I. Purpose and requirements of summary biography
1. Purpose
- Summary biography is a document providing objective, truthful information about the basic aspects of an individual's life and career.
- The purpose of summary biography is to introduce readers, listeners to the life, career, and contributions of the person being discussed. Additionally, understanding the biography of writers, poets, we will have a better basis to understand their works.
2. Requirements
The summary biography must be accurate, truthful, concise, but must be able to outline the typical features of the life and career of the person being introduced.
II. Writing a summary biography
1. Select documents to write a summary biography

a. The summary has recounted the main content of the biography of Luong The Vinh: personal background, main activities, and contributions to the country.
b. Specific, accurate, truthful, and typical of the selected documents:
- The information provided ensures objectivity, accuracy: year of birth, milestones in life, very clear quotations from scholar Le Quy Don.
- The writing is concise, the data provided is very clear and has a logical content structure ensuring the provision of the most concise and fundamental information about Luong The Vinh.

Nam Cao
(1915 - 1951)
Nam Cao was born Tran Huu Tri. He was born in 1915 into a farmer family in Dai Hoang village, Cao Da commune, Nam Sang district, Li Nhan prefecture, Ha Nam province (now belongs to Hoa Hau commune, Li Nhan district, Ha Nam province).
Nam Cao was the only son in a large family who received a decent education. After finishing primary school, Nam Cao went to Saigon to work for a tailor and started writing literature. Then he got sick and returned to his hometown. For a while, Nam Cao taught at a private school in Hanoi. When the Japanese invaded Indochina, his school had to close. Nam Cao became unemployed and turned to writing. In 1943, he joined the cultural rescue association organized and led by the Communist Party. When the resistance war broke out (12 - 1946), Nam Cao went to work in propaganda in Ha Nam province. From 1947 onwards, he went to Viet Bac to continue writing newspapers, propaganda for the resistance. In 1950, he participated in the Border campaign. In November 1951, Nam Cao sacrificed when he was on a mission behind enemy lines.
Before the August Revolution, Nam Cao's works revolved around the lives of poor intellectual peasants and poor farmers. Regardless of the theme, his works also showed the poignant pain before the degradation of human morality, the destruction of human nature. Through his works, Nam Cao criticized the contemporary inhumane society. After the August Revolution, he wrote some works: Doi Mat, O Rung, Chuyen Bien Gioi... those were valuable works of revolutionary prose at that time.
In the modern prose of our country, Nam Cao is a talented writer with a unique style. He has contributed significantly to the renovation of Vietnamese prose towards modernization.

Summary biography: Ho Chi Minh
- Ho Chi Minh (1890 – 1969), birth name Nguyen Sinh Cung; village Kim Lien (Sen village), commune Kim Lien, district Nam Dan, Nghe An province.
- In his early years, He came from a patriotic Confucian family, his father was the deputy magistrate Nguyen Sinh Sac. Before joining the revolutionary activities, He studied Han script, then studied at Hue National School, taught at Duc Thanh school (Phan Thiet).
- On June 5, 1911, he left to find a way to save the country.
- In 1919, he sent a petition of the Annam people to the Versailles Conference, signed as Nguyen Ai Quoc.
- In 1920, he attended the Tours Congress and was one of the founders of the French Communist Party.
- From 1923 – 1941: mainly active in China, the Soviet Union, Thailand.
- In 1941, he returned home to lead the revolutionary movement. After the successful August Revolution 1945, he was elected as the president and led the revolutionary movement to glorious victories.
- On September 2, 1969, Ho Chi Minh passed away.
