Honorable delegates,
Dear parents,
Respected teachers,
Dear students,
The Mid-Autumn Festival has arrived, bringing joy not only to the children but also to grandparents, parents, and teachers. Since last year’s festival, the students of our school have achieved new accomplishments in both their studies and personal development. Many students come from economically disadvantaged families, while others face particularly challenging circumstances. Yet, thanks to their dreams, determination, and strong will, they have strived to become model students, excelling in their academic performance and contributing to making this Moon Festival celebration even more joyful.
Dear students,
As always, you celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival just as the new school year has begun. This festive occasion will help you cultivate optimism, dream big, and stay focused on your goals. Today, the Primary School... along with parents and teachers, proudly presents the “Fairy Tale Moon” program for all the students. We all hope that you continue to be good, diligent, and play healthily, work hard, do good deeds, and successfully fulfill your dreams. Keep striving in your studies and personal growth to become good citizens who will actively contribute to building a prosperous and beautiful homeland.

2. Opening Speech for the Moon Festival Night (Speech 5)
Dear distinguished guests,

On behalf of all the teachers at XX Primary School, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all the children, hoping that you will enjoy a joyful and harmonious festival. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the generous donors who have contributed meaningful gifts for the children to enjoy this year’s celebration. Thank you so much for your support.
Dear students,
I am very pleased to hear that over the past year, many of you have worked hard in your studies, physical training, and moral development. Many students have excelled academically, and your achievements bring great joy to your families and teachers. You are not only beloved by your peers but also embody the spirit of being model students who live up to the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh.
On this occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, I hope you will continue to be diligent, united, and work hard to improve yourselves. Participate in meaningful activities, help one another, and strive to become good students, deserving of the love and trust placed in you by your parents and teachers.
Dear guests,
In the spirit of sharing and alleviating the difficulties faced by some children, I call on all community organizations, businesses, and individuals to pay more attention to the care and education of the younger generation. Let us work together to ensure that no child is left behind or deprived of the opportunity to go to school. There are still many children in our society facing hardship, and it is our responsibility to help them overcome those challenges.
By doing so, we instill hope and strength in these children, helping them to overcome obstacles and integrate fully into society.
In this joyful atmosphere, on behalf of the organizing committee, I wish all the delegates and guests good health, happiness, and success in your work. I also wish all the students a fun and meaningful Moon Festival celebration tonight. May you stay healthy and achieve great results in your studies.
I hereby declare the opening of the Moon Festival Night 20XX at XX Primary School.

3. Opening Speech for the Moon Festival Night (Speech 6)
Dear distinguished guests,
Respected teachers and dear students,
Today, as we join the joyful atmosphere of children across the country celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, XX Primary School, in cooperation with local authorities, is hosting a special celebration for the children of 20XX. On behalf of the school leadership and the local government, I extend my warmest wishes for good health, happiness, and a meaningful Mid-Autumn Night for all the children here today.
Dear distinguished guests,
Dear teachers and beloved students,
It has become a cherished tradition: every year, after the “National Day of Sending Children to School,” we all eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Mid-Autumn Festival—the Moon Festival. This is the time when the moon shines its brightest, when the air is cool, and the sounds of joyful laughter fill the night along with the lively beats of dragon and lion dances. “The sweet scent of ripe fruit and fresh sticky rice cakes mingles with the fragrance of lotus leaves…”
When did the Mid-Autumn Festival—a celebration of children—begin? It’s a question with many answers. Every culture, every country, and every individual has their own version of the story.
We know that since ancient times, the moon has been a symbol of both familiarity and mystery. In Chinese mythology, the story of Hou Yi, the archer who shot down nine suns with his magical bow, and the beautiful Chang'e, who drank the elixir of immortality and ascended to the moon, has been passed down through generations. In Vietnam, there is the tale of Cuoi, the clever and mischievous boy who lives in the moon with his magical banyan tree, alongside the beautiful Chang'e. Despite the differences in our stories, the moon has always been a central symbol for both the Chinese and Vietnamese cultures. The full moon represents completion, dreams, aspirations, and the eternal pursuit of peace and happiness.
Every year, on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in joy and peace, sharing in the happiness of childhood. It is a time for children to enjoy the festivities of the lantern procession, with colorful lanterns such as the five-pointed star, golden fish, and spinning military lanterns. Children wear funny masks, and the streets come alive with the sounds of the lion and dragon dances, bringing luck and joy to everyone.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is not just about the celebrations. It is also about the delicious foods that come with it—sweet fruits like ripe oranges, bananas, and fresh sticky rice cakes. The traditional mooncakes, with their rich, fragrant fillings, bring a sense of nostalgia and sweetness to every home. In the city, you’ll find stalls filled with beautifully arranged fruit offerings, while in the countryside, children eagerly await the arrival of their mooncakes, fruits, and other treats, as they prepare to celebrate in their own special way.
This is also a time to remember our nation’s first independent Mid-Autumn Festival, and to honor President Ho Chi Minh’s love for children, as expressed in the poem:
“The Mid-Autumn moon shines bright,
As Uncle Ho admires the scene, remembering the children’s delight.”
Though he is no longer with us, Uncle Ho’s love for children and his hopes for the future continue to inspire generations. The Mid-Autumn Festival reminds us of his deep affection for the younger generation, our future leaders, and the hope for a prosperous and peaceful nation.
On behalf of the organizing committee, I hereby declare the opening of the 20XX Moon Festival Night. I wish all the children a joyful, happy, and memorable Mid-Autumn celebration, filled with the love and care of their parents, teachers, and the entire community. Thank you to all the distinguished guests for your presence and support.

