'I was fond of the web drama version due to its relatable content and authentic performances, so I immediately agreed when Trấn Thành approached me,' said Director Vũ Ngọc Đãng.
According to the director and Trấn Thành, the cinematic version of 'The Godfather' doesn't just revisit familiar stories. Instead, it introduces entirely new twists and developments. The characters have different fates, a new father figure, and a more refined, impactful narrative. This version promises to offer audiences a reflection of their own lives, as well as the image of their own parents.
The story of this cinematic version, created by Trấn Thành himself, follows the life of a motorbike driver, portrayed by Trấn Thành. As ride-hailing services rise in popularity, his livelihood faces challenges. The heavy burden of financial stress worsens as his wife becomes addicted to gambling and his children's expensive education puts further strain on him.
