1. Japanese Women Prioritize Career Over Marriage and Children
Japan was once a society that favored men. Men were expected to provide for the family, while women stayed at home to take care of the household.
However, times have changed, and more and more women in Japan are working hard and achieving financial stability. They are thriving in their careers and are able to find good jobs, often postponing marriage and childbirth as a result.

2. Many Men Live in a Virtual World
Young people in Japan, especially young men, are surrounded by anime, manga, and technology. For many single young men, creating an imaginary manga girlfriend is quite common.
While some can distinguish between fantasy and reality, others cannot. One thing is certain: while an imaginary girlfriend may be perfect, she doesn't offer much in real life. Furthermore, a virtual girlfriend cannot provide warmth, romance, or the possibility of having children.

3. Marriage and Raising Many Children is Expensive for Young Couples
In Japan, having children is costly, especially for young couples. Despite improvements in maternity leave policies and childcare systems over the years, the situation has not seen significant progress.
Japan's birth rate continues to decline. Young couples simply cannot afford to have children due to the overwhelming demands of their busy work schedules, which leave little time for raising a family.

4. Japanese Men Struggle to Find Stable and Well-Paying Jobs
In Japan, men are typically seen as the breadwinners. However, with the increasing difficulty of finding stable employment, fewer couples are getting married. Parents may even oppose their children's marriage if the couple lacks a stable job.
Young men face significant pressure, as Japanese culture expects them to secure a stable job right after graduation. Failing to do so is seen as a societal failure.

5. Work Has a Negative Impact on Them
Japanese people are known for their dedication to work. They are accustomed to long working hours, often leaving home early and returning late in the evening.
Taking a day off is often seen as a sign of lack of commitment. As a result, many people forgo romantic relationships due to the exhaustion from their jobs. This leads to young people gradually losing interest in love and intimacy.
