1. Season of Reed Flowers
When mentioning the most beautiful flower seasons in Dalat, we cannot overlook reed flowers. Reed flowers grow wildly, not cultivated, not cared for, only relying on the air to exist, a robust source of life as if it must encounter destiny.
The wind... sways the grass in rhythm along a long row, white like floating cotton making us feel as if we are too small in that vast space. Although a small wildflower grows amidst the mountains and forests, they still proudly stand before the wind, to let people know of their existence, together creating a beautiful scene from nature that we don't always encounter.
To capture the most beautiful photos, you should come here before sunset, when the last rays of sunlight of the day cover the hills, creating a gentle, profound scenery.

2. Season of Sưa Flowers
People of Hanoi often tell each other that March is the season of sưa flowers. The old Sưa trees, solemn along the streets of Hanoi, are nothing but green leaves all year round. Yet, when the earth transitions, when the spring rains gently pour into the ancient capital, the Sưa trees quietly awaken, blooming clusters of pure white flowers.
These small flowers cluster together delicately, their tiny white petals swaying in the wind, resembling the delicate and pure appearance of Hanoi's young girls. A gentle breeze passing through releases the clustered flowers to dance in the air, falling onto the streets like snowflakes, leaving you in awe of the enchanting beauty of these flowers in the ancient capital.

3. Plum Blossom Season in Moc Chau
Visiting Moc Chau on sunny days in February, as the warmth gradually rises over the Northwest plateau, you will sense the boundless beauty of the bright plum blossoms illuminating the vast blue sky. In February, plum blossoms bloom across the Moc Chau sky, their delicate white hue, pure and with a hint of wilderness amidst the mountains and hills, captivating all who wander here.
The plum blossoms bloom swiftly but also wither quickly, lasting only about 2 to 3 weeks. Therefore, to admire their beauty and capture those shimmering moments, you must move swiftly. Additionally, in February, Moc Chau is also the season of apricot blossoms, blending the delicate white of plum blossoms with the gentle pink hue of apricot flowers.
If in Sapa one must wait until the temperature drops to freezing to see snow, in Moc Chau, throughout the year there is “snow” from the blooming plum blossoms that grace the sky. These “snow flowers” are as dazzling as early season snow, adorning the surrounding villages with added romance. Especially in the middle of the season, some forests or houses in Moc Chau are covered in falling white plum blossoms, reminiscent of snowfall in the Sapa region during these days.

4. Trumpet Flower Season
Has anyone told you about the trumpet flower season in April in Hanoi, when the lingering spring prepares to depart and summer is tentatively stepping into the city? That's when the trumpet flowers grace the streets. Touching those gentle, pure white blossoms, our hearts suddenly feel lighter amidst life's weariness and chaos.
In April, on the flower vendors' carts scattered throughout the city, you can find trumpet flowers - the heralds of April on the streets. Along every alley, every street of Hanoi, the colors of these flowers are present. On Phan Dinh Phung Street, it's not hard to spot Hanoi ladies in their pure white ao dai, surrounded by clusters of delicate, white trumpet flowers, exuding the ancient yet gentle beauty, echoing somewhere the nostalgia of Vietnam.
The trumpet flowers are simple, gentle, yet they carry a hint of pride, as if waiting for the sun to bloom. If you happen to visit the capital during the blossoming season, treat yourself to a trumpet flower, head to Kim Ma or Phan Dinh Phung Street, and capture a sweet April photo for yourself!

