Fifteen years ago, right after finishing 9th grade, Lữ Hữu Tuấn (originally from Bình Giang, Thăng Bình) convinced his mother to let him stop formal education. “I wanted to find a profession I was passionate about and that could support me,” Tuấn explained.

After a short time, Tuấn decided to quit school and pursue a career in hairdressing at Khánh Vĩnh Hoàng Salon (on Trần Hưng Đạo Street, District 1). “The way I got into this profession wasn’t clear, but one thing I know for sure is that the profession chose me, not the other way around,” Lữ Hữu Tuấn shared. With a strong desire to create beautiful hairstyles and honor his mother's sacrifices to fund his education, Hữu Tuấn began his career earlier than planned and chose Da Nang as the place to start his journey.

In 2008, once again, Tuấn’s mother borrowed money to help him open a salon. After eight months of business, Tuấn faced disappointment when customers didn’t come as expected. “It was a shock to me as I didn’t consider the cultural differences in each region. The hair fashion I brought from Saigon wasn’t immediately embraced by local clients,” Tuấn recalled. However, about six years ago, and even today, when people mention Beo Vĩnh Hoàng, those in the know recognize the salon’s distinctive quality and services, which are higher-priced compared to the local average. “Very few salons in Da Nang take full responsibility for their clients' hair like Beo Vĩnh Hoàng.
