1. Poem: A DEBT TO MOM - Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
A DEBT TO MOM
Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
I owe my mother all four seasons in full,
The evening sun's rays whisper on the threshold.
I owe my mother the lonely nights,
Who lifts the dreams when skies turn and winds blow.
I owe Mom so many trivial things,
When Mom is sad or tired, sick or ailing,
I'm not there, yet Mom has no sorrow,
I'm sorry! A thousand times, I'm sorry!!!
A daughter's body follows her husband, every return is hasty,
Before asking, it's already noon, too late for questions,
I silently wish to return to the past,
Back to Mom, being a filial child...
Now I owe Mom the entire Spring tenderly,
Summer filled with countless storms,
Autumn returns with overwhelming nostalgia,
Winter arrives with each desolate night...
In a distant place, day and night, I keep vigil,
Loving Mom dearly, yet not knowing how,
All my life, I have only one wish,
That Mom is healthy and peaceful with descendants.

2. MY MOTHER - Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
MY MOTHER
Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
Shouldering life's burden, frail shoulders endure
Alone, my mother carries the weight of sun and rain
My mother toils from dawn till dusk
Morning sees the fields... vegetables for market in the afternoon
Through storms, floods, and torrents
Her shoulders bear countless burdens, wavering but strong
The sky obscured, mist blankets the fields
Hurriedly she rises... shouldering worries and cares
My mother's life, a struggle against wind and rain
Adding to the load, countless worries for her children
She loved me since I was a sapling
Now grown, I stand tall, full of vigor
Countless storms and rains
Her feet trace paths in and out, entrances and exits
Sweat, tears flow ceaselessly
Mixed with mud, sweet for her child
A life of simplicity, worries abound
Simple, yet complete attire everywhere
Now gray hair, skin weathered
Lullabies from yesteryears echo in my heart
Lullabies linger across the land
A hundred affections, a thousand memories forever engraved

3. Poem: A GIFT FOR MOM ON OCTOBER 20 - Hoàng Minh Tuấn
A GIFT FOR MOM ON OCTOBER 20
Hoàng Minh Tuấn
October sky remains serene
Who brings the longing to the countryside
Fall still lingers, reluctant to depart
Winter peaks, what busyness awaits before its arrival
Homeland with ripe golden fields
The fragrance of new straw gently carried by the breeze
The dyke is filled with children's playful laughter
Whose kite dances freely amidst the sky
Morning dew gently sways
Glistening with myriad hues in the morning sun
Oh mother, eleven years have passed
Those eleven years, my longing has never ceased
October, beautiful autumn is intoxicating
Women's day eagerly awaits your return
Eleven years, mother, you've been away
Eleven times, a gift from me, the scent of incense
I send there my memories and love
Wishing mother peace in the beyond
Eleven years, never forgotten
The more I long, the more I remember, the farther apart
I send mother a poem
A gift for women's day... mother awaits... mother hopes
Sending along with it my whole heart
Eleven years always waiting, remembering you
Mother, please accept it
Twenty months, ten gifts, that's all I have!

4. Poem: REMEMBRANCE - Nghi Lâm
REMEMBRANCE
Poet: Nghi Lâm
Today, fondly remembering dear mother
Laying fruits and flowers upon the altar
Simple meals, plain and heartfelt
A tearful incense stick, I light with blurry eyes.
Hoping for your visible spirit
To acknowledge my filial piety, forever remembered
Though you're distant in the mortal realm
Forever in my dreams, the long night continues.
In childhood's innocence
You lovingly carried me, always in your arms
Rocking me gently into a deep slumber
Even when unwell, your care was constant.
In chilly rain and biting cold
You silently endured hardship, trading quietly
Raising me to be upright and rounded
Your joy when I succeeded in my studies.
Today, I miss you dearly
In this October month, myriad thoughts arise
Where is the graceful figure of mother
For me to offer what little I have!
Compassion for you in desolation
Gazing at your image, tears fall heavily
Delicious meals for your commemoration
Let mother and father come home to dine sincerely,
So that I may feel the warmth
Of the mother's love that nurtured the future
That has led to this day
Grown, fulfilled on the pinnacle of glory!

