Everyone has a hometown, a place where they were born and raised. Our homeland is always full of unforgettable beautiful scenes, but there are those specific sights that leave an indelible impression. For some, it might be the endless fields or the calm flowing rivers. For me, it is the vast blue beach of Phu Quoc, a quintessential beauty of Vietnam's coastal regions.
The island is filled year-round with the scent of saltwater and the refreshing sea breeze. Every year, countless tourists come to relax and explore this beautiful destination. The long stretch of white sandy beaches and the clear turquoise waters are major attractions. Each morning, fishing boats return after a night out at sea, bringing fresh, wriggling fish to sell at the market right on the beach. If you visit early enough, you can also catch a breathtaking sunrise over the sea. The sun rises like a golden yolk on the horizon, turning the water a vibrant orange, as though the sea itself is the resting place for the sun after its long day. The gentle waves wash up, leaving small seashells scattered across the sand. On Sunday mornings, my friends and I collect these beautiful seashells to make bracelets. In the evening, the sea breeze rustles the palm trees along the shore, and the sound of the wind and waves fills the air, creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. During the summer, the beach becomes lively and festive, with sounds of laughter, music, and waves blending into a harmonious symphony of summer. At other times of the year, the beach feels quieter and more solitary, with waves calmer and the salty air less intense. But no matter the season, I will always cherish this beach, which holds countless memories of my childhood and adds beauty to my homeland.
Time passes, and even when I grow older and travel far, I will never forget this beach. To me, no matter how many other beaches I visit around the world, my homeland’s beach will always be the most beautiful.

Summer is always my favorite season of the year. With the arrival of summer, another school year ends, and I get to enjoy a fun and relaxing vacation as a reward for a year of hard work. What makes summer even more special is that every year, my family and I go to the beach. To me, the beach has always been beautiful. From far off at sea, the waves crash with frothy white crests, creating their own unique melody, like the sea’s personal song. Some mischievous waves rush to the shore only to retreat back into the sea quickly, almost as if they’re playful children trying to grab attention and play with people on the beach. Further out at sea, the faint outlines of fishing boats, tourist boats, and even rescue boats can be seen. The surface of the ocean stretches endlessly toward the horizon, and I feel as though the sea reaches all the way to the sky, merging at the distant point where they meet. The beach is equally stunning, with long stretches of soft golden sand. Many coconut and casuarina trees line the shore, not only enhancing the scenery but also providing shade and contributing to the greening of the environment, as people always encourage. Beyond the beach, the area is full of lively restaurants, shops, and services, revealing how much people enjoy this place. Fancy hotels and guesthouses also attract visitors who are willing to pay extra for a room with a perfect view of the beach. Even though I can’t swim, I am always excited to play in the water whenever we visit the beach, so my parents always rent a large floatation device to keep me safe. With the float and my parents’ watchful eyes, I can enjoy the water without worry. When we get tired of swimming, my family and I go back to the shore to have some light snacks or simply relax and watch others play. The beach is always crowded with people. Some enjoy swimming and playing in the water, while others relax like my family, or even host small parties with music and lively games. Due to the crowd, beach vendors are always around selling food, drinks, and snacks. Despite visiting the beach every year, I never get bored and always try my best to study well so I can enjoy even more beach trips with my family.
