RICE BLOSSOM SEASON
By Đình Khải
She reminds him of rice blossoms
Once ignited by the riverbank's fire
He startles, oh yes
A longing stirring within
Recalling those days of yore
The rice trees at our village's head
Each time they bloomed
We found ourselves intoxicated
He, lost in reverie
She, gathering fallen petals
And adorning her hair
To leave him spellbound…
Yet how many years have passed
Since we parted from our homeland
So who knows now
If the rice blossoms still bloom?
Longing for the homeland stirs within
Recalling the red of rice blossoms
Did you, my love of yore
Ignite fires by the riverbank?

4. Poem: MARCH RETURNS 2! - Hoàng Minh Tuấn
MARCH RETURNS 2!
Poem by Hoàng Minh Tuấn
March returns ...
red Rice blossoms line the riverbank,
I wait for you along the old path,
Bidding you farewell on that day in Mộc Miên,
The sky ablaze with the longing I bear!
March returns ...
sunlight sows golden seeds,
Falling gently as if to remind,
Through countless seasons, countless rice blossom blooms,
Where are you now for this overflowing longing?
March returns ...
I ask if you'll return here,
Do you still remember this place where I wait,
Do you still hold onto those fleeting affections,
The vows of old - red rice blossoms, you return!
This March ...
Mộc Miên paints the sky of home,
Summoning back the passions of days gone by,
Come back to fulfill the longing,
Return with me to light the flame of destiny!

5. Poem: SOARING TO FREEDOM - Phạm Quang Thu
SOARING TO FREEDOM
By Phạm Quang Thu
A woman leans against the small door frame,
Her eyes restless with longing for a distant land.
Suddenly melancholy in this March moment,
Red rice blossoms spread like crimson trails.
Blooms the color of blood, evoking melancholy,
The sunset then turns red like rice alone.
The entire garden and the distant horizon alike,
An evening devoid, ablaze in fiery hues.
The woman silently groans and pleads,
Every obstacle, life sees it through!
She bows to search towards the corner of the house,
Where half-bloomed March daisies linger.
Oh sorrow, no hands to hold!
She embraces sorrow, longing in the desolate evening.
Clouds and wind drift in the twilight sky,
That freedom suddenly turns into burning flames.
Oh Freedom, why are we confined!
In this dilapidated house with thoughts pondering.
The woman slowly rises from her spot,
Fitting dreamy wings then swiftly vanishing.
You leave behind countless stories,
Leaving behind memories of springtime.
And with a torn heart, you take flight,
Seeking happiness in the crimson dusk.
Surely, your love awaits there!

6. Poem: MELODY OF MARCH MEMORIES - Nguyễn Văn Chương
MELODY OF MARCH MEMORIES
Poem by NT Nguyễn Văn Chương - Bắc Ninh.
Indeed, in this very place,
The village gate of yesteryears stood with ancient rice trees.
The levee scratched by the March surge,
Blooms flickering like hanging lanterns.
March bewilders the poor and young,
With wrinkled eyes and pitiful feet, they pity the old.
They call it rice yet see only flowers,
Beautiful indeed, but hunger persists.
Heading to the fields encountering sweet grass,
Fragrant, yet unable to fill any bowl!
Blaming not the hair tied with peach blossoms,
Sweet potato cakes traded, piece by piece.
Only pity for the aging rice trees,
Still bursting with clusters of vibrant blooms.
Regret for the sweet grass in the fields,
Fragrant as ripe sugarcane buried in charcoal.
Now, sweetness alternating with bitterness,
Where to find her again, lamenting March...

7. Poem: FRAGILE MARCH - Hồng Giang
FRAGILE MARCH
By Hồng Giang
Oh dear, March, how fragile you are
Yet intense with the deep affection of mine
Rice blossoms fall, sun threads weave a curtain
Spring forever entangled in contemplation
Oh March, perhaps it's a fateful bond
Leaving verses incomplete, circling unfinished
Iron winds embrace delicate violet Ao Dai blooms
Promises suddenly lost in the past
Please remember, March, do not forget
Lest love's sin taint the early spring
Whose garden sees the pristine white of Grapefruit blooms
Clasping back the footsteps of yesteryears
Early morning dew on trembling branches
What anger, what resentment in this March
Concealing the 'fragrant scent' sent at parting
Tears fall faintly, moments of farewell
Oh March, ask if they know
The words of love...
Heart-wrenching...
Waiting for whom!

