4. Redemptorist Church
Redemptorist Church (also known as Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or Redemptorist Congregation in Hue) is a Roman Catholic architectural landmark located in the city of Hue. This church is situated in Phu Nhuan Ward. The church's campus is triangular in shape, with the apex at the intersection of Nguyen Hue and Nguyen Khuyen streets. In the front, there is a statue of Jesus Christ, and to the left at the back is the Nativity scene. The main architectural layout stretches 70 meters in depth, with a width of 15–37 meters. The primary materials used in its construction are concrete and green stone, with a tile roof.
The church tower reaches 32 meters in height, with a bell tower (operated electrically) that has three levels, and a spire that stands at 53 meters. The sharp spire and the tiled roof of the tower complement the eastern and western architectural styles of the church. The side corridors measure 26 meters in length and are 4.2 meters wide. The main altar, made of marble from the Marble Mountains, measures 3.6 x 1.2 x 0.29 meters. The church's special design includes large open doors and no walls. The porch is spacious, so when large crowds attend services, the doors can be opened, and those outside can still feel like they are inside the church.
Much like Phu Cam Church, the Redemptorist Church is one of the largest churches in Hue. Located right in the heart of the city, it sits next to the bustling Nguyen Hue Street. A visit here offers great photo opportunities, and you can also enjoy entertainment and dining with plenty of services nearby.
