Đen Vâu, whose real name is Nguyễn Đức Cường, was born in 1989 in Hạ Long, Quảng Ninh. Since high school, Đen Vâu has been introduced to rap coincidentally. He often wrote rap songs in notebooks, sang, and participated in rap performances at school. He had to drop out of school after completing high school due to difficult economic circumstances.
Đen Vâu worked as a beach cleaner in Hạ Long City for 7 years. During this time, he also quit his job without pay to support his younger brother in opening a café to make a living.