8. Poem: MEMORIES OF DISTANT ONES - Hoa Lư
MEMORIES OF DISTANT ONES
By Hoa Lư
My hometown, there, where the rice trees stand
March arrives, adorning in vibrant red
Nàng Bân's chill gently brushes lips
As the wind wistfully paints the sky in sunlight hues
My village there, early fields serene
Winding roads echo with children's laughter
Rice blossoms shed their fragrant breath
Birds chirp amidst the dusk's descent
March brings gentle sunlight to the fields and gardens
Someone in our lane sketches Ao Dai blooms
The pond's edge, adorned with ripened melons
Pumpkins and gourds together bear fruit
Evening in my homeland, patient twilight
Perhaps awaiting someone absorbed in distant fields
The kitchen's smoke carries the scent of rice and fish sauce
That is the taste of homegrown vegetables and salted fish
How long memories linger, still present here
The land of love overflowing in heart and mind
Half rural soul mixed with urban spirit
We bestow upon it our complete devotion

9. Poem: PEACEFUL MARCH - Hồ Viết Bình
PEACEFUL MARCH
By Hồ Viết Bình
Rice trees bloom brightly
Hearing deep within the banyan, village temple
Hidden in the subconscious dream
A homeland, a season of abundant gold
Far away echoes the cuckoo's call
So peaceful, they're gently calling to each other
Leisurely, plodding buffalo backs
The levee stretches smoothly, a hue of green
Hồ Viết Bình

10. THE SORROW OF RICE BLOSSOMS
Poem by Đào Mạnh Thạnh
He returns to the March nostalgia again
On the old path, amidst ivory bamboo groves
The rice trees still ablaze with fiery blooms
Petals faded, falling, painting the road red
March has come, the scent of grapefruit lingers
Purple blossoms carpeting the alley
A faint fragrance drifting in the wind
Eliciting waves of longing in his heart
March returns, dreams of red rice flowers
On the old path, where she eagerly awaited
A rosy bloom to blush her cheeks
Leaving him solemn amidst the fallen sunlight
He returns to the lingering, fleeting nostalgia
In the breeze, bitter tears softly shed
Quiet steps embrace deep-seated sorrow
A private sorrow in the desolate spring
March remains crimson, brimming with emotion
On the old path, petals fragmented and scattered
In the evening breeze echoing sighs
Wondering... does she remember or forget?

11. Poem: REMINISCENCE - Đặng Thị Bảo Tâm
REMINISCENCE.
By Đặng Thị Bảo Tâm
One day, revisiting,
The old harbor at dusk.
Is it someone's voice,
Echoing, never surplus.
A voice, singing a melody,
Dusk waving farewell.
The vastness of the sea,
Seems to express, a tragic tale.
Have you ever shed tears,
Farewelling youth's prime.
Or is it just the endearing love,
Remembered in a haze?
The love remembered, autumn sky,
You brought back to touch pearls.
Then, when love sleeps,
You put it in the wooden chest.
Wooden chest, shaped like a cone,
Leaves overlapping, dream red.
Following the trail of burning love,
Embracing deeply fervent breath.
One more day of longing,
You just heard the call.
Your name so soft,
Like an ancient legend.
You, still picking wood, love's color evening.
To place in the inclined heart,
Listening, thoughts revealed...

12. THE COLORFUL RICE FLOWERS
Poetry: Phạm Tửu
The couple of Quốc Thanh rice trees*
A hundred years casting shadows on the green village.
Early summer to late spring
Twilight sparkles, echoing days blend.
Expressing love - rice flowers aglow with red
Children await eagerly to catch the falling blooms!
A fleeting breeze passes by
Flower petals like stars scattered along the street.
Sparkling red on the water surface
Your footprints in the mud cling to the wings.
The stream carries the rice flower drift
Countless red boats float back to childhood!
Far from home! Home still in dreams
Still in children's questions:
When ???
Back to the homeland!!!

13. EMOTIONS OF THE RICE FLOWER SEASON
Poetry: Bùi Huy Đức
Once again, the rice flowers bloom
Red hues adorn the riverbank
Suddenly, I recall those days
When you were not yet wed
Strolling together down narrow paths
Boarding the ferry across the river
Your slender, petite figure
Amidst the vastness of the Red River
...
Perhaps twenty years have passed
You return to the bustling city
The old rice trees still stand
Still vibrant with their deep red hue
The waters of the Red River still crimson
Flowing silently as ever
Leaving one person quietly
Pondering amidst the vastness...

14. RICE FLOWERS
Poetry: Hong Vu
Would you return to the old street?
To visit the aged rice tree?
When each spring arrives
It blossoms brightly once more
It sounds faint in the wind
The song of the changing seasons
Each petal drifting gently
Falling on days of fading light
The childhood days are distant
Oh dear, do you remember?
Collecting red rice flowers
Stringing them into radiant clusters
Years have flown by in a blink
The aged rice tree remains the same
Only we are no longer young
Hair now touched by the hues of dusk
Yet the love remains intact
With every season of blossoms
The enchanting hues
Amidst nature, earth, and sky.

