENDEZVOUS IN SƠN LA
Hearing the melodies of Thung Nhuối and Thung Khe
A car glides along the mountain slopes, clouds veiling the hills
Once again, Mộc Châu extends its inviting call
Fragrant tea in a pot, fresh milk in a jar
Surely there's a picturesque pine forest
A breeze welcomes the embroidered handkerchief, a green stream extends its invitation
So, the journey feels not too distant
Homemade rice wine intoxicates, laughter echoes in the evening
Quỳnh Nhai shrouded in mist during sunset
The pi pieu sounds atop the mountain, the panpipe cheers in the valley
Bamboo rice, dried meat, wild bamboo shoots
Meeting to remember, to celebrate, to cherish
Promising to return to the homeland
To contribute to charity, to share in joy once more.
7. Poem: Grandma with Butterflies
GRANDMA WITH BUTTERFLIES
Ripe, ripe now! Does Grandma feel hesitant?
When embracing flowers, adorning and posing
Love for art knows no age limit
Grandma just loves!...Drifts with butterflies!
The bird's footprints don't make Grandma self-conscious
When modeling with butterflies for a photo
Even if the face isn't bright and shiny
Due to time, the hardships of life
Wrinkled skin, can't prevent the smile
From temperament to the sparkling radiance
Beside grandchildren, Grandma feels no reluctance
When releasing her soul enchanted with butterflies
No need to feel insecure about age!
Butterflies aren't reserved for the young
Enjoy it while Grandma still can
With grandchildren, joyful and happy in old age
Don't confine oneself within four walls
Of norms, of some kind of ceremony
Who says old age can't dream
Don't wither away with years of waiting
Beside butterflies, even with a crooked smile
Still love life, love Grandma so much
Admire Grandma's photos, it's truly wonderful
Wishing Grandma eternal happiness and radiance.
8. Poem: Waiting for You
WAITING FOR YOU!!!
I await you, oblivious to time
As winter fades and spring arrives
Love within me still enchanting and sublime
Wrapped in my heart, a trove of memories
I await you, not counting each passing minute
My heart always embracing a longing so great
Hoping your love flows like a cool stream
Quenching my heart's thirst in patient anticipation
I await you, weaving beautiful verses
Lifting wings to seek the promised land together
Dreams abundant, overflowing for our pair
Holding you in my heart to fulfill our dreams...
9. Poem: Dreamy Love
DREAMY LOVE
Hoang Dieu Street in this autumn evening is exceptionally beautiful
As you love within the dreamy attire
For me to continue this poetic rhyme
In the twilight, a mesmerizing spectacle for wanderers
I beseech you, let me continue the lullaby
Lull you into the sweet dream of the autumn evening
Hoping you embrace it in your heart
A dreamy pink sky shared by both
Autumn is belated, standing on the bridge of reminiscence
I delicately gather the aroma of milk to offer to you
Joyful in the serene singing
The sky clear, white clouds evoke a deeply enamored feeling
Autumn is too beautiful, sweetly lingering
Our love is harmonious with the scent of affection
Golden chrysanthemums charmingly bright
Your purple dress triggers tender memories...
10. Poem: Remembrance
REMEMBRANCE!!!
**@**
Pure white in the school days
Innocent as a pair of birds
Green hair framing sparkling eyes
After class, lost in playful search
Summer for gathering firewood, picking plums
Tending buffaloes, flying kites
The wind whispers, truly exhilarating
Lying on the riverbank, singing freely
Endless expanses of lush fields
Yet today, it's all far away
Cicadas sing a lingering melody
As if calling someone from yesterday
Yearning to cling to childhood
To keep the soul forever pure
I want spring to pause
To paint more beauty in dreams
Oh, childhood, sweet childhood
Though the heart knows how earnest
Though regretful for days gone by
Time refuses to stay
Memories remain eternally
With teachers, friends
Remembering the phoenix trees, the cicada's song
The schoolyard ablaze in summer red
Remembering someone's gaze
Every evening filled with emotion
Eyes that were once black
Are they still as charming now?
Oh, forever remembering the days
I sought that gaze
Remembering the time of school days shared
For both of us...
11. Poem: A Glimpse of Melancholy
A GLIMPSE OF MELANCHOLY
This autumn day, a glimpse of melancholy
A melancholy unforeseen, no prior appointment
Life, as it is, holds unforeseeable surprises
You and I, no appointment yet on the same path
Hoping that soon I'll be closer to you
After each charity trip, teacher and student together
You shine with the vigor of youth and passion
Bringing joy to lives that are less fortunate...
Hearing the laughter of children, you're not here
Sparkling in the eyes of the elderly
Oh, the smiles that touch my heart
After every journey with you in charity
I believe in you - an outstanding leader
Navigating the Family ship across the seas
Holding hands, our hearts filled with compassion
Spreading love to young and old everywhere...
