1. Poem: AUTUMN WORDS
AUTUMN WORDS
An Giang Bùi
Autumn departs, what message do you send?
Along the small path by your house, still there
Fragile, you anticipate each gust of wind
Who are you watching for?
Winter arrives, with its long nights
Anonymous grass stems drenched in night dew
Thinking of someone, your cheeks blush
Braving the cold wind and falling dew!
A sudden sadness prompts a few lines of verse
To bid farewell to the returning autumn
The scent of autumn lingers on your hair
Eyes dreamy, watching winter footsteps approach.

2. Poem: SORROW
SORROW
An Giang Bùi
Gone are the eyes, the lips
Gone is the voice, the smile of yesteryears
Only to be met again in dreams
Mere fleeting glimpses in the mist
No more calls of endearment
No more waiting by the evening roadside
Today's evening feels restless
Today, only distant sorrow is felt.

3. Poem: ONCE UPON A TIME
ONCE UPON A TIME
An Giang Bùi
There was a time we could never forget
There was a time deeply engraved in memory
There was a time still lingering unfinished
There was a time we hold onto until today.
There was a time of sheer bliss
Seeing white clouds, feeling like flying
Watching the waves, feeling our hearts surge
Hearing the wind, thinking of an evening song.
We endlessly cherish those affectionate days
When night falls, we remember with yearning
The image of you deeply etched within us
Your hair cascading across your shoulders.
Until now, the longing remains unabated
Each night still revisiting in dreams
Your smiling eyes in the windy autumn
Leading our souls to a sweet land.
ONCE UPON A TIME STILL REMEMBERED VIVIDLY

4. Poem: CELESTIAL BIRDS
CELESTIAL BIRDS
An Giang Bùi
Then one day, the celestial birds
Flutter ceaselessly towards distant horizons
The evening imbued with silent clouds
The weary wind unable to utter a song.
And then one day, all must part
Who dares claim an unending joy?
The sky and sea dyed in a deep purple hue
Longing so profound, reluctant to let go.
In life, one encounters myriad worldly changes
Today, gathered; tomorrow, parted
Will there be a day when no one reminisces?
Who mourns, for not being with whom?

5. Poem: ONCE UPON A TIME
ONCE UPON A TIME
An Giang Bùi
Once upon a time, retracing old footsteps
On the daily path you tread to school
The evening rain blurs the imprints of sandals
I scold myself for not coming yesterday.
Once upon a time, I stand from afar
Gently watching your light footsteps
The evening breeze tousles your hair
You tilt your head, looking adorable.
Once, I glimpse your fleeting shadow
As it fades with the setting sun
I follow until you disappear from sight
Mist descends, obscuring your figure.
Then one day, I must leave home
Leaving you only a small note
Yet enclosing all my love within it
You shyly, tearfully gaze at me…

6. Poem: REMINISCENCE 5
REMINISCENCE 5
An Giang Bùi
I want to revisit the old riverbank
To find the silhouette I've long awaited
Years have drifted us apart
Yet your laughter remains as pure as before.
I want to return to seek a rainy afternoon
On the way home, sheltered under a canopy of leaves
The rain moistens the newly sprouted grassy knolls
You blushingly express your dislike.
I remember a moment watching the drifting weeds
Swaying with each passing wave
You lost in thought, tangled and hesitant
Wondering where the currents will take you…
Your hands crush a few blades of withered grass
Your eyes blink rapidly, revealing your sadness
Don't dwell on distant thoughts, look up at the vast blue sky
A bright future will return.
You smile as if awakening from a dream
And softly say, your temperament remains the same …
I've been away from you for many years perhaps
But the days together are still cherished in my heart.

7. Poem: AWKWARD
AWKWARD
An Giang Bùi
Someday you will forget me
I'll return to being the me of yesteryears
Days upon days always the same
Both blurry and very distant.
What was forever a thousand years
Now just a heart turned to stone
The leaf falls from the tree with the wind
The pink cloud drifts far away.
Someday you will go far away
Long shadows on the sunlit evening road
Fading away as the fiery sunset approaches
Trying hard but not seeing your figure anywhere.
The old dream once bridged a gap
To reconnect two ends of longing
The bridge of longing remains unfinished
You've gone and no one cares about the bridge.
The other shore still waits
Still looking across the dividing river
The river remains clear in its flowing water
Still waiting for the bridge to cast its shadow on the flowing stream.

