1. THE FOUR SEASONS
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
The evening shadows slowly fade away
A web of dreams veils my private sorrows
The breeze, faintly cold, intensifies my longing for you
As dusk falls, my heart lingers in nostalgia
I send you my love carried by the swirling wind
Filled with tender affection, sweet and gentle
The roadside trees dance with the chilly wind
A hint of winter adds to the trembling excitement
I send you a lifetime of dreams
Filling the space with longing and affection
The lonely room, warm amidst uncertainties
Enfolds me in its chilly, square walls
Sending to you, through the clear seasons
A rosy cloud carrying sunlight through the depths
Fleeting happiness trembles in the night
For our love, thirsty for passionate affection
Hold on to me, an everlasting love
The Perfume River brims with affection in all seasons
Our lives intertwined like a pair of lovebirds
Like the sand dunes, with footprints deeply engraved
I send you all my yearnings and desires
Through winter, spring, summer, and returning autumn
Your silhouette and the longing remain
I keep my solemn vow unchanged

2. MEMORIES, WHERE TO FIND
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
The rain arrives, follow me as it beckons
Amidst the spring fragrance blending earth and sky
Take my hand, quietly bewildered
A rosy dream lingering on our lips
Timeless seasons, yet no love remains young
Green mornings touch the sun-kissed hair
Heavenly winds dance with humanity
Colors bloom, melting the icy cold
Perhaps the rain forgets the spring
And you, forget the memories drifting afar
Old flowers, the purple of longing days
At the end of the road, a footprint engraved
February comes, love carries the scent of sunlight
Memories knit white clouds over the bridge
You carried half a lifetime silently
Where are the buried sorrows?

3. SPRING SONATA
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Spring's blessings cleanse the earthly path with rain
The sấu tree sheds its bark, revealing deep hues
Youthful shoots, masterpieces of changing leaves
Smoothly green amid the bounty of earth and sky
At day's end, the futile sun sets
Lean toward twilight, half of oneself
Half in pain, half in the throes of rupture
Rain adds age, soaking in naive folly
The Golden Apricot mixes with the Dance of Flowers
Quat blossoms fragrance, intense in the maiden's hand
The street pregnant, watching the bustling crowd
Swallows in flocks, answering spring's call
Radiant pink, Peach blossoms fill the courtyard
Warm the heart, Earth toils tirelessly
The Year of the Pig passes, the Year of the Rat softens stones
Carry love, happiness, return to others
The spring sonata resonates as night ebbs

4. SƠN NỮ CA
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
The forest's fragrance spreads hues of flowers
Harmonious notes echoing in the woods
The rosy sun warmly welcomes the new spring
Sơn Nữ joyously composes a song.
Blue leaves, peach blossoms, and abundant luck
Wandering guests witness the enchanting soul
The hills are covered with golden rice fields
Mountain ranges ripe with love, red and ripe.
New plum blossoms tinged with spring's affection
Butterflies mesmerized by the sublime scene
Whoever visits Lạng's land of Tô Thị
The rivers and streams of Kỳ Cùng offer rest.
The khen plays, the firelight drinks the falling dew
Earth-made fabric weaves the warmth of humanity
Bánh chưng, lard, fragrant sticky rice
Old age pays homage to the heavens and earth

5. CITY, JANUARY RAIN
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
In January, the city bustles with activity
The Barringtonia tree awaits its spring gift
At the end of the road, yellow lights and stone benches
Bất Tử Café blushes, calling out to lovers
Night's colors conceal a wandering soul
Turning the corner, fading into memories
Eight full years, still lingering with sweetness
The bell tolls, continuing the seasonal transition
Green grass welcomes the rainy days
Subconscious shivers as the mist falls cold
Alone, yet filled with self-contentment
Thoughtful steps tread the soulless pavement
The city witnesses a moment of farewell
Debts of karma weathered, awaiting a return
In the dark night, two lives intersect
Hand in hand, rewriting the seasonal tune

6. COVID-19 SEASON
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Schools empty amid covid's reign
Old quarter's crossroad, sidewalks barren
In March, the pandemic spreads
The capital's food stockpiles swiftly deplete
Prohibitions enforced, masks in demand
Imported masks, a quest for the poor
Health forecasts predict a large outbreak
Airlines grounded, surplus seats fill
Oh, the widespread pandemic
From the land of the Great Han, insidious infections spread
Hoping the virus swiftly dissipates
Peaceful life awaits, like a student awaiting roll call

7. SEASONS OF LOYAL FLOWERS
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Spring leaves behind the last windswept flower seasons
Sending distant clouds near the horizon's edge
The one from back then forgets vows left unspoken
Leaving the city, the sun weeps in farewell
Thin mists of March carry away white salt
The curly petals awaken to perpetual nostalgia
Of a time forgotten, like an unexpected arrival
Amidst the sunset, a mark of seasonal change
Evening musings, has summer yet arrived?
Bân's woven shirt delights the small street
Mộc Miên blooms amidst the windy season's sighs
Bright red, the color of a fleeting farewell
The weary street, a forgotten celestial road
The dry month ends, blaming broken promises on rain
No replacement for the purple flower-covered heart
Unwavering loyalty, ageless, writes love poetry

