After nearly a year of airing online, artist Trấn Thành decided to invest in producing a cinematic version of The Godfather - The Movie. Some familiar faces from the web drama version return, including NSND Ngọc Giàu, Lê Giang, and Tuấn Trần. Trấn Thành announced that the film is in its final stages of production and will be ready to hit theaters during the Lunar New Year of 2021. Director Vũ Ngọc Đãng, who was invited to helm the project, expressed his surprise and excitement upon receiving the offer. 'I was fond of the web drama version due to its relatable content and authentic performances, so I immediately agreed when Trấn Thành approached me,' said Director Vũ Ngọc Đãng.

According to the director and Trấn Thành, the cinematic version of 'The Godfather' doesn't just revisit familiar stories. Instead, it introduces entirely new twists and developments. The characters have different fates, a new father figure, and a more refined, impactful narrative. This version promises to offer audiences a reflection of their own lives, as well as the image of their own parents.

The story of this cinematic version, created by Trấn Thành himself, follows the life of a motorbike driver, portrayed by Trấn Thành. As ride-hailing services rise in popularity, his livelihood faces challenges. The heavy burden of financial stress worsens as his wife becomes addicted to gambling and his children's expensive education puts further strain on him.