8. Poem: REMINISCENCE 1
REMINISCENCE 1
An Giang Bùi
That smile, how could I forget
The gaze still lingering in me
The day you left, the cold wind returned
I stood watching the distant flight.
You said I'd wait for the day you return
You'll come in to visit me
Thirty years, time never stops flowing
The green trees have become ancient.
You left on the last day of autumn, leaves falling
Sad sunlight clinging to the thin curtain
The day you left, no dust of rain
But your eyes blurred in the white mist.
The beginning counted days, counted months
Now I can't remember how many Autumns
Looking towards you, only see haze
But in my heart, echoes linger.
It's been a long time hiding in life
Still waiting even though years pass quickly
Time may fade the colors
But your figure remains intact in memory.

9. Poem: REMINISCENCE 2
REMINISCENCE 2
An Giang Bùi
These past few days, no sound of the night's strings
The window of the neighboring house no faint pink shadow
Why is that, the other side is deserted
And here, I feel lonely.
Between us, we're not close
Never have we shared our thoughts
Never have we whispered a word of inquiry
Has she ever thought of me?
Every evening, I glance over
See her hurriedly hiding behind the curtain of wind
Just like that, yet longing and reminiscing
And silently dreaming in the night.
One time, I stood silently
She didn't know, eyes searching
I stood dazed before her ethereal presence
Suddenly bewildered like one mesmerized…
Now she's gone, only the darkness remains
No sound of strings, no faint pink shadow
Each evening, my heart feels emptier
Standing dreamily, gazing over there, lost in reverie.

10. Poem: SORROW
SORROW
An Giang Bùi
There's a sadness that shares its secrets with someone
The wild wind, leaves falling with a sigh
The familiar road now seems endlessly lonely
The misty rain erases traces of the past.
There's a hidden sorrow from the past months and days
Every evening forces us to remember
The land and sky covered in a white wash
A person's silhouette momentarily disappears.
We silently observe and ponder vaguely
Each person has their own hidden corner
Sometimes still sitting alone, secluded
Nibbling at sorrow, waiting for tomorrow.
Then we walk again on the long roads
Hoping to find a kindred spirit
Someone to share joys and sorrows with
Forget hardships amidst the mundane.

11. Poem: THE UNFINISHED LETTER
THE UNFINISHED LETTER
(December, reminiscing about the soldier's life...)
An Giang Bùi
In the wind, I sit on the mountain ridge,
Writing a letter to my beloved girlfriend.
The sun sets golden, the stream murmurs behind me,
The birds call each other back to their nests.
My friend sits with a small backpack,
Using it as a makeshift desk to hastily pen some words of love:
On distant battlefields, I miss you dearly,
In the cold winter days, you step into the rice fields.
Back in our village, it's always the same,
People work the fields year-round...
Before finishing, the marching orders arrive,
I quickly fold the letter into the notebook.
The forest echoes with the sound of gunfire,
Rifle slung over my shoulder, I quietly set off,
Knowing that enemy soldiers,
Hearing gunshots, will charge forward.
After the battle, we search for comrades.
You're gone, leaving behind only the backpack,
Faded, with a few unhealed holes,
In the notebook, there's still an unfinished letter...

12. Poem: LONGING IN THE EVENING
LONGING IN THE EVENING
An Giang Bùi
Forest evening, leaves rustle and fall,
Here and there echoes a melancholy melody,
The path is covered with layers of leaves,
So someone gets lost.
Lonely autumn evening, heartache grips,
Desolate longing covers everything,
The melancholic gaze is vague,
Where is someone heading?
Seeing the scene, how to express the longing?
Longing, how long will it last?
They keep going, never returning,
The evening breeze chills, evoking pain.
Someone is still in a distant place,
Oh wind, let me send a few words,
Will you remember me this evening?
Here, I still remember and long for you.

13. Poem: REVISITING HUẾ WITH AFFECTION
REVISITING HUẾ WITH AFFECTION
An Giang Bùi
I want to visit Huế in an affectionate evening,
Strolling along the Perfume River, quietly contemplating,
Letting my soul fly back to where I once visited,
To remember that rainy afternoon.
Visiting the Imperial City, admiring the blooming phoenix flowers,
Descending to Vĩ Dạ to greet acquaintances from that year,
The purple dress from the past, how much I remember,
It's deeply engraved in me until now.
Phu Văn Lâu, its tile roof covered in moss,
Still embraces an unfinished love affair,
Like the banks of the Perfume River filled with longing,
Gazing silently at each other throughout the long night.
Returning to Nam Giao, burdened with love,
Contemplating the melancholic tunes of Huế,
The beloved DẠ melody remains the same,
Longing endlessly, I send back a kiss.

14. Poem: ONE AFTERNOON
ONE AFTERNOON
An Giang Bùi
There was an afternoon, rain beside me,
You sat quietly, listening to me sing,
Snuggled against me, holding hands tightly,
Your head gently leaning on my shoulder.
I sang dreamily, deeply intoxicated,
Seemingly chatting with you,
Each song like love blazing,
Like waves surging layer upon layer within me.
Sending into you every bit of longing,
Still smoldering in the days of absence,
You listened in silence, enthralled,
Pressing your eyes against my shoulder a couple of times.
Which rain came this afternoon,
Bringing back countless memories,
I no longer have the songs of that year,
What can I sing to give to you?