5. Poem: MELODY OF MOTHER - Hoàng Chẩm
MELODY OF MOTHER
Hoàng Chẩm
Early morning, carrying sunlight, Mother returns
With burdens on her back, facing countless hardships
For her child, without a word of complaint
Through rain, mist, and countless footsteps
In the midst of toil, she wraps herself
Through life's storms, sacrificing countless times
From breastfeeding to forming a figure
The sweet scent of milk sways in the poverty-stricken stream
Years pass, Mother bears the burden
Raising her child, crossing the final streams and valleys
Rowing through waves, overcoming hardships
She returns to nurture and spread love harmoniously
Now, Mother's hair is veiled in smoke
The marks on her face reveal the walls of love
Passing by... Mother's Life Has Turned
The vast white clouds bring so much warmth

6. HOMESICK FOR MOM - Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
HOMESICK FOR MOM
Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
Mother's day tightens the pain of longing
Missing dear Mom, I ponder and yearn
Remembering moments when the wind blew, Mom lay awake
I wasn't there to ease her discomfort...
Mom always said tears flow against the current
'Take care of your own life,' she said
Loving her grandchildren! Mom silently sacrifices
The nurturing grace, mountains and rivers cannot match Mom...
Bearing the weight of labor pain, love as vast as the sea
Mom's hair turns silver, I become a grandparent
Still hoping... for one chance to return
Beside dear Mom, I'll be a good child...
Mother's day, mine and my grandchildren's
Hoping dear Mom always stays strong, lives long
Absent grandchildren! Please, Mom, don't worry
In that distant place! Your grandchildren always miss you!!!

7. Poem: WHERE IS HAPPINESS FAR AWAY… - Nguyễn Thị Thanh Tâm
WHERE IS HAPPINESS FAR AWAY…
Nguyễn Thị Thanh Tâm
Mother dear! I long to be protected
To be embraced by you in your gentle arms
To listen softly to each breath
Embedded in my heart for a lifetime
I engrave the teachings you imparted
To love, to be compassionate, and forgiving
You took my hand and molded each letter
Teaching me to love everyone
I yearn to hear your voice singing by the cradle
My soul lightens amidst life's chaos
Seeking peace amidst the tumult of life
Without hustle, deceit, or betrayal
Abandoning all the gains and losses, more and less
Seeking you to caress your hair
To be loved by you, enveloped in your arms
Like the days when I was still a child
I seek to return to you to weave dreams
To find peace amidst the ebb and flow of life
So that tomorrow I have many aspirations
In the warmth of you, dear mother!

8. Poem: THE EGRET AND MOTHER - Hồng Ngoãn
TENDER LOVE: MOTHER AND THE EGRET
Hồng Ngoãn
WINGS soar endlessly, knowing no fatigue
EGRET cares for its offspring, amidst its slender frame
BUNDLED with every wind and cloud
SUNSHINE pours like fire, yet it never complains
ACCOMPANIED through myriad hardships
COLD RAIN, it knows no fear
MOTHER gives everything
I silently etch deep in my heart
AMIDST mist and wind, crossing rivers and mountains
ALL night, enduring freezing cold
IN all directions, seeking food and shelter
MOTHER'S spring... hearing her child's laughter
WIND, cease your blowing, cease now
DEW, stop falling, don't wet my mother's clothes
THE EGRET, IN SUN AND RAIN
MY MOTHER THROUGH ALL FOUR SEASONS OF WIND AND MIST.

9. Poem: MOTHER'S LIFE - Nguyễn Thị Hồng Hạnh
MOTHER'S LIFE
Nguyễn Thị Hồng Hạnh
Since infancy, in the cradle's embrace,
I've heard mother sing words of sorrow.
Married at thirteen,
Mother's slender shoulders bear the burden of the husband's family.
With elderly parents and numerous children,
Mother cares for them wholeheartedly.
From dawn till dusk, toilsome and weary,
Bearing burdens, crossing rivers on boats.
For the husband to indulge,
Mother's life has but one wish, peace.
Yearning to surpass the green bamboo grove,
To a spacious place where mother reserves a part for her child.
Now grown, I see mother's stooped back,
Weary from the passage of time.
A lifetime of hardship and toil,
Mother's body knows no respite.
Mother, I know countless times,
When I leave, you silently follow.
A lifetime of hunger and poverty,
Yet mother's heart sows seeds of love.

