1. Jung Kook
Jeon Jung-kook was born on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea. He is the youngest of two siblings. He attended Baekyang Elementary School and Baekyang Middle School in Busan, later moving to Singu High School in Seoul when he became a trainee. Initially, Jungkook dreamed of becoming a badminton player, but after watching G-Dragon perform 'Heartbreaker' on television, he decided to pursue a career as a singer.
On June 13, 2013, Jungkook debuted as a member of BTS with the group's first album '2 Cool 4 Skool'. Throughout his career with BTS, Jungkook has released three solo tracks: his debut pop song 'Begin' from the 2016 album 'Wings', which reflects his journey of moving to Seoul at a young age to become an idol and expresses gratitude towards the BTS members who supported him; 'Euphoria', a future bass track released on April 5, 2018, as part of the third installment of BTS's 'Love Yourself' album series, which later charted at number 5 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100; and 'My Time', a R&B track from BTS's 2020 album 'Map of the Soul: 7', which describes the experiences he had to give up due to his career. 'Euphoria' and 'My Time' are among the longest-charting K-pop solo tracks on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart.
On November 20, 2022, Jungkook released the single 'Dreamers' featuring Qatari singer Fahad Al Kubaisi, which was performed during the 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar. Jungkook became the first South Korean artist to perform an official World Cup song and take part in the opening ceremony. His song 'Stay Alive' was also one of the top 5 most streamed K-pop tracks in Vietnam this year.


2. j-hope
Jung Ho-seok (Korean: 정호석; born February 18, 1994), known professionally as j-hope, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer from South Korea. He debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment.
In 2018, j-hope released his first solo mixtape, 'Hope World', which received positive critical reception and reached No. 38 on the US Billboard 200, making him the highest-charting solo South Korean artist at the time. He became the first BTS member to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist in 2019 when his single 'Chicken Noodle Soup', featuring Becky G, debuted at No. 81 on the chart.
j-hope is another BTS member who made it to the top K-pop artists dominating the Vietnamese music scene. He also ranked fourth in the Top K-pop Male Artists/Groups with the most streams in Vietnam over the past year. His 2022 album 'Jack In The Box' continues to receive strong support from Vietnamese fans. With his current popularity, j-hope is likely to achieve even more success in his future artistic journey.


3. BTS
BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. The group consists of seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. They are known for writing and producing most of their own music. Initially starting as a hip-hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres, often addressing themes such as mental health, school struggles, loss, self-love, and individuality. Their songs often explore literary and psychological concepts, including a parallel universe storyline.
After debuting with the single album '2 Cool 4 Skool' in 2013, BTS released their first full-length Korean album, 'Dark & Wild', and their first Japanese album, 'Wake Up', in 2014. Their second Korean studio album, 'Wings' (2016), was the first to sell over a million copies in South Korea. By 2017, BTS had broken into the global music market, leading the Korean wave in the United States and breaking multiple sales records. They became the first K-pop group to receive a Gold certification from the RIAA for the single 'Mic Drop' and the first Korean artist to top the US Billboard 200 with 'Love Yourself: Tear' (2018). BTS has accumulated four No. 1 albums in the US in less than two years, making them one of the few groups since The Beatles to achieve such a feat. 'Love Yourself: Answer' (2018) was the first Korean album to earn a Platinum certification from the RIAA. In 2020, BTS became the first Korean artist to top both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200 with 'Dynamite', which was also Grammy-nominated. Their following singles 'Savage Love', 'Life Goes On', 'Butter', and 'Permission to Dance' made them the fastest artist to score four No. 1 singles in the US since Justin Timberlake in 2006.
As of 2022, BTS remains the best-selling artist in South Korean history with over 30 million albums sold. Their 2020 album 'Map of the Soul: 7' is the best-selling album in South Korea. The group also made history as the first non-English and Asian artists to sell out at Wembley Stadium and Rose Bowl during their 2019 'Love Yourself' World Tour. BTS was named the Global Recording Artist of the Year by the IFPI (2020-2021). Over the years, they have amassed numerous awards, including 11 American Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, and 28 Golden Disc Awards with five Grammy nominations. In 2017, they partnered with UNICEF to launch the 'Love Myself' anti-violence campaign and addressed the UN General Assembly three times. Featured on the cover of Time magazine as 'The Next Generation Leaders' and dubbed 'The Princes of Pop', BTS has also appeared in Time’s lists of the 25 Most Influential People on the Internet (2017-2019) and 100 Most Influential People in the World (2019). In 2018, they became the youngest recipients of South Korea's prestigious Order of Cultural Merit for their contributions to spreading Korean culture and language.
In 2022, BTS achieved a monumental success in the Vietnamese music market, ranking first in the list of Top K-pop artists with the highest streams, after dominating this category for two consecutive years. The group had three of the top five most-streamed K-pop songs in Vietnam, including 'Butter', 'Dynamite', and 'Yet to Come'. Furthermore, four of the top five most-streamed albums also belonged to BTS, with 'Proof' taking the top spot, followed by 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7', 'BE', and 'Love Yourself 結 ‘Answer’.'


