Arena of Valor is becoming easier to play with changes to the map, timing of buffs, Dragon, Dark Slayer, and item purchases, making the game more convenient and accessible. Additionally, some heroes have been adjusted by the game developers, turning them from super difficult to universally usable national heroes.

Murad
For newcomers to the gaming realm, Murad undoubtedly stands out as a vexing, elusive hero, endowed with a plethora of high-quality skins. However, for those who have experienced Murad in the early seasons, they would acknowledge him as a jungle powerhouse, capable of wiping out entire teams with just one ultimate ability. Of course, mastering this hero is no easy feat.
Back then, players had to constantly farm minions and monsters and stack up four times to unlock his ultimate ability. Thus, when playing Murad, gamers often found themselves shouting themselves hoarse, reminding their team to leave resources for them. If teammates failed to grasp this concept and consumed all the resources, including the blue buff, Murad would be left with only his basic abilities, unable to unleash the game-changing ultimate ability. Especially when under pressure, Murad became virtually useless.

Currently, playing Murad has become much easier, requiring only 35 - 40% cooldown reduction to comfortably spam his ultimate ability. If Murad is in the jungle, it becomes even easier as he gains an additional 20% cooldown reduction from the blue buff. However, in terms of damage output, he's not as terrifying as before, especially since his ultimate no longer has the ability to lifesteal. This is one of the adjustments that many feel regretful about for this Arena of Valor hero.
Ryoma
Ryoma has now become a staple hero in Arena of Valor, widely utilized by gamers across various platforms such as social media, ranked matches, and tournaments. Describing Ryoma as difficult to play might be inaccurate, as compared to heroes like Florentino or Zata, he's much simpler. However, labeling Ryoma as easy to play would also be incorrect, given that his skill set requires strategic precision.
Compared to Ryoma's early days in the Endless Abyss, the current version of Ryoma is much easier to handle. Gone are the days when players had to spend money on gems just to have a chance at obtaining this hero. Nowadays, all you need is 25k gold, which would have cost around 2-3 million VND in 2017.

Setting aside economic concerns, during its initial release, mistiming Ryoma's skills or missing his ultimate meant facing substantial risks. It's akin to traversing a lane or the jungle without lifesteal gems and failing to land the ultimate on enemy heroes, leaving you with no choice but to retreat for recovery, unlike now, where you can use Divine Intervention twice. Back then, players didn't have reduced cooldown for skill 2 against marked targets, nor did they have the luxury of regenerating health by using skill 2 on minions as they do now.
After several adjustments, Ryoma can now manipulate minions, monsters, and heroes to engage and disengage safely. Currently, the emergence of the semi-tank Ryoma build, coupled with the readiness to play for the late game instead of requiring high skill to play full damage as before, is quite reasonable and effective for this hero.
Maloch
It's undeniable that despite Maloch's tanky nature, his damage output can make Assassins, Mages, and even Marksmen feel inadequate. He inflicts massive standard damage, effortlessly dealing 3-4k damage in an area, even forcing Warriors to flinch.
That's the present-day Maloch after being buffed numerous times by Garena. If you recall the time when Maloch could only rely on his first skill to stack his passive, this hero was truly challenging to play. Not to mention that back then, both his first and third skills could be interrupted if crowd-controlled. It wasn't as simple as wanting to use Devastation whenever you pleased.

Currently, Maloch can effortlessly stack his passive with just his second skill, optimizing damage output right from the first strike. Furthermore, his ultimate's damage is nothing to scoff at. Therefore, with the amount of team-oriented damage he brings, Mytour still prefers taking Maloch to the support position rather than the lane. At this point, he can move freely, provide support, and engage in fights whenever the team needs him.
In this 2023 S3 season, Maloch remains a solid support, especially when facing off against heroes like Helen, Chaugnar, and Taara. Of course, if paired with heroes like Zip or Y'bneth, it's still viable but not optimal. If the team has a jungle hero with good split-pushing capabilities, players can completely use Maloch in the top lane.
Cresht
Cresht is a support hero that doesn't require much skill to play. However, upon release, Cresht had to balance between roaming for vision and building up his passive. Many new players might question this because why would he need energy? The reality is, what he needs to build up here is his passive, similar to Raz or Hayate's mechanics.
To activate the Aqua Spirit, Cresht needs to have full rage, so sometimes even if his ultimate is ready but he lacks enough rage, he can't use it. To build up rage quickly, players can deal damage to targets or have to farm continuously. As a result, this leads to the consequence of not being able to check the map frequently and providing vision for Marksmen effectively.

After the rage bar was removed, Cresht only needs to regenerate his third skill to be able to spam it right away, making it extremely easy to move around and gain vision. On the other hand, upon its initial release, Arena of Valor had relatively few heroes, and heroes like Maloch and Lauriel, who naturally counter Cresht, constantly appeared in ranked matches, making it difficult for this hero to thrive.
Currently, the number of heroes with crowd control abilities has not decreased but has significantly increased over time, such as Hayate, Florentino, Airi, etc. However, with the presence of Vulnerability coupled with teammates' support, Cresht is not too intimidated. Although in this 2023 S3 season, Fish is not a hot pick and is not as attention-grabbing as other heroes, but truly, if encountering a team fond of engaging, playing aggressively, and especially if the opponents do not have a lot of standard damage, Cresht will be extremely fierce and impactful.
Kaine
New bottle, old wine; many gamers returning to the game recently will surely be a bit surprised by Batman's appearance. Especially after this adjustment, Batman, or also known as Kaine, is hotter than ever.
Previously, Batman was mostly used as a Support and hardly anyone dared to use this hero in the Jungle. Conversely, currently Kaine is favored in the lane or Jungle position. The reason is that Batman used to have to wait for his ultimate cooldown to go invisible, and if he accidentally dealt damage, he had to wait 15 - 20s to go invisible again. Now, Kaine only needs to loop around for a few seconds to vanish and hunt prey.

On the other hand, previously Batman before reaching level 4 couldn't exert much pressure or surprise, whereas with Kaine, even in the early stages, this Arena of Valor hero is ready to circle around the enemy team's Jungle and intimidate enemy Junglers. If Batman used to fear vision from enemy Support or heroes with map vision capabilities like Ilumia, Max, Bonnie, then the current Kaine also fears, but that's not something that worries him too much because you just need to retreat and wait a few seconds to vanish and continue hunting for prey. In this 2023 S3 season, Kaine is a highly popular hot pick. Playing Support is pressurizing, playing in the lane is extremely dangerous, and if given the chance to Jungle, he becomes even more bloodthirsty.
