1. The Broken Coast
Respawn may have removed Skull Town and Thunderdome landing points from Kings Canyon in Season 5, but that doesn't mean the remaining features in this map comeback aren't worth checking out.
The Broken Coast emerges as a new focal point, and nearby lies Salvage. Both these locations remain enticing for any Apex player seeking lucrative loot. High-tier loot can be discovered throughout these areas, with a two-way zip line connecting Salvage to the Gauntlet on the opposite side of the shattered coastline. Beneath it all lies a network of tunnels, harboring secret bunkers. Much like Skull Town and Thunderdome in previous seasons, we hope this devastated coastal area becomes a new hotspot this season.
2. Offshore Rig
The newly introduced Offshore Rig is another intriguing spot in Season 5. It's buried in the northeast corner of Kings Canyon, connecting to Relay, Capacitor (also new), and Swamps through roads, tunnels, and bunkers.
Several locations here boast the rarest loot in the game, including a hidden spot on suspended scaffolding. Make sure to sweep the entire area clean once you've eliminated any daring foes trailing you here.
Similar to The Broken Coast, Offshore Rig is one of the areas that will attract many adversaries. Its high-tier loot is the reason, and naturally, people love exploring new regions. The excitement will wane as Season 5 progresses.
3. Artillery
Kings Canyon sees plenty of novelties in Season 5, but some things remain unchanged. Situated west of Relay, Artillery is known for its 2 massive warehouses and buildings brimming with loot. However, this expansive loot spot has a few drawbacks, with the most significant being its location right on the map's edge, requiring time to catch up if it's on the opposite end.
Nevertheless, if you're willing to embark on cross-country journeys to find that elusive ring, Artillery ranks among the top 5 prime drop spots in Season 5 without a doubt. Familiarity, a plethora of rare spoils, and accessibility to multiple key areas—it has it all.
4. Market
Market is a gathering point for many Apex Legends players on the map, offering numerous opportunities for fantastic loot. Unlike Artillery, you'll encounter multiple rival squads here, perhaps right after touching down.
Of course, that's not a bad thing. Many high-level Apex Legends players aim for a few kills right from the first minute in the game, and Market is the perfect place for that. The only practical drawback for this extensive area is the abundance of average-tier loot.
Overlooking that, Market remains an excellent landing spot. Even better if you know you're heading to the central POI to prepare in advance. Caustic is a menace here with traps strategically placed in adjacent rooms. Loba can snatch everything from the midst of the area. Both characters are perfect choices for this locale.
5. Reclaimed Forest
Reclaimed Forest, a segment of the original map, has undergone some changes only from players traversing World's Edge. There are new areas to explore, accompanied by a few fresh challenges to conquer.
The most significant alteration is the entrance to Singh Labs. It has officially become a noteworthy location in the new season. Additionally, Reclaimed Forest and its surroundings remain as usual, prime landing and loot spots with numerous items and multiple escape routes.
You can also utilize hotkeys in Apex Legends for smoother operations and more straightforward control, optimizing your character's movements in the battlefield.
Here are 5 of the best places to land and gear up on the Kings Canyon map in Apex Legends Season 5. However, if you're a newcomer, it's advisable to learn How to Play Apex Legends first to get familiar before engaging in these hotspots.