8. MOTHERLAND, HOMELAND
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
The country cradles us for four thousand years
Countless ancestors shed their blood and bones
Golden history engraves our souls into the mountains and rivers
Guarding day and night for the peaceful motherland
Through ups and downs, humiliations and glories
The nation's strength endures immortal
Trần Hưng Đạo, a statue of steel spirit
Hồ Chí Minh ignites the torch of faith
Entering integration, resolutely rising together
Matching strength shoulder to shoulder with great powers
In times of hardship, no one is left behind
The motherland extends its arms to welcome its children
The Vietnamese people bear the burden of love
For the noble virtues, sacrificing everything
The government and the people united in purpose
Fulfilling the set goals
It's truly saddening, those wicked elements
Denying the merits of generations past
Seeking every means to conspire destruction
Aiding the hostile forces...
Ask yourself, what have you done?
Contribute your intellect to build the motherland
Instead of complaining and judging
Act now before it's too late
Each of us born into this world
Is an inheritance from history
A root from the ancestors, from our parents
Be proud, strive to mature as humans
We grow up on the milk of the homeland
The cradle of the country thousands of years old
Empowered on the journey ahead
The Lạc - Hồng bloodline pulsating in our hearts

9. TRUMPET FLOWER
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Early summer gently descends upon the streets
The flower vendors brighten with smiles
That's you, pure in white attire
Enchanting, lingering in my soul..
Are you eighteen, in the prime of youth
Untainted by the dust of the world
Are you a fairy from ancient tales
I dream endlessly of the spring...
Amidst life's dreams, loved ones spread their wings
While outside, the world changes unpredictably
No one can make you cry
Beneath the white dress, I adore you
Oh trumpet flower, your lips fragrant and tender
Raising love across the golden horizon
In that season, hand in hand, forever beautiful
The lingering scent of longing in solitude
Here, I cherish the memories
As if you're still faintly beside me
This morning, as the trumpet flower just fades
Carrying along with it the lingering memories..

10. DEBTS TO EACH OTHER
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
We owe each other a red phoenix wing
Drifting across the river in white robes
The white rain flies beyond the old horizon
Gazing at distant clouds, a sudden ache in the heart.
We owe each other the name of a street
Where silk-cotton trees shed their mysterious dew
The old dress still carries the scent of the girl
Only to be remembered with graying hair?
We owe each other a block of melancholic love
Fragrant lips like the bud of a shy flower
Perhaps more than ten years
Love submerged in the ocean of bitter fruit.
We owe each other a reunion melody
The past unable to paint a portrait
A small shoulder against the cold wall
Mossy stones engraved with endless longing.
We owe each other two words of return
The wandering stork's soul of the homeland
Years away, sky uncertain
Still, the fragrance of your oath lingers.

11. OH MARCH
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Oh March... we store as memories
Sad love stories, heartaches within
Closed now, let the past rest
We've also passed through bitter lands
Oh March, once yearned for days
Delayed happiness at the distant end
March arrives, the crossroad for us
The old path no longer shared steps
Oh March, once dreamed of days
Welcoming spring, we'd be together
But transitioning seasons leaves only pain
We know why we're left hanging
Oh March... days of contemplation
Tears burnt deep in our hearts
Awake now from a lovely dream
Returning alone to a small room
Oh March, please stop carrying the cold wind
Let warmth of sunlight come through
For us, just a little wish
Burning the past, releasing ashes of old days
Oh March, we no longer dream
As spring comes, buds already bloom
Sadness or joy, we'll still smile
For we understand life is still beautiful

12. RAINY LOVE
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Cold night, love's path splits in two
Spring fades, calling out to summer, a season's exchange
Memories shattered into countless pieces of longing
Will you return to love again in the March rain?
I stayed awake with past regrets
Cloud bubbles, seventeen-year-old you
Your path adorned with gold there
Leaves parting, trembling branches weep in pain
Could it be we'll pass each other again?
The maiden forgets to give her loyal colors
Youthfully, she writes the lover's name in ink
You and the night of deep bonds, lasting a lifetime
Amidst the stifling earth and sky, the sound of falling rain
Silent night gently distances nostalgic thoughts
Wet with emotion, footsteps seek
The rain's love story, written wordlessly
Suddenly startled, the night calls out, oh beloved

13. MARCH NIGHT
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
March brings rice flowers to the sky
Leaving phoenix flowers swaying in the pink sun
Clearing, white rice in the water
A bird predicts fish amidst the green rice fields
March brings pomelo flowers clinging to branches
Fireflies flicker around the village gate
Kite flutes lull April's arrival
Nights blend with golden moonlight, dreaming
March hears the 'ơ ầu' calls
Wobbling dance during the rising water season
No one names the poor village
Silently waiting for dawn to bring the legend of flowers