10. Poem: OH MOTHER... TOMORROW IS 20.10 - Trần Hải Lộc
OH MOTHER... TOMORROW IS 20.10
Trần Hải Lộc
October comes, oh mother, how I miss you
The land is adorned with flowers and vibrant
As the world spins with the hustle of sisters
Where can I find the shadow of my dear mother
Oh dear mother, I cherish endlessly your hardships
A lifetime devoted tirelessly to husband and child
Your steps are slow, your shoulders burdened
Knowing your child is well, you bear no sorrow
Then on cold nights with pouring rain and biting winds
You embraced me, sharing the warmth of your heart
Days I fell ill, seeing you worried endlessly
Wiping my tears, your eyes filled with concern
I love you, mother, in times of both hunger and plenty
Forfeiting your portion for your child, you accepted yams and taro
Until now, when the era of support has passed
Where are you, mother? Full and warm, yet not returning...
October has arrived, both in the city and the countryside
Abloom with flowers, joyous and bustling
Only missing mother... yearning for the toiling one
Despite not yet healed, dare I imagine there are flowers.
Last night, I dreamt of your return, mother
By my side with grandchildren, you gazed lovingly
In your graceful ao dai, vibrant and beautiful
Awakening suddenly... oh mother, how I miss you!

11. Poem: A LIFETIME - Trịnh Thanh Hằng
A Lifetime
by Trịnh Thanh Hằng
A lifetime carrying burdens untold
Owing Mother the season of falling leaves
No longer green, the sea of life
Fleeting, the silver hair recedes with time
A lifetime burdened with love's script
For descendants, lessons sternly inscribed
Sweat drips in the midday sun
The hunched shoulders echo the sound of parting
A lifetime burdened by the open sea
Amidst raging winds, the anchor holds fast
Small feet stand firm against the tide
Weathering storms that have long since passed
A lifetime burdened with vagaries
Becoming father, mother, fate jests
Time has taken too much
Now, the lone heron's wings wear thin
A lifetime burdened by mountains and hills
The mirrored steps, etched in memory
Reflecting, what do we see?
Startled, as Mother's celestial shadow fades
A lifetime burdened with duty and grace
Heaven's grace, earthly ties borne by offspring
Yearning to be a lost breeze
Forever wandering, carrying Her along

12. Poem: MY MOTHER - by Nguyen Truong
MY MOTHER
by Nguyen Truong
My mother, oh woman of valor
A heroine from a famed countryside
Diligently, tirelessly taking on all roles
Raising children, laboring for the nation's pride.
With peace restored, to the forests and seas
She tended to meals, nurturing minds to grow
Hoping her children's lives would transpose
Seeing a glimmer, she departs contented!
Unified now, our nation stands firm
Her children wish her eternal bliss
Protecting grandchildren, ensuring their triumph
Blessings of wealth, longevity, and family unity!

13. Poem: GRATITUDE TO MOTHER. - Ha Nguyen
GRATITUDE TO MOTHER
Ha Nguyen
For years it remains the same
Early rises, late nights
Enduring the scorching summer sun
The bone-chilling cold of winter days
On the 8th of March
Mother cushions her stomach with a few pieces of cassava
Carefully saved from the summer sun
Mother welcomes the rain to drench her child's life.
Time has worn away
Taking mother's youth to a distant place
Lines etched deeply around her eyes
I weep, blaming myself for being so indifferent.
Mother always reminded me to study diligently
Not to live like her, forever bound to the fields of cassava and taro
Knowledge will lead you to vast horizons
I spread my wings freely.
All rivers
Flow into the vast ocean
Mother hopes
No matter where you are, don't forget your homeland.
Now that I'm grown
I always remember mother's advice
But there's one thing that fills me with regret
Too few times have I said I love you, mother...
Thank you, mother, for sacrificing your whole life for me!

14. Poem: MY LOVE FOR MOTHER MOST - Đinh Thị Hiển
I LOVE YOU MOST, MOM
Đinh Thị Hiển
Long ago, I stopped calling you, Mom
For you ascended to heaven with Sister Hằng Nga
There, amidst moonlight's glow
I reckon you're happy, no more sorrow
Though today you're no longer by my side
You're still the dearest to me in this earthly ride
I remain your obedient child
So you never have to feel any chide
Tonight, the moon shines bright and round
I suppose you and Sister Hằng are watching us abound
Your children and grandchildren now complete
Gathering the endearing traits of yours and ours, so sweet
I recount tales of you to our descendants
They laugh joyfully, their smiles so resplendent
Then they beg me to continue, 'Grandma, tell us more!'
I pause, overwhelmed by memories galore...
I want to narrate... endlessly, endlessly so
Never exhausting the tales of long ago
A lifetime of toil under sun's scorch and rain's pour
Providing for us, clothing us, and teaching us more
We, your children and grandchildren, fulfill your dreams
May you rest content, dear Mom!
I wish for you eternal radiance gleams
With Sister Hằng Nga, shining bright and calm.

