1. The mission of the barber profession is to bring joy and happiness to others
'Work to create a meaningful life, not for recognition. If you can make someone smile, do it today!' This is how the young man expresses his philosophy. Many young people choose the barber profession hoping to become famous, earn money to buy luxury cars, branded goods, and travel around the world like top hairstylists. Indeed, some careers allow us to make a living, earn wealth, and bring prosperity. But some might wonder: 'If it’s not for recognition, can free services truly match the quality of paid ones?' In a clear response, Huynh Minh states, 'The true mission of the barber profession is to bring beauty and happiness to others.' Always mindful of this purpose, he has never disappointed his clients, whether they are regulars at his salon or special guests who receive free haircuts every evening. Every snip is a reflection of his dedication and passion.

2. The power of money is not everything
"No matter what field you work in, if you take a moment to help others, you will always be welcomed," says Huynh Minh. He aims to inspire others with his heart, love, and willingness to share, hoping they, too, can help those they meet who might be in similar or even worse circumstances. Through the story of Huynh Minh, we see that real compassion still exists in a world where indifference is slowly taking over. The free haircuts speak not of material value, but of the powerful spirit of 'helping those in need'.

3. Huynh Minh - Building a brand from scratch
Not everyone is lucky enough to easily pursue their dreams and passions along a smooth path. To reach the success he enjoys today, Huynh Minh understands more than anyone the hardships and struggles life required him to endure. He was born into a broken family, with his parents separating when he was just 7 years old. Raised in the poor rural areas of Hau Giang, he worked various jobs from a young age, from street vending and carrying goods to selling lottery tickets to help his mother support the family. By the time he was in 8th grade, he decided to drop out of school and started working as a construction laborer. After saving enough money, approximately 2 gold coins (roughly 800,000 VND at that time), he was able to follow his long-held dream of becoming a barber. Today, his hard work has paid off as he owns the well-known Huynh Minh Salon brand in Can Tho, with two locations:
- Location 1: 29B Mau Than Street, An Hoa Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City.
- Location 2: 704 30/4 Street, Hung Loi Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City.

4. Free Haircuts - A meaningful gift from Huynh Minh to the homeless
Life is full of contrasts: where there are rich people, there are poor ones; where there is happiness, there is also pain; where there is success, failure exists as well. The world is a mix of all these experiences. Sometimes, people forget or become indifferent to the struggles of others who are less fortunate, and even mock or disdain them simply because they are poor. It’s disheartening to see those who have so much living selfishly, while those with little still come together to help one another. Does this mean that to be happy or to gain respect, only money matters? The true answer is: 'Money is a necessary condition, but it's not enough.' So, what else is required? The answer is compassion, the willingness to share love, no matter how little. Therefore, even if we are not wealthy, we can still help those less fortunate through the love we give. A few bags of rice, some warm blankets, or even a free performance can lift their spirits and give them the strength to continue. Huynh Minh, understanding how difficult it is to rise in life with nothing, has chosen to inspire and bring joy to those in need through his free haircuts. For him: 'Hairdressing is not just a profession, it's a passion. And this passion is expressed through the heart, through empathy for those less fortunate. My actions are a small contribution to helping these incomplete lives believe in life again, because love between people is everywhere.'

5. Work begins when the streets light up
In an interview with Mytour, he shared that every time the streets light up, his journey of giving back begins. The sidewalks and streets are his usual spots where he offers free haircuts. His special clients are none other than the street vendors, motorbike taxi drivers, rickshaw pullers, lottery sellers, and the homeless. Armed with only a simple toolkit – a razor blade, a manual trimmer, a pair of scissors, a comb, and a spray bottle – he has managed to give many less fortunate individuals a neat and tidy look. For him, these moments of sharing conversations with his unique clients are truly meaningful. They show him that life is full of color, sometimes dim and sorrowful, sometimes full of hardship, and sometimes overflowing with joy, especially when surrounded by family and loved ones. 'We may be luckier than they are, our lives may be more complete, but these people have taught us that life is full of ups and downs, and it’s through struggle and persistence that we can reach true happiness.' This is something Huynh Minh often reflects upon. He recalls that at first, many homeless individuals were suspicious of his offer. They would often ask: 'Is this a scam? What do you want in return for this?' But in the end, they couldn’t help but trust the young man’s sincere eyes and warm heart, assuring them: 'Everything is real, and this is not a trap.' Eventually, his work is always completed with happiness, smiles, and endless praise from his special clients.
