2. Fireworks to Celebrate the Lunar New Year 2024
As part of the celebration, Da Nang will host a stunning 15-minute fireworks display at midnight on February 10, 2024, to ring in the Lunar New Year of the Dragon. The fireworks will be set off at three locations: Bach Dang Square (at the intersection of Binh Minh 6 and Bach Dang Streets), the area near the Kim Long Nam project (opposite the eastern side of the Liên Chiểu District Administration Center), and the Hoà Vang District Administrative Center.
This year, nearly 2,000 fireworks, including both high and low-altitude displays, will light up the sky, with 120 launch pads. The fireworks will be presented in a spectacular artistic show (without music), utilizing the FireOne system and semi-automatic L100S firing system.
In addition to the fireworks, the city will also hold a bonsai and ornamental plant exhibition at 3 Phan Đăng Lưu Street, an art program to celebrate the founding of the Communist Party at APEC Park, and a New Year's Eve performance to welcome the Lunar New Year 2024.

3. Tet Flower Market for the Lunar New Year 2024
Unlike previous years when the Tet Flower Market was held at 29/3 Square (2/9 Street), this year, Da Nang's Tet Flower Market for the Lunar New Year 2024 will take place at a temporary location within the vacant lots around the Tiên Sơn Sports Complex. The market will be set up along the sidewalks of three streets near the complex: Nại Nam 2, Doãn Khuê, and Nại Nam 3 (Hòa Cường Bắc Ward, Hải Châu District), running from January 31 to the evening of February 9, 2024 (from the 21st to the 30th day of the 12th lunar month).
According to the Da Nang Parks and Greenery Company, which is responsible for organizing the market, the sidewalk areas along the three streets adjacent to the Tiên Sơn Sports Complex will be divided into 267 stalls for local and external vendors to display and sell flowers and ornamental plants for the Lunar New Year. Of these, 238 stalls will have a frontage of 2 meters and a depth of 20 meters along Nại Nam 2, Doãn Khuê, and Nại Nam 3, while 29 stalls will have a frontage of meters and a depth of 11.4 meters along Nại Nam 3, near Phan Đăng Lưu Street.

4. Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival 2024
The Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival 2024 aims to celebrate traditional cultural values, ignite national pride, and honor the homeland. It also serves as a platform to showcase the beauty of Hòa Vang and its traditional cultural space, attracting both locals and tourists to visit and shop.
The festival will be held from January 26 to January 29, 2024 (from the 16th to the 19th day of the 12th lunar month). Visitors will not only experience the spirit of Tet through activities like ‘Celebrating Tet, Traveling Tet, Playing Tet, and Eating Tet,’ but also take part in ‘Tet Shopping,’ a must-do activity for every Vietnamese family during the Lunar New Year.
The festival will unfold along the area from the District Administration Center to Quảng Xương Street and Túy Loan Night Market, offering six distinct spaces: Traditional Tet and Local Specialty Stalls; Product Display and Sales Area; Traditional Games and Chòi Singing Area; Traditional Food Space; Túy Loan Night Market Area; and the Spring Flower Festival Area.
At the Vietnamese Tet Festival, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a traditional Tet celebration. Customs and legends of Vietnam’s Lunar New Year are vividly re-enacted through folk games such as Chòi singing, Lô tô, and other traditional Tet activities. Attendees can also enjoy performances of traditional culinary arts, calligraphy displays, and New Year's blessings. There will be cooking contests for “Green Tet Cakes – A Meaningful Tet” and “Art Talent Search,” as well as TikTok dance contests. The festival will also feature both traditional and contemporary performances available for free every evening.
This year's festival promises even bigger and fresher activities to engage visitors, including Tet markets, traditional dress exhibitions, flower bike parades, Tet feast displays, traditional folk games, and calligraphy booths. In addition, there will be several market stalls selling local OCOP products, traditional foods, handcrafted items, textiles, fashion, and plants and flowers in preparation for Tet.
Location: From the District Administration Center to Quảng Xương Street and Túy Loan Night Market

5. Lunar New Year Flower Street 2024
The Da Nang City People's Committee has invested nearly 20 billion VND to create 15 flower decoration spots and 6 lighting displays for the Lunar New Year of the Dragon. These decorations are expected to be completed by February 7, 2024 (the 28th day of the 12th lunar month) and will remain on display for the public to enjoy until February 19, 2024 (the 10th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Dragon).
At the southwest corner of the Dragon Bridge, just beyond the entrance, visitors will be greeted with a sculpture depicting the legend of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ, representing the 50 sons who followed their father to the sea and the 50 who followed their mother to the mountains. The entrance features a dragon-shaped arch, with a stylized dragon head on the left and a phoenix figure on the right. Surrounding this area will be dragon-inspired sculptures that further enhance the decorations.