14. SAD AFTERNOON
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Faint mist fades in the afternoon
Sadness settles, enveloping the heart
Far away, where do you seek?
Only the solitary carries its own sorrow
March arrives, lingering at the end of the alley
Hearing my shattered heartache
Love now dulled and faded
Must bury deep this anguish
Dusk spreads with melancholy, eyes teary
Souls poignant in solitude
Rain whispers like mournful cries
Knowing tears fall in the long night of solitude

15. MEMORIES OF YOUTH IN TRANSITION
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
A lifetime refuses to drift aimlessly
Let fragrance grace life with sweetness
Quaff away the sorrows poured by night
Glimmering waves tilt memories into the new season
Smile to forget emotions bought and sold
Wash away winter's gains and losses
Pure white dove wings the loveliest
Summoning hidden affection with sincerity
Sunlight blends with strands of azure hair
Defy the season's chill wind in poetic reversal
Autumn stones lay moss-covered to evade
Flowers and grasses, like unwitting daggers
Expand the heart to embrace the dawn
A youth's essence, infinitely beautiful
Returning the night of rainbows just closed
Happiness blossoms in the tranquil daisy's lap
Life's flower beckons, alluring butterflies

16. FRAGRANCE OF THE FOREST
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
She was born in a Tay village
Rosy cheeks, cherry lips, hair like forest mist
Her figure slender, waist cinched
A cham blouse dyed in a forest of green
Her sweet Then melody fills the air
Nine steps wait for you to return
Homegrown dialect feels like home
The Tinh lute has a string of eternal vows
Today's Tô Thị is more resilient than days past
Her hillside still welcomes noon early
Sweetness of maize carries the scent of bamboo shoots
Tangy taste, honey flavor of life
Wild bamboo shoots she picks for her beloved
Come here, morning or evening
Don't forget, the land of Lạng holds deep love

17. SPRING WISHES
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Are you the spring, my love?
I secretly hold that spring within my heart
In difficult times, I think of you, seeking solace
Wanting to be with you, sharing hunger and plenty
You're fleeting like a sudden rain
I pour my heart out to you, but you're elsewhere
I try to hold you back, but you say little
Then quietly, you seek elsewhere
The lonely moon blames its fate
I tell myself, accepting it as it is
Knowing who to share the sweet and bitter with
If spoken, you think it's trivial
New days, loving me means... silk robes
Rosy cheeks and sparkling eyes
As time passes, life becomes tough
Have you changed... or is it me?
Here, old Mother, here, my childishness
In the poor village, sometimes hungry, sometimes full
My hands always in darkness
Are you oblivious, or just indifferent?
That's probably why the rosy cheeks fade, isn't it?
You don't need to pay attention to anyone
I silently accept and endure
Because the warmth bears all the ups and downs
I only wish for a day when you understand
To care for joys and sorrows beside me
Hand in hand, sharing in times of need
Even in difficulties, holding hands, sharing
I long for our love to always endure
This spring, you're my life's wish

18. APRIL STREETS
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
April arrives, and we return to the old streets
It's strange, the streets are changing their colors
Cafés seem to be wearing brown coats
Feet hesitate... Is this the same old café?
The western sunflowers bloom, exhaling a fragrant scent
The street softly murmurs, welcoming early summer
The pink phoenix flowers play amidst the cicada's chirps
Today's street? Or the street of yesteryears, oh street?
People now hustle and bustle, no longer leisurely as in childhood
Is it time that's changed the way we see?
Or has the street shrunk before the bustling crowd?
April arrives, and the summer rain will pour
Cleansing the street, making its colors gleam
Awaiting those who journey far and wide
Offering them a beautiful bouquet of rice
Here, a corner of the street spills a bit of love
So now, let's go find the past
The street this evening - a melancholic April
I suddenly ask myself... Does the street await us?

19. VIETNAMESE WOMEN
Poetry by Sơn Nữ
Vietnamese women shine alongside the nation
Their history inscribed throughout the ages
Through all the ups and downs, steadfast they stand
Perfuming life with the essence of today
Vietnamese women nurture seeds and plant trees
Bearing burdens, nurturing generations
Heroic mothers tirelessly watch over their children
From Sister Thái Bình to the fields of golden rice
Vietnamese women, virtues bestowed from the heavens
Enduring hardships, they gild the red foundation
Guiding parliament and ministries through adversity
Poised politicians illuminate brightly
Vietnamese women strive tirelessly
Building a stronghold of belief in the modern era
Daisy flowers blooming, embodying youth
A day of honor, forever bright with a thousand stars

20. QUYNH SON FESTIVAL
Sơn Nữ's hometown brims with affection
Spring in Lạng land, peach blossoms and golden apricot
The festival just passed in January
Bắc Sơn parades, village boys sing then
Đằng Rử Thôn, temple gates wide open
Quỳnh Sơn Well, water with magical charm
Red flames burning throughout the night
Banners waving, rice offerings for abundant harvest
The sound of drums and gongs frightens foes
Echoing in sacred mountains, vegetation transitions
The Lý dynasty's heroic soldiers of old
Over a thousand years ago, as if it were yesterday
Điểm Sơn mountain, hospitable households
Dương Tự Minh's historical records passed down
Whoever comes to Lạng land, don't forget
The illustrious figures there echo in the Southern soil.