5. Blossom Season
March is often referred to as the month of ban flowers. When visiting Dien Bien in March, amidst the stilt houses of the Thai ethnic minority, ban flowers bloom, covering the entire mountains and hills with white, as far as the eye can see. March in the western land of our nation, where the sun and wind usually dry the land, suddenly changes its color, with ban flowers blooming white, bringing a vibrant spring atmosphere.
Against the backdrop of the lush green mountains and sky, the white color of ban flowers, with its faint and sweet fragrance, creates a scene that seems to belong only in a watercolor painting. Ban flowers come in various colors: light pink or faint purple... but the white Ban flower remains the most traditional hue.
The white hue of ban flowers is not as delicate as that of cherry blossoms or plum blossoms; rather, it exudes strength and resilience, akin to the beauty of a girl from the mountainous regions. Once you set foot in Dien Bien during the blooming season of ban flowers, you will experience the pure beauty of nature's creation, the harmonious and skillful arrangement of Mother Nature in the Northwest mountains and forests.

6. Lotus Season at West Lake
When talking about the various flower seasons throughout the year, one cannot forget the season of pink lotus - a flower that embodies purity and freshness. Around June, lotus buds begin to bloom, filling the air with their delicate and pure fragrance. The gentle pink color, intermingled with the green hue of the leaves, creates a delightful and serene beauty.
In mid-June, as the lotus blooms, it's easy to spot graceful women clad in traditional Ao Dai dresses amidst the still budding lotus flowers, exuding a charming and gentle beauty, distinctly Vietnamese. You cannot miss the vast lotus ponds, where simple yet beautiful blossoms emit a subtle and elegant fragrance.
Stepping into a lotus pond feels like entering a more peaceful and gentle world, away from the hustle and bustle of life. Once you set foot in places like Xuan Dinh Lotus Lake (Hanoi) or Thap Muoi lotus ponds, you'll be amazed by the beauty of the national flower.
For a long time, the name Dong Thap Muoi, a land of mudflats and water all year round, has been synonymous with the homeland of lotus flowers in the Southern region. While lotuses only bloom in summer in the North, in Dong Thap, lotus flowers boast their beauty all year round.
Lotuses can be found everywhere in Dong Thap, and during the flooding season (from August to November every year), lotus flowers bloom profusely in the marshes and ponds of Dong Thap. Dong Thap is an ideal destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life and enjoy the peaceful countryside scenery. The best time to visit this land of pink lotuses is around the Lunar New Year.

7. Purple Crape Myrtle Season
Friends often tell me purple crape myrtle flowers are reminiscent of school days, but I prefer to associate them with a sense of romance and loyalty, tinged with a hint of melancholy.
Purple crape myrtle flowers are commonly seen around May when flamboyant phoenix trees herald the arrival of summer, and the purple crape myrtles quietly don their new attire. Along the city streets, clusters of purple crape myrtles begin to bloom, adorning the branches heavily. The clustered crape myrtle trees stand side by side, painting a corner of the sky with a forest of purple flowers. I admire the way young people gather to take photos next to these flowering trees, evoking a hint of sadness and nostalgia.

8. Triangle Buckwheat Flower Season
If you ever set foot in Ha Giang during the month of October, you'll find yourself immersed in the poetic landscape of buckwheat flower hills. The tiny flowers form beautiful clusters that are simply breathtaking.
You'll be amazed as you lose yourself in the sea of flowers, delicate and dreamy amidst the majestic mountains. As the white flowers bloom across the hillsides, gradually transitioning to a gentle pink hue, the beauty remains enchanting.
By the end of October, as the flower season comes to a close, the blooms shift from pink to deep purple before fading away. Visiting Ha Giang during this time allows you to participate in the Buckwheat Flower Festival and engage in the fascinating activities of the locals, capturing the most beautiful moments amidst endless flower fields.
Buckwheat flowers are planted by locals for food, and when they bloom, from white to pink to red, they create a uniquely romantic scene in the highland areas. The most famous buckwheat flower destination is in Ha Giang.
Buckwheat is cultivated in terraced fields that are visually captivating and attract many tourists during the October season.