15. RIVERSIDE RICE FLOWERS
Poetry: Hang Nguyen
By the deserted riverside I sit
Gathering each red rice flower from spring to sky
Wearing the traditional attire, with wooden clogs beneath
Girls from the village, once young... Childhood memories!!!
Look, see the distant figure returning
Spreading joy despite our bustling lives
The fields brown like ivory moons
Blooming with red Rice flowers afar in the dense carpet.
The laughter echoes endlessly here
Sisters like betel nuts and areca nuts
For those who journey far, don't be melancholic
In the next season, the flowers will bloom, and we'll still hope.
Oh village girls... Remembered in the heart
Amidst our bustling lives, we long to meet you.

16. THE RICE FLOWER TREE
Poetry: Đặng Ngọc Vượng
Contemplating the rice flower tree, we learn
To endure hardships and difficulties in life
Born in a place of solitude
Finding our own means to survive
Oh nature, within the universe's embrace
Though indifferent to countless species
In life, who reflects upon whom?
We cannot endlessly rely on heaven's benevolence
Striving to seek nourishment from the roots
Stretching branches to embrace the void
Budding and blossoming with vigor
Accumulating sap to bloom flowers
Through the cold of winter, the warmth of March
The flowers bloom beautifully in radiant sunlight
Flaunting their colors to the world
Until the day of fruition, spreading joy through generations

17. SEEKING
Poetry: Lan Vương
I seek the rice flower in March's misty rain
Drizzling softly under the empty porch
Sparsely scattered, glowing red in silence
A season echoes, calling the distant ferry
I seek myself from yesterday
Hoping to meet the kindness of old
Bearing the sun and rain with resilience
Eyes wrinkled, feet marked by the earth
Footsteps return to sudden nostalgia
It waits while you are far away
I glimpse my reflection in the tranquil evening sky
To love you in the wilderness of my heart

18. THE RICE FLOWER ROMANCE
Poetry: Tony Bui
In March, the rice flower blooms red
A saga rich with human touch
A boy, a girl from the same village
Pledge their golden hearts to each other
A beautiful love as pure as gold
Yet who understands life's mysteries?
She hears celestial tales above
Longing for distant gold, she leaves her love
She departs, severing their fate
Two paths diverge, two hearts part
Sorrow fills the scene of parting
He prays for a miracle to tint time
His heart, steadfast like iron
Beats with a thousand memories
Her love forever lingers
Through endless years he seeks her along the miles
He wanders endlessly, aimlessly
Then one day, he ascends to heaven
Bowing, he beseeches the Jade Emperor
Granting him a reunion with his past love
The Jade Emperor commands the wind and rain
Seeking the maiden of yesteryear, so devoted
Divine lightning reveals a celestial plan
Transforming her into a flower
Love transcends the March threshold
Her soul, the fragrant rice flower
Love's memory forever haunting
The young man falls in purple sorrow
His soul weaves a tapestry of grief
Entwining with the red blossoms for eternity
A flower with five petals, like stars in the sky
As the love of two souls remains forever
The rice flower romance, profound
A sweet saga of eternal affection

19. THE RICE FLOWER
Poetry: Đình Khải
In March, the rice flowers bloom
Gazing at them, my heart stirs with memories
Remembering the playful days of youth
Picking rice flowers, exchanging smiles
Decades have passed
Yet surely, you still remember those distant times
By the riverbank, under sun or rain
Exchanging rice flowers, fulfilling each other's hearts
Where are you now?
Come back, to the red rice flowers by the riverbank

20. RICE FLOWER SEASON
Poetry: Tony Bui
Rice flowers linger within us,
Adding crimson to our melancholic verses!
Pink hues dye the evening sky,
Infusing sweet fragrance into our memories
Five-petaled flowers like stars,
Red through the years, flooding memories of you
Longing for you, each night,
My poetry, laden with sorrow, softens my heart
For years, a solitary, empty room,
Your love remains within me day after day
Life's brew, bittersweet,
The wine of love, unfinished, intoxicates a lifetime
Beautiful March, oh beloved,
A budding love shines in whose eyes?
The red of rice flowers stretches far,
The sweet scent clings to your hair
A lifetime of love, softly intoxicating,
Dying in the nightly dreams, salty and sweet
Who weaves love with spring?
For the rice flowers to adorn my longing heart
A heart carved with eternal love,
A kiss, a blissful eternity, unfading...
