'Stories Before Tet' tells the tale of Mr. Kiếm’s plot to take over his uncle Tự's ancestral house and land. To achieve this, he organizes a grand 80th birthday celebration for Tự and attempts to forge a fake will with the help of his brother, Đạo—although their plan ultimately fails.

'Who Visits on Tet' follows Thi (played by Quốc Khánh), a handsome, tall engineer with a charming personality, from a well-off family, yet still single despite his age. His quest for a perfect wife, one who meets his unrealistic standards, leads him to avoid settling down.
Thi’s search is hindered by his own flaws—he is stingy and overly calculative in his relationships. In the end, Thi rushes to buy a pair of shoes for the woman he once dismissed for being 'too short.' The film closes with Thi realizing that true happiness doesn’t lie in perfection, and he finally finds a partner who suits him. A heartwarming and humorous film that beautifully captures the essence of Tet.

7. The New Year's Eve Guest
'The New Year's Eve Guest' is an unusual and surprising film with a meaningful conclusion. It begins with a drunken artist who mistakenly enters a neighbor's house, assuming it is his own. The house belongs to a married woman (played by Minh Hòa). The artist, in his drunken state, pretends to be the host and invites the woman and her child to join him for drinks as if they were guests.
When the mistake is revealed, the artist is warmly invited to stay, and they celebrate the New Year together. The film ends with an unexpected twist, as the artist, through this chance encounter, brings joy and happiness back into the woman's life by reuniting her with her husband, thus restoring their family.
