Thien Hung Pagoda may not be as grandiose as many other famous temples, yet it captivates visitors the moment they step into its precinct. 2. Thap Thap Pagoda
CallThap Thap Pagoda, also known as Di Da, has a history of over 300 years and is a must-visit attraction in Binh Dinh. Located in Nhon Thanh ward, An Nhon town, Binh Dinh province, Thap Thap Pagoda, or Ten-Tower Pagoda, is one of the most renowned monasteries in the Central region. The pagoda sits on Long Bich Hill, north of the ancient Champa capital of Do Ban. Its name, 'Thap Thap,' originates from the hill's previous ten Champa towers, which collapsed and disappeared over time. The pagoda was established in 1683 when Zen master Nguyen Thieu, a Chinese practitioner from Guangdong province, used the bricks and stones from the collapsed towers to build the pagoda. Thap Thap Pagoda has undergone several renovations, and its present appearance was shaped in the early 20th century.
In front of the pagoda's entrance is a spacious lotus pond covering about 500m2, blooming with fragrant lotus flowers in the summer. The entrance gate features two tall square pillars, each adorned with imposing sitting lion statues. Behind the gate is a decorative screen placed on a kneeling pedestal. While the front has lost some patterns over time, the back displays an embossed relief of a mythical dragon. The pagoda follows a Khau-shaped architecture. The main hall, constructed in a traditional house style, consists of three bays and two lean-tos supported by a structure of 4 main columns, 4 secondary columns, 8 small columns, and 16 beams. Like many temples in the former Central Vietnam, Thap Thap Pagoda worships the Three Jewels at the center, with deities like Avalokiteshvara, Mahasthamaprapta, and Kshitigarbha on the sides. The main hall also venerates Guanyin Bodhisattva, Patriarch Bodhidharma, the Eighteen Arhats, and the Eight-Deva Kings. The sculptures of the Eighteen Arhats and the Eight-Deva Kings at Thap Thap Pagoda showcase both outstanding artistic value and the simplicity of everyday life.

3. Ong Nui Pagoda
Ong Nui Pagoda, also known as Linh Phong Mountain Pagoda, is situated on the summit of Vung Peak, Phu Cat district, about 30km from Quy Nhon city. According to ancient chronicles, the pagoda was established in 1702 under the reign of Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu. At that time, a monk named Le Ban sought refuge in the eastern caves of Ba Mountain for meditation. There, he constructed a small hermitage named Dung Tuyen Pagoda. Monk Le Ban, a pioneering spiritual figure, spent his entire life meditating on the mountain, wearing bark clothing and specializing in herbal medicine for healing. The local people deeply respected him, calling him Ong Nui. On the northern slope of the mountain, the remains of a large cave, now known as Ancestral Cave, can still be found, where Ong Nui practiced meditation in the past. In 1733, Lord Nguyen, admiring the virtues of the monk, conferred upon him the title of Great Zen Master Tinh Giac Thien Tri and ordered the reconstruction of Dung Tuyen Pagoda into a larger temple named Linh Phong Zen Monastery.
To reach the entrance of Linh Phong Pagoda, visitors must walk on a smooth and airy sandy road from the foot of the mountain. Subsequently, they have to climb hundreds of stone steps along winding paths, resembling a flying dragon, from the base of Ba Mountain, with an elevation of over 100m. From here, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic Ba Mountain range, the peaceful village below, and in the distance, the overview of Phuong Mai Peninsula and the Nhon Hoi economic zone by Thi Nai Lagoon. In front of the main hall of the pagoda, heading west across a small bridge, visitors can explore the Tower tombs and ascend to the Ancestral Cave located on the mountain behind the pagoda. The Ancestral Cave is traditionally believed to be the place where Ong Nui resided and practiced Buddhist rituals. The cave has retained its pristine appearance, with rock walls inside and picturesque scenery outside. Ong Nui Pagoda is a National Historic - Cultural Monument, having been passed down through 12 generations. Every year, the Ong Nui Pagoda festival takes place on the 24th and 25th of the lunar month, commemorating the death anniversary of Ancestral Master Vien Minh at the pagoda. During this occasion, thousands of locals and pilgrims visit the pagoda to pay respects to the Buddha, admire the scenery, and go to the Ancestral Cave to offer incense and reverence to Ong Nui's merit.