15. Poem: SAD AFTERNOON
SAD AFTERNOON
An Giang Bùi
You stand there watching the fading afternoon sun,
Bamboo forest bewildered beneath the autumn sky,
The familiar road deserted without a soul,
The breeze whispers softly, somewhat lost.
Where are you this melancholy evening?
Smiling lips, but only pretending,
Thinking that this evening there would be a pair,
Holding hands, wandering in the deserted woods.
Waiting for you amidst the silence,
The heart restless like burning embers,
Why this evening longing for countless,
For someone who made you miss the appointment?
You are very sad but restrain your heart,
To not make this autumn afternoon weep...

16. Poem: BLAME
BLAME
An Giang Bùi
That autumn, the sky was overcast with clouds,
You walked in the sun with your hair fluttering,
Naively stepping on that road,
The lake waves gently lapping the shore.
That autumn, you said you'd wait,
For spring to come with its dreamlike scenery,
You came to visit me as promised,
To weave together our verses.
You watched the falling daisy petals,
Your heart sad, thinking of our parting,
Reluctantly walking away,
Clasping my hand, trying to smile.
This autumn, you still seem distant,
Watching in the evenings the distant horizon,
Sending whispered words with the wind,
Do you remember those autumns?

17. Poem: YOU DEPART
YOU DEPART
An Giang Bùi
You depart, amidst the mountains and forests, I miss you,
You leave behind the night dew soaked with sorrow,
Even the road feels melancholic,
No longer hearing the sound of footsteps in the twilight.
The wild grass, silent, mournful,
Who else will welcome the evening breeze with the flowers?
You depart, leaving my heart empty,
I miss you, I only call silently from afar.
You depart, tears glistening in the sun,
Who else will greet the dawn with joy?
High above, the cool breeze,
Watching the trees swaying, lost in lovesickness.
You depart, leaving unfinished verses,
The moon hangs over the lonely mountain, soulless.
Oh my love, will you ever return?
The forest, the trees and leaves still await your return.

18. Poem: DREAMING OF YOU
DREAMING OF YOU
An Giang Bùi
Dreaming of you
A small corner of peace in the ancient town
The temple bell
echoes love every evening
Dreaming of you, lingering in my mind
A long melancholic line in the fading twilight
Dreaming of you
You're radiant as sunlight
Passing by swiftly
I suddenly feel stunned
Rubbing my eyes
Is this real or a dream?
Still smiling
Gracefully walking
I'm captivated
In the twilight's glow.
Then sinking into the breath of the night.
Dreaming of you
As the city lights up
Longing to meet you
Even if it's just for a moment
The night falls on the streets
The trees seem solemn
A cup of coffee
With delicate smoke
Me beside you
The scent envelops us...
Dreaming of you
I engrave
Your figure from those days.

19. Poem: LONGING FOR HANOI
LONGING FOR HANOI
An Giang Bùi
(Dedicated to ……………)
Hanoi, it's been years since we've been apart
Missing the rows of trees, the beloved corners of the city
Longing for the evenings sitting by Hoan Kiem Lake
Hearing the gentle music from Quan Gio.
Missing West Lake, slender willow branches swaying
The afternoon sun casting a shimmering veil over the water
Longing for someone intensely, feeling nostalgic
Remembering the smiles, the familiar voices of those days.
Though never planned, why do I long so much
To once again watch the sunset together
Hand in hand, drawing closer
In the chilly evening breeze...
Lingering thoughts of someone like a mirage
Fluttering like being half-awake, half-asleep
Wishing to send a gift to the white clouds today
For someone - Love and longing.

20. Poem: SADNESS WITH SOMEONE
SADNESS WITH SOMEONE
An Giang Bùi
There are things that were just yesterday
Today have become part of the past
There are things that accompany us through the years
We never want to forget them in this lifetime
There are people who make us feel pain
But there are others who bring us happiness
Every time we look back at memories
The joys and sorrows emerge within us
Day by day, we step forward
Early season rains start to pour
If anyone returns, please send my regards
To someone I silently love
Every time I gaze at the evening clouds
My heart is filled with intense longing for You
Lost birds, clouds apart
Seeking refuge from loneliness
The evening rain suddenly feels colder
When the past is still so far away
The raindrops soften the sunlight
Falling on the deserted street without passing figures
Thinking of You, I feel aching
How indifferent life can be
How time keeps silently flowing
Leaving immense sorrow, my dear.
