According to the S&P 500 report, The Wall Street Journal has compiled a list of the 20 highest-paid CEOs in 2022. The CEO receiving the highest compensation is Sundar Pichai of Alphabet (Google), with $226 million. Following in second place is Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation, a company established in 2010, specializing in ticket sales for live events (game shows, sports, concerts, etc.). Tim Cook of Apple ranks third with $99 million.This amount represents the total compensation package that CEOs receive, according to reports submitted by the companies they oversee to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This sum includes salary, bonuses, additional stock grants, and other benefits as per corporate policies, such as lunch allowances, car allowances, phone allowances, etc.