This brief moment but lingering for a lifetime
I pray to contribute a small love
Together with you - with our Family
Joining forces in love - Sharing affection...
12. Poem
MOTHER'S LOVE FOR HOMELAND
On Mother's Day, my heart aches with memories
Loving, gentle Mother, I ponder and long for
Remembering those windy days when you laid watching
I, unable to offer comfort in your pain...
Mother said tears could flow in reverse
I should care for my own life
Loving grandchildren! Mother silently sacrifices
Nurturing, a mountain and river incomparable to Mother...
Bearing the pain of childbirth, a love as vast as the ocean
Mother's hair graying, and I become a grandmother
Still yearning... for a chance to return
Beside my gentle Mother, as a good child...
Mother's Day, for me, for my child, and for my grandchild
I hope my dear Mother stays healthy and lives long
Absent from my grandchildren! Mother, please don't be sorrowful
In that distant place! Your grandchildren always remember you!!!
13. Poem: Love and Aspiration
LOVE AND ASPIRATION
On the day of parting, he asked: What major are you studying?
I frugally replied: Pedagogy
He hesitated to ask more questions, then gradually erased...
Memories fading into the distance...
Over a year of separation from loved ones
I refrained from writing letters about school, about the class
For I feared he would be startled suddenly
When the trust between us began to split in two
Not now, but back then, by my side
He already disliked the major I chose
Two souls with growing ideals and beliefs
The decision to pursue the profession of love from afar
I cannot force myself to sit hugging the banyan tree
As time does not wait for anticipation
My soul in a daze is a dream come true
Striving to become a future teacher
The reality at first was awkward with a pen in hand
When holding a pen to draw physical figures
The source of knowledge scattered with chalk dust
Taking the youth's vision to the distant sky...
By the bunk bed as days go by
Foreign language lessons are no longer difficult
Next to my friend, forgetting sorrow and hardship
Building dreams together
His question to me persists until now
Allowing me to be proud of it today
And tomorrow, when the sun rises
I will proudly gaze at the Pedagogy school.
14. Poem: Mother's Heart
MOTHER'S HEART
Love for you since the beginning, oh child
A mother's love lasts a lifetime, unconditionally
From your first steps by the bedside
Growing up, wandering through paths, still cherished
For you, traversing every road
Deep rivers, vast oceans, how to measure them all?
Mother's effort like the sea, sky high
For you, her hair has turned the color of time
Because you, facing hardships, never mind
Caring for you, caring for grandchildren, no complaints in her heart
Now you, far away, getting married
Hoping only for Mother to find joy in her heart
Every morning, wishing Mother peace
A happy, peaceful life
Every summer, taking Mother out to play
Mother, child, and grandchildren laughing together.
15. Poem: The Sea and You
THE SEA AND YOU!
After many years, I return to the sea
Seeking the beloved shadow of days gone by
We walked together under the coconut trees
The sand softly caressing our cool feet
The sea vast, like my overflowing heart
You, gentle and whispering as before
I hear the sweet call of love again
Tomorrow distant, evoking memories and longing
Walking with you as the night reveals the moon
Fishing boat lights resembling fireflies at night
The waves may be tumultuous, but you are calm
And I feel more intoxicated than by the waves...
16. Poem: Beloved Spring
BELOVED SPRING
Spring arrives, displaying its beauty outside
The sky leisurely spreads its rays of golden sunlight
Why does your face blush with rosy hues?
Your smile captivates and intoxicates my heart
With spring, hands join together
Lips are red, eyebrows gracefully curved
Here and there, the fragrance of flowers is intense
And your scent wafts, enchanting and mesmerizing
Welcoming Spring joyfully today
The tender love of Spring makes the night brighter
Dreamy and charming, with rounded shoulders
The fragrance entwines in your green hair
Wandering nostalgically around the streets
Following the elegant footsteps, reminiscent of the past
Sweet love, sweet and fragrant
By the new Spring doorstep, looking out for someone
My love, vivid and unchanging
In the years, still yearning and waiting
Embracing both in my arms
Loving you, loving the path you walk...
17. Poem: Clouds and Water
CLOUDS AND WATER
Why is it strange, my dear?
Clouds keep following the water endlessly
Just like love, captivated and immersed
In each other, never willing to part
Water flows toward the open sea
Clouds trail, reflecting in the water's embrace
Wanting to express a wish profound
Amidst the vastness of land and sky
At times when clouds are upset
Water remains calm, clouds melancholy
When the waterfall roars and waves surge
Where does the remorseful cloud go?
I cherish you for a lifetime
In the deepest reaches of my soul
The heart always remains passionate
Forever, never diminishing...