4. Opening Speech for the Moon Festival Night (Speech 1)
Dear distinguished guests,
Respected teachers and dear students,
As we join the children across the country in celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all of you, including the distinguished guests, our teachers, and especially the beloved students, for good health, happiness, and a joyful celebration filled with meaning and excitement.
Dear distinguished guests, teachers, and all our dear students,
Another Mid-Autumn Festival has arrived. This season not only brings with it the bright golden moon, the shimmering lanterns, and the delightful fragrance of lotus tea, but also revives cherished childhood memories—the unforgettable nights of the full moon festival!
Each person holds their own memories and fondness for this festival, but in the end, the Mid-Autumn Festival represents the best and most complete moments of childhood for so many generations. Although the celebrations of old may have been simple and humble, they were filled with the joy of childhood, a joy that resonates even as we grow older. The festival brings mooncakes, family gatherings, lantern processions, and the laughter of children, all of which continue to echo today.
Today, under the roof of our school, all of you are filled with excitement and happiness as you come together to celebrate, to engage in cultural performances, to participate in the lantern parade, and to enjoy the sweet taste of traditional cakes from our homeland.
Dear students of XX Primary School,
Your childhood, though in many ways less fortunate than that of children in urban areas, carries with it a unique charm. Most of your families live in rural areas, and as a result, you may have fewer opportunities to engage in cultural and festive activities like your urban counterparts. This, unfortunately, is one of the challenges you face in your lives. For that reason, the Mid-Autumn Festival is one that you eagerly anticipate each year, and it is the hope of us, your teachers, to make this occasion as special as possible, bringing a sense of joy and warmth to your lives. We want to create an opportunity for you to enjoy a traditional festival that is filled with love, care, and attention from all of us.
Dear students,
Despite the busy schedules of the local authorities, organizations, and individuals, they have still found time to join us and the parents in making sure this Mid-Autumn Festival is a special one for all of you, particularly for those who come from challenging backgrounds. We are committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of their circumstances, can enjoy this festival with happiness and hope, stepping confidently into the future.
This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is not just a celebration, but a time to honor our beloved President Ho Chi Minh. It is a time to reflect on his enduring love for children and his hopes for their bright futures. Although the celebration this year may not be as grand as we would have liked, please know that it is filled with love and affection from your teachers, parents, local authorities, and generous individuals who have supported us.
We hope that this celebration inspires you to work hard, to study diligently, and to fulfill the hopes and dreams of your families, your teachers, and everyone who believes in you. We will continue to work hard to create the best possible conditions for your education, and we sincerely hope that the collaboration between the school, parents, and the local community will ensure that future Mid-Autumn Festivals will always be filled with joy, love, and unity.
I hereby declare the opening of the 20XX Mid-Autumn Festival at XX Primary School.
Once again, I express my sincere gratitude to the distinguished guests and wish you all health, happiness, and success. To the parents, thank you for your continued support in educating our children. To the teachers, I wish you a successful academic year ahead. And to our students, I hope this new school year brings you good health, diligence, and many more achievements than the previous year.
I wish everyone a joyful and peaceful Mid-Autumn Festival. Thank you!

