1. Fading Cherry
Fading Cherry is one of the most beloved Tet cherry blossom varieties in our country, with its delicate, elegant pink hue. Fading Cherry features large, multi-petaled flowers, with a blooming rate of over 90%. There are various types of Fading Cherry, ranging from those with 5 petals to those with even more, some boasting 20 to 30 densely packed petals, creating a grand and lush appearance. Fading Cherry blooms in clusters, with a flowering branch lifespan of 12-15 days.
Fading Cherry exhibits excellent resistance to pests and diseases, grows rapidly, and is much more robust compared to other plant varieties. Moreover, this popular cherry blossom variety is widely distributed across northern provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Hai Duong, Hanoi, Hai Phong, bringing economic benefits to gardeners at the end of the year.
2. White Cherry
White Cherry, also known as white peach blossom, is an extremely rare variety, nearly extinct at present. Among the Tet decorative cherry blossom varieties, white cherry is considered a precious and rare species, difficult to cultivate and even harder to bloom on time for Tet compared to fading cherry and jade cherry.
In Vietnam today, the white cherry variety is extremely scarce, with only a few trees remaining in Hanoi, highly sought after by many wealthy individuals at exorbitant prices. This type of cherry produces white flowers, with a diameter of 3.5 cm, containing 18 - 20 petals per blossom, exhibiting excellent resistance to pests and diseases, and rapid growth.
White cherry is an ornamental tree that has been experimentally cultivated in Lang Son and Hanoi but has yielded unsatisfactory results. As the white cherry tree belongs to the category of exceptionally rare and difficult-to-care-for varieties, many garden owners claim they do not sell but only lease them, with rental prices soaring to tens of millions of dong per tree... which is considered normal.