15. Poem: A Mother's Love! - Dương Quốc Nam
A MOTHER'S LOVE!
Dương Quốc Nam
A mother's love, deep and profound,
Simple yet sacred, a true blessing found.
No task compares to her selfless devotion,
For her child, she bears all sorrows, no commotion.
Her virtues she shares, boundlessly,
To those in need, with love, tenderly.
She remains an exemplary guide,
Gentle, compassionate, in her stride.
Now she returns to earth and sky,
Joyous with ancestors, bidding life goodbye.
The love of mother, child, and grandchild, engraved,
To live beautifully, fulfilling all she craved.

16. Poem: LOVE FOR MY DEAR MOTHER - Nguyễn Đình Cường.
LOVE FOR MY DEAR MOTHER
Nguyễn Đình Cường
The stork bears the weight of rain,
Adding storms, yet it bears no disdain.
Carrying burdens, a lifelong feat,
Buying burdens, it never cheats.
Bent under the weight of complexities,
For family bliss, it endures adversities.
Saddened loads exchanged for smiles bright,
For the happiness of loved ones, it fights.
Mother is no longer on earth's plane,
The stork reminds me, gratitude to retain!

17. Poem: O MOTHER! - Nguyễn Đức Phúc
O MOTHER!
Nguyễn Đức Phúc
Life burdens your shoulders heavily,
Barefooted, imprinted with morning dew, afternoon sun.
Gazing at your wandering silhouette,
Mother bears countless acts of love on her shoulders.
You are the mother of our homeland,
Showering us with overflowing affection.
You are the Vietnamese mother,
Worthy of the eight golden words bestowed by Uncle Ho.
Throughout life, you endure all hardships,
We are forever proud of you, O MOTHER!.

18. Poem: OH MOTHER !!!!! I LOVE YOU - Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam
OH MOTHER ! I LOVE YOU
Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam
Remembering the days when I lay with you,
Hearing your lullabies by my cradle,
The first words I uttered were calling for you,
Your joyous tears greeted my cries.
You forget the toilsome days and nights,
Nurturing me, wishing for my growth,
Oh mother, through all struggles and hardships,
You bring forth happiness to me.
There were nights you feared my wakefulness,
Gently sitting by me in silence,
Even now, when I am grown,
I yearn to rest within your embrace.
I long to be loved by you as in my infancy,
I still crave to hear your 'I love you',
Do you know, mother, my hundredfold wishes?
I hope for more of your affection.
But there's one thing I've held back,
Never have I uttered the words 'I LOVE YOU, MOTHER'.

19. Poem: MOTHER'S DEBT OF UNDERSTANDING - Tony Bui
MOTHER'S DEBT OF UNDERSTANDING
Tony Bui
I owe my mother my youthful days,
Owe her the days she carried me in her arms,
Now the years are full and overflowing,
My mother shivers in cold winter days.
My mother's life is a lifetime of hardships,
Quietly nurturing me with burdens on her shoulders,
Her deeds are countless,
She tirelessly cooks meals day and night.
I still owe her a complete understanding,
Making my mother gradually wither each passing year,
I traveled far away with many wasted days,
Leaving my mother waiting in the twilight.
I still remember her wise words,
Mother advises me on life's language,
She teaches me manners with everyone,
Despite hardship, always smiling and cheerful.
I've grown up, my mother smiles gently,
Still every day she cares for father with love,
Now I return under the house's eaves,
My mother goes far away, feeling relieved and light.
I apologize a thousand times, I'm sorry, Mother,
Forgive your foolish child,
Seeing your picture, hastily writing this poem,
I offer my mother a fragrant incense....

20. Poem: MOTHER - Đào Mạnh Thạnh
MOTHER
Đào Mạnh Thạnh
Forever I write verses about mother
A lifetime, I cannot forget
There sits mother, frail and slender
Lines of worry etched in her eyes
For us, mother shoulders all burdens
To keep husband safe from distant enemies
Her frail shoulders bear all sorrows
Faded silver threads endure rain and sun
Many sleepless nights, mother's thin frame
Anxieties always weigh heavily
Hoping life would be more abundant
Giving her all, mother bears the strain
O gentle mother, your radiant glow
Ever illuminates the path we tread
Your maternal grace forever etched
I remember well your tight embrace...
