2. Gmobile (Beeline)
Gtel Mobile JSC, founded in July 2008, is a joint venture between GTEL Corporation and Russian telecommunications giant Vimpelcom. In April 2012, Vimpelcom transferred its entire stake to the Vietnamese side, making Gtel Mobile JSC a fully Vietnamese-owned telecom company and marking the start of a new phase of development in Vietnam's telecom market.

MobiFone is the first mobile network operator in Vietnam, founded on April 16, 1993, initially named Mobile Information Company (VMS).
