1. Treating Uterine Fibroids with Queen's Lace
Queen's Lace, long hailed as a valuable remedy, has been traditionally used in our community to treat various women's ailments. Recent scientific studies have shed light on the numerous beneficial properties of Queen's Lace in supporting the treatment of conditions such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and prostate gland fibroids.
Queen's Lace (Crilum latifolium L.), belonging to the amaryllis family, is a herbaceous plant resembling the White Lily. It has a diameter of 10-16cm, with overlapping leaves forming a pseudo stem approximately 8-15cm long. The leaves, resembling strips, are thin, slightly curved, 70-120cm long, and 3-9cm wide, with parallel veins. Queen's Lace is abundant in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, thriving in the southern climate of our country. The used part is the leaves, either fresh or dried, with some people cutting them small, drying them, and storing for later use. Since 1983, studies on Queen's Lace have revealed approximately 32 types of alkaloids, some of which exhibit anti-tumor effects, including crinafolin, crinafolidin, licorin, and epoxyambellin, acting on T-lymphocyte cells. It also possesses antibacterial properties such as hamayne (bulbispenmin, flavonoid, demethylcrinamin). Besides alkaloids, it contains volatile compounds, aldehydes, organic acids, terpenes, glucan A, glucan B. According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram, in folk medicine, a decoction of Queen's Lace leaves is used to treat uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and prostate gland fibroids.
How to use:
- Consume a decoction of 3 fresh Queen's Lace leaves, cut into small pieces of 1-2 cm, dried until slightly yellowish in color, for 7 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day break. Repeat this cycle for a total of 3 rounds, taking 7 leaves each time, resulting in 63 leaves. Allow a 7-day break between two cycles.

2. Dandelion Plant
Many herbal researchers believe that poor liver function can slow down the elimination of excess hormones that can stimulate fibroid growth. Dandelion aids in detoxifying the liver and releasing excess estrogen from the body.
- Boil 10g of dandelion root in 900ml water.
- Simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let it sit for another 15 minutes before straining.
- Drink dandelion tea three times a day for at least 3 months, and you'll notice a significant improvement in your condition.

3. Treating Uterine Fibroids with Milk Thistle Plant
The milk thistle plant is a species native to Europe and was first introduced to North America by the early colonists. It is currently found across the eastern United States, California, South America, Africa, Australia, and Asia. The name 'milk thistle' is derived from the resin of the plant that flows like milk from the leaves when they are broken. All parts above ground and the seeds are used for medicinal purposes. Silymarin is the main active ingredient in the milk thistle plant, known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and blood sugar-lowering properties. The seeds of the milk thistle plant can protect liver cells from harmful chemicals and toxins.
Using this herbal remedy helps metabolize and eliminate excess estrogen from the body. Estrogen, a reproductive hormone, stimulates cells to release growth-promoting catalysts, leading to increased growth of uterine fibroids. If you have uterine fibroids, try taking 10–25 drops of milk thistle tincture three times a day continuously for 3–4 months.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is known as one of the invaluable 'miracle cures' for reducing uterine fibroid symptoms, helping eliminate toxins from the body and promoting better fat reduction. Although not officially endorsed by scientists, many believe that apple cider vinegar can shrink the size of uterine fibroids.
- Add 1 teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar to a glass of water.
- You can add 1 tablespoon of honey or natural sweeteners to enhance the taste.
- Drink this water daily, gradually increasing the amount of apple cider vinegar to 1 or 2 tablespoons diluted in water.

5. Addressing Uterine Fibroids with Castor Oil
Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid with anti-inflammatory properties. The following remedy for treating uterine fibroids can reduce fibroids and alleviate pain:
- Place a thin flannel cloth soaked in castor oil on the abdomen and cover it with a plastic wrap (similar to food wrap).
- Place a hot water bottle or hot water bag on the abdomen and wrap it with an old cloth.
- Leave it like that for about an hour and then remove.
- Repeat this process 3-4 times a week. It's best to do this for at least 1 month or until you notice an improvement in your condition.
This method stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems, enhancing lymph cells (immune cells) to eliminate disease-causing toxins from the body. Many health experts believe that the accumulation of these toxins is the main cause of the formation and growth of uterine fibroids.
Note: Do not use this method during menstruation or if you are trying to conceive.
