LQĐ Crab & Snail Bun Rieu is one of those places that comes to mind immediately when you want to go eat bun rieu with friends. A bun restaurant near the sidewalk of Tang Bat Ho Street, like other sidewalk eateries, this one has a quite cramped space, very difficult to find parking space. If you come on a busy day, there's no place to park, you'll have to reluctantly leave. The broth is quite tasty, with just the right amount of sourness. The most popular dish here is the bun rieu with pork leg and tofu, the tofu pieces are cut just right and fried evenly golden on all sides, the pork leg is quite delicious and crispy.
The bowl of bun at LQĐ Crab & Snail Bun Rieu is quite large, with the noodles placed at the bottom followed by fried tofu and ripe red tomatoes, all soaked in the broth with brown crab bricks floating on top. The broth is the best part of the bun rieu here, it's clear but not too light, slightly fatty with a sweet flavor of crab. For those who are not used to eating a lot of spices, they may find the bowl of bun a bit spicy and salty, but the owner is very thoughtful to prepare small shredded water spinach for guests to add to their bowl, along with a plate of raw vegetables and a few pieces of fried dough sticks to fill the stomach.
