I come to the Sen village one afternoon,
Rows of Buddhist pagodas cast a gentle shadow.
The green of the eggplant garden reflects in the leaves,
The pomelo tree wafts its fragrance in the evening sun.

I step into the old thatched house,
Simple and humble, the family altar stands.
The old bamboo bed, how I miss it so,
My tears blur memories of the past.

The hammock where Mother used to sing lullabies,
Her soothing voice echoing through.
Surely Uncle Ho lies here, listening to Mother's tales,
Tales of the past, tales of bygone days?

The Coc well at the head of the village, its water clear,
The lotus pond fragrant with a gentle breeze.
Did Uncle Ho often come here to fetch water,
As if preparing to carry mountains and rivers in the future?

The old loom of Bà Loan,
Weaving cloth to support her husband and children.
The sound of the shuttle, as if
Bà still sits here, her shadow yet to fade?

I stand quietly, tears falling,
How my heart aches, Uncle!
A life of dedication, nurturing great ideals,
Amidst the vast sky, the moon shines bright.

Uncle, you departed to save the homeland,
Shining with the truth of Marx and Lenin,
Your revolutionary path lighting the way,
Liberating our people from chains.

Soon it will be Father's birthday,
