Basic characteristics: - Proof is using evidence to make people believe. - Explanation is using reason to make people understand. - Analysis is breaking down into many parts, details to make people understand thoroughly and thoroughly. - Comparison is making people clearly recognize the value of objects, phenomena, thoughts by comparing with other objects, phenomena, thoughts. - Refutation is to deny. - Commentary is persuading others to listen to the evaluation and discussion of the writer, speaker. 2. In the excerpt, the author mainly used the proof operation. By the historical fact of over 80 years of colonialism in our country, the author proves that the French colonialists betrayed and trampled on by their achievements in human thought and civilization: independence, freedom, equality. 3. Write a persuasive essay expressing opinions on an issue posed by cultural and spiritual life with the requirement to apply at least three different reasoning operations. II. Homework: 1. The essays of Hịch tướng sĩ (Trần Quốc Tuấn), Chiếu dời đô (Lý Công Uẩn), Bàn về phép học (Nguyễn Thiếp)... have successfully combined many different reasoning operations. 2. 1. Explain: Cutting the meaning of an object, phenomenon, or concept to make others understand clearly, understanding the issue correctly. Explanation in argumentative writing is to make the reader understand the thoughts, principles, qualities, relationships that need to be explained to enhance cognition, intellect, nurture the soul, emotions.
2. Analysis: Divide the object into many component parts to thoroughly examine the content, form of the object.
3. Demonstration: Using authentic evidence, already recognized to prove the object.
4. Comment: Discuss, comment, evaluate on an issue.
5. Comparison: Clarify the object under study in relation to another object.
6. Refute: Exchange methods, arguments to refute opinions considered wrong.
Homework:
1. Collect some essays, passages:
- A period in poetry (Hoai Thanh)
- Message about World HIV/AIDS Day
- Nguyen Dinh Chieu shining star in national literature and arts
2. Choose the poem that you consider outstanding:
- Analyze the value of content, art of that poem
- Evaluate, comment on the value of the poem and state the reason why you like that poem
- Personal feelings about the poem
