1. Avengers: Infinity War (The Infinity War)
Nearly a decade after Iron Man (2008), the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the most successful film franchise in history, with 17 films and a total gross of $13 billion. Avengers: Infinity War had a strong debut in Vietnam, creating a box office frenzy and social media buzz. The film sold 1.2 million tickets across the country within the first five days, earning 100 billion VND. With this achievement, the superhero blockbuster broke the record previously held by Kong: Skull Island and became the fastest film to reach 100 billion VND in Vietnam.
In this installment, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and other Avengers unite to face their most formidable enemy, Thanos. He sends his minions, the Black Order, to find six Infinity Stones to complete his collection on the Infinity Gauntlet.

2. Brilliant May
Brilliant May (originally Sunny from Korea) is the first remake film of the year. Fortunately, the film exceeded expectations and was even praised as being better than "I Am Your Grandma". It became one of the best Vietnamese films of the first half of the year. The movie captures the essence of youthful dreams and aspirations, depicting a nostalgic and peaceful era of the 1970s while also carrying a sense of regret. This was beautifully portrayed by six friends with distinct personalities, sharing moments such as walking from home to school, enjoying carefree times with close friends, unrequited love for a popular boy, and heartfelt moments that brought tears to innocent faces. All these aspects are vividly captured in the film "Brilliant May". The film is a complete work, both in terms of visual appeal and content, leaving viewers moved with its remarkable OSTs.

3. The Incredibles
Incredibles 2 had an outstanding debut, earning $180 million in its opening weekend in North America alone. This impressive achievement made it the highest-grossing animated film opening of all time. After 14 years, although the storyline and themes aren't new compared to the first movie, The Incredibles 2 still captivated audiences by delving deeper into the characters' psychology and presenting new ideas about superheroes. While stopping the villain Underminer, they inadvertently caused massive damage to Metroville. Taking advantage of this, selfish politicians tightened laws banning superheroes. Just when it seemed like the days of heroism were over, Bob and Helen unexpectedly received a strange invitation from the Deavor telecommunications company. Winston and Evelyn Deavor, who had idolized superheroes since childhood, wanted to restore the family's once-glorious reputation. They chose Elastigirl as the 'face of the brand', and through various campaigns to capture criminals, she helped to rebuild the superhero community's reputation worldwide. Meanwhile, a mysterious criminal known as Screenslaver begins to cause havoc, using mind control to carry out nefarious activities. Additionally, in Incredibles 2, the superpowers of the family members are more vividly showcased, especially the young Jack-Jack. While each Parr family member has only a few specific powers, the child possesses an incredible range of abilities, including super strength, metal manipulation, laser vision, fire or electricity projection, teleportation, size-shifting, cloning, and intangibility.

4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Jurassic World (2015) earned a staggering $1.67 billion, becoming the fourth highest-grossing film in history, leaving Universal no reason not to create a sequel. Four years after the events of the first film, Isla Nublar has been abandoned and is now home to dinosaurs, but an active volcano threatens to wipe them out. Claire, with the help of billionaire Benjamin Lockwood, tries to rescue the dinosaurs from certain extinction. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom offers not only breathtaking visuals and grand special effects but also thought-provoking lessons about humanity. While large, aggressive animals might seem like the biggest threat, it is human greed that proves to be the most dangerous of all. The pride, arrogance, and ignorance of certain individuals lead to the potential doom of mankind.

5. Deadpool 2
Following the unexpected success of the first film, the highly entertaining Deadpool 2 returns with its trademark irreverence and over-the-top antics. The loudmouthed, violence-loving mercenary is back in action. After just three days in theaters, including some early showings, Deadpool 2 attracted over 650,000 viewers and grossed over $2 million, setting the record for the highest opening weekend for an R-rated film in Vietnam. The antihero continues his tradition of mocking other superheroes and films, delivering sharp and hilarious commentary. Meanwhile, the film's action sequences are significantly improved, featuring stunning close-quarters combat, explosive action, and intense violence. The story follows Deadpool as he faces off against Cable, a mutant with time-traveling abilities, while protecting a young boy named Russell. Alongside familiar faces, Deadpool 2 introduces a new, impressive character lineup, including Domino (Zazie Beetz), a mutant who can manipulate luck in her favor.
