If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, consider visiting Da Lat to experience the flower festival. For nature enthusiasts, the white mustard fields of Moc Chau or the sunny and windy region of Ninh Thuan are excellent choices. And if you love adventure, Sapa will be your destination. Alternatively, if you're a beach lover, plan a trip to Nha Trang in December.
1. Da Lat
The hottest destination in December is undoubtedly Da Lat. The 6th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2015, themed 'Da Lat – Myriad Colors of Flowers,' will take place from December 29, 2015, to January 3, 2016, in the city of Da Lat, Lam Dong province.

This national and international-scale cultural and tourism event is held every two years to promote Da Lat as a famous tourist and resort city. It also aims to recognize and honor flower growers and the value of Da Lat flowers to friends both domestically and internationally. With a packed schedule of activities and large-scale organization, you certainly can't miss this unique flower festival.

2. Ninh Thuan
The picturesque land of Ninh Thuan, bathed in sunlight and gentle breezes, never fails to enchant travelers with its beautiful landscapes such as Vinh Hy Bay, Binh Son – Ninh Chu Beach, Binh Tien Beach, and Ca Na. These renowned destinations attract many visitors for sightseeing and relaxation, all exuding a pristine, untouched charm minimally affected by tourism activities.

If you only have a day to spend in Ninh Thuan, you can completely explore the beauty of the land and its people through famous spots in Phan Rang – Thap Cham city, such as Poklong Garai Tower, lush grape gardens, Bau Truc pottery village, Nam Cuong sand dunes, and the crystal-clear Ninh Chu sea.

3. Nha Trang
On November 15, Vietnam Airlines inaugurated a new flight route from Nha Trang to Hai Phong. A few days earlier, Vietravel, through VASCO, also began selling tickets for the Can Tho – Nha Trang route. Additionally, on December 15, Jetstar commenced operations on the Vinh – Nha Trang flight route. Nha Trang is becoming a coastal city that attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists. With its long stretch of white sandy beaches, numerous small islands, and a variety of seafood specialties, Nha Trang has become an enchanting destination for travelers.

Furthermore, on December 15, Jetstar began operating the Vinh – Nha Trang flight route. Nha Trang is increasingly becoming a coastal city that draws a diverse array of tourists both from within and outside the country. With its expansive stretch of white sandy shores, numerous small islands scattered around, and a wealth of seafood delicacies, Nha Trang has evolved into a captivating destination for visitors.

4. Moc Chau
By the end of November, Moc Chau's mustard flowers had started to bloom in a few places. However, it's only in early December that Moc Chau truly comes alive with the white brilliance of mustard flowers. Similar to Ha Giang's buckwheat triangle, mustard flowers cover the hillsides in Moc Chau, creating vast, picturesque fields resembling a painting of a lush green plateau.

December is also an ideal time for cloud chasing in Pha Luong. Spending a night at a stilt house in Ban Ang, visiting the Dai Yem waterfall, capturing photos in the white mustard flower fields, or exploring the Son Moc Huong cave are experiences you must try when traveling to Moc Chau.

5. Sapa
If all goes as planned, the Fansipan cable car project in Sapa will be completed and operational this December. The cable car is estimated to be 6,325 meters long (one of the longest cable car routes in the world), with a height difference between the departure and arrival stations of 1,410 meters (the largest in the world). This is also the first 3-rope cable car system in Asia with the most complete rescue solution. In any situation, the cable car can still run to safely transport passengers to the station.

It is expected that after the cable car route is operational, the number of tourists visiting Sapa will increase by 30% – 40% per year. This will be Sapa's main tourism product in the coming years. The cable car will help visitors shorten the time to conquer Fansipan from 2 days to just 15 minutes and provide breathtaking views from above.