4. BLACKPINK
Blackpink is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Blackpink officially debuted with their first single album 'Square One', which featured the tracks 'Boombayah' and 'Whistle'. Both songs later charted on Billboard's World Digital Songs and South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart.
Blackpink holds the highest ranking for a South Korean girl group on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching No. 13 with 'Ice Cream' (2020), and also topped the Billboard 200 with 'Born Pink' (2022). They were the first K-pop girl group to top the Billboard Emerging Artists chart and have earned three No. 1 singles on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. Blackpink became the first South Korean girl group to receive a certification from the RIAA for their single 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du' (2018), the most-viewed music video by a K-pop group on YouTube. They also hold the record for the most songs by a South Korean girl group in the UK Top 40. The track 'Kiss and Make Up' was the first by a K-pop girl group to be certified by the British Phonographic Industry and went platinum in Australia. In 2022, Blackpink became the first K-pop group to reach No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with 'Pink Venom'.
The group has broken numerous online records throughout their career. Their music videos for 'Kill This Love' (2019) and 'How You Like That' (2020) set new records for the most views within 24 hours of release on YouTube, with 'How You Like That' breaking three and setting two Guinness World Records. Blackpink is the first K-pop group to have five music videos ('Ddu-Du Ddu-Du', 'Kill This Love', 'Boombayah', 'As If It's Your Last', and 'How You Like That') reach 1 billion views on the platform. The group is also the most-followed female group on Spotify and the most subscribed artist on YouTube with over 75 million subscribers.
Other accolades include winning 'New Artist of the Year' at the 31st Golden Disc Awards and the 26th Seoul Music Awards, the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards for Best Female Group, becoming the first K-pop girl group to win an MTV Video Music Award, and being recognized by Forbes as one of the 30 Under 30 Most Influential in Asia. Blackpink was named the most powerful celebrity in South Korea by Forbes Korea in 2019, and they have also been hailed by former South Korean President Moon Jae-in as a global K-pop phenomenon that has helped spread Korean culture worldwide.
The BLACKPINK ladies have also made an impressive mark, securing the No. 2 spot in the Top K-pop Artists with the highest streams, along with ranking No. 1 in the Top Female K-pop Groups with the most streams. Their album 'Born Pink' has been extremely well received by Vietnamese fans and continues to maintain its popularity.


5. SEVENTEEN
Seventeen (Korean: 세븐틴, stylized as SEVENTEEN, or abbreviated as SVT) is a South Korean boy group consisting of 13 members, formed by Pledis Entertainment. The group debuted on May 26, 2015, and is divided into three sub-units, each with a distinct area of expertise: the Hip-Hop Team (S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon), the Vocal Team (Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan), and the Performance Team (Hoshi, Jun, The8, Dino).
Seventeen is known for their active involvement in songwriting, producing, and choreographing their own music, earning them the title 'self-producing idols'. All 13 members are registered with the Korean Music Copyright Association.
Seventeen also ranks among the top K-pop artists with the highest stream counts in Vietnam, boasting hit tracks like 'HOT', 'Rock With You', and 'VERY NICE'. From a virtually unknown group from a smaller entertainment agency, SEVENTEEN has now risen to become one of the most popular K-pop acts, beloved by Vietnamese fans.