5. Opening Speech for the Moon Festival Night (Speech 2)
Dear distinguished guests,
Respected parents,
Dear teachers, and beloved scouts and students,
Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional celebration for the youth and children of Vietnam. Every year, on the full moon of the eighth lunar month, children across the country come together to enjoy games and songs under the bright autumn moon. This year's celebration comes at a time when our nation is joyfully commemorating the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, as well as the beginning of a new school year with the nationwide school opening day. After months of hard work in both studying and contributing to their families, the students of our school have made remarkable progress in their studies, self-discipline, and helping others, particularly those in need. Many students have become exemplary in their studies and conduct, living up to the ideals of being good children, good students, and good citizens. Several scout teams have shown great solidarity, mutual support, and academic improvement.
On behalf of the school administration, I would like to congratulate all of the students on their achievements during the past academic year 20XX-20YY and express my gratitude to the local authorities, teachers, school staff, and volunteers who have supported and assisted in the development of our students, both materially and spiritually.
Dear distinguished guests, parents, teachers, and students,
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival coincides with our country's ongoing campaigns, including the “Repaying Gratitude” initiative and the “Day for the Poor” movement. In the academic year 20XX-20YY, we will continue to focus on renewing management practices, enhancing teacher and administrator professional development, and promoting innovation and creativity in education. Additionally, we will continue to integrate information technology into teaching and administration to improve efficiency and engagement.
Our school is committed to working closely with parents, local authorities, and the community to ensure that we continue to provide our students with a nurturing educational environment. We aim to overcome challenges, capitalize on our strengths, and complete the tasks set for the academic year with excellence.
As we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with children across the country, we feel an immense sense of joy and responsibility to create a festive atmosphere where the students can enjoy their holiday to the fullest. We will work together with local authorities and parents to ensure that every Mid-Autumn Festival is filled with happiness, togetherness, and the spirit of unity. I encourage the organizing committee, judges, and all those involved to ensure that this year’s festival is a great success and provides a meaningful experience for all the students.
On behalf of the school administration, I now declare the official opening of the 20XX Moon Festival Night. Let us all give a warm round of applause to welcome this joyful occasion! In closing, I sincerely wish all of you health and happiness, and may our students continue to study hard, excel in their education, and always embody the spirit of the late President Ho Chi Minh. May you have a safe and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, while keeping in mind the importance of your studies.
Thank you and Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

6. Opening Speech for the Moon Festival Night (Speech 3)
Distinguished guests,
Dear parents and supervisors,
And to all our beloved children,
As we gather in the joyful spirit of Mid-Autumn Festival, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all the distinguished guests, teachers, and especially our dear students. I hope everyone enjoys a Mid-Autumn Festival under the theme ‘Mid-Autumn Remembering Uncle Ho’, filled with joy and meaning.
Dear distinguished guests,
And all dear students,
The Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, has been celebrated for over a thousand years. This is the time when the moon is at its fullest and brightest, a perfect occasion for the Moon Festival celebration, featuring traditional foods like mooncakes and colorful lanterns.
After the success of the August Revolution in 1945, Mid-Autumn became a true festival for all children, celebrated with enthusiasm and joy. It also carries a social significance as families and communities come together to care for and cherish the younger generation.
Every year, on this occasion, President Ho Chi Minh would send letters to the children and even visited various places to give gifts, share the joy, and celebrate the full moon with them. This was his special love for the young generation, who are the future of our nation and the future leaders who will build and protect the country.
As we celebrate this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, it is a great time for adults to express their love and care for the youth. Over the past time, the children of our school have shown exemplary behavior as responsible students, dedicated to their studies, respecting their elders, and assisting others, especially those in need. Many have achieved remarkable accomplishments that bring pride to their families, teachers, and friends.
This occasion is also a great opportunity for all the children to express their determination to continue being diligent students, helping those less fortunate, and following the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh. By doing so, they will achieve their dreams and live up to the expectations of their families and teachers, becoming good citizens of the future.