9. Milky Flower Season
Hanoi always has its own distinctive flower seasons that evoke nostalgia and fondness. If someone were to ask me what the distinctive scent of Hanoi is, I would say it's the aroma of milky flowers. For a Hanoian, the scent of milky flowers seems to be the essence of the capital city, almost a given.
When the cool autumn breeze begins to whisper, bringing with it the first hints of winter chill, it's the time when milky flowers quietly burst into clusters of delicate white blossoms, releasing their fragrance into every alley and street corner. The milky flowers are associated with the elegance of the people of Trang An, and nowhere else are these flowers treated with such tenderness and affection.
Every evening, strolling along the streets of Hanoi, the scent of flowers permeates the soul, bringing a feeling of warmth and intimacy, with a hint of nostalgia. The flower season gently captivates the footsteps of passersby, holding them tenderly and naturally.
Milky flowers are neither flamboyant nor conspicuous, but their fragrance is enough to stir the heart. The fragrance of milky flowers is rich, with a hint of enveloping tenderness, but only a true Hanoian can truly cherish and reminisce about that scent, because to a stranger, the scent of milky flowers can be overpowering, sometimes even suffocating. But once you become accustomed to it, you'll feel an infinite fondness and longing.

10. Sparrow Flower Season
When the street vendors carry their sparrow flower bouquets down the streets, it's also when winter is preparing to embrace the capital. In the late autumn days, as the weather turns slightly cold, this flower brings a new feeling, dispersing the lingering heat of the transitioning seasons.
The sparrow flower blooms around late November, and throughout the streets of the capital, you can see the white color of sparrow flowers everywhere. The small blossoms with their white petals and slightly green-tinted yellow stamens exude a simple yet intimate beauty. Holding a bouquet of sparrow flowers in your hand, you might just smile at the simplicity of this flower, reminiscent of the simple drawings of flowers we used to sketch on paper during childhood.
Sometimes, Hanoi seems to make others envious because all year round, there's always a beautiful flower representing the city, stirring people's hearts. If previously Hanoi was known for its milk flowers and Indian coral trees, now, every autumn, you can see small bouquets of white daisies wandering around, beautifying the streets of Hanoi.
The sparrow flower season is usually short, so when the street vendors appear with their flower stalls, many people eagerly await to buy them. Moreover, to capture the beautiful moments of the changing season, many people take the opportunity to go out and take photos with the flowers.
In the past, when this flower was still relatively new, customers often had to seek out flower gardens in Nhat Tan to take simple photos with the background of sparrow flowers blooming under cherry blossom trees. However, recently, due to the growing demand, almost every photo spot in Hanoi has invested in planting this flower, notably the flower gardens in the Red River's rocky bank area.

11. Wild Sunflower Season
Have you ever visited Da Lat during the transition between October and November? If you haven't, make sure to explore the dreamy city during this time. Da Lat, the city of thousand flowers, where almost every flower blooms throughout the year showcasing its beauty, but it's not the fancy flowers that captivate me; Da Lat holds my heart with the wild, golden hue of wild sunflowers.
On a late October day, stepping into the dreamy city, the hillsides are adorned with the golden hue of these flowers. Wild sunflowers bloom vibrantly, their golden color shimmering in the early morning mist, giving the city a magical breath. These flowers seem to gather all the sunlight for the city, with tiny suns scattered everywhere, in the city and its outskirts.
Unlike roses, orchids, or lilies that require care, wild sunflowers thrive with simplicity and robustness, like the way of life of a wild grass. I've been convinced by the rugged and wild beauty of these flowers.
When visiting Da Lat during this season, choose the Liên Khương expressway and the Dran Pass as these routes boast the most beautiful wild sunflowers. Slowly stroll along these roads, surrounded by vibrant flowers, looking out towards the distant hills covered in a never-ending strip of golden silk.
Every year, when November arrives, the mountains of the Northwest and the Central Highlands are illuminated with the bright yellow wild sunflowers, signaling the upcoming winter. If wild sunflowers in the Northwest blend their yellow hues with the clouds and mist, creating a romantic scenery, it's a different story in the Central Highlands. Wild sunflowers look even more beautiful in the sunlight and wind of the Central Highlands, where the sun enhances their golden color and the wind makes them sway.
